With a backpack on a bike, if you collide or stop suddenly, the backpack will propel you over the handle bars especially if loaded up. I know, i did it as a kid and ended up with broken nose, smashed teeth as it launched me into the tarmac. This was before the days of helmets - ALWAYS wear your helmet.

The size of that bike is absolutely insane! You dont need tyres that big AND suspension. Id rather save the weight and get more efficiency out the battery. The key thing to consider when buying any of these bikes is AFTER SUPPORT. How easy is getting spares and importantly how long will the bike be supported for. A lot of ebike conpanies, esp the cheaper ones, have come and gone and left users out of pocket coz they cant replace the custom battery. Still though good review

I am also a delivery boy in India using e bike. As per my one year and 20 k miles run, this will not change the game because unless you have rear suspension and step through frame it will lower the efficiency of the rider. Instead of 25 deliveries, rider will exhaust with 16-18 deliveries. Rider will exhaust in 50 miles run.

For range, speed and deliveries I would recommend light bicycle with normal rims and city tires if you ride it on normal roads. Fat tires may seem comfortable, but they are some kind of gimmick which I still do not understand why it exists, but anyway good luck!

Himiway is goatet. I have the big dog and it’s super cool. The plastic latch to unlock the battery can break so get a small tire valve tool thing with the square hole. It’s prefect to twist the little nut thing after the plastic piece that does it breaks off

Thing is cheap kits are great fun with the power etc the issue is with the batteries that come with it, there is no BMS and these batteries are known to burst into flames all of a sudden There have been so many fires due to these dodgy kits being sold to people who have 0 clue about the workings of a battery, what to look out for when buying one and most importantly the care of a battery

Love mine😀 not worked out how to unlock the throttle yet though. Also make sure you check all bolts are tight before you ride as all the bolts on my rear hub came out while riding after 100 miles and I was lucky to get home. Had to use lock tight on them to stop them coming loose great bike though 😅

I never really understood why delivery riders would use a backpack for delivery. I’ve been using my bike rack for whatever I carry since before E Bikes even existed (three bikes later, latest one is an E Bike). I just don’t feel comfortable, or balanced, with a backpack on while I ride.

There are new brands of U-LOCK, litelock and hiplock. These are more grinder resistant. Your bike will be safer with them , than your kryptonite lock.

A step through would be better and fat tires reduce your range and maneuverability. Not a game changer. Check out the Fabulous trail step and trail step elite. 20 ah battery, step through with thin road tires. There are a lot of other ebikes more suited for deliveries.

Yea, about 1k can set you up with good power and long battery life, or go for a little less power and battery at @ $750. This is a fast evolving newish market so expect better products shortly. Why drop 2k now if you don't need to? Haven't made the leap yet myself, being in an area that doesn't need many delivery drivers.

I mean I commute with a bike anyways, and I scored an amazing ebike for only $425 on Offerup. Works like a dream, just wish it had more range now that I started delivering food. Look for a used ebike near you with 50-80 miles of range and you might find a crazy deal! You could even finance it and make the payments wirh your food delivery money.

I don't understand the reason for the existence of fat tires in city bikes, first of all, such a tire weighs more, you need a rim that also weighs more, the tire creates more resistance when riding, is susceptible to side wind, the frame of this bike is heavy and with an additional basket and accessories it will be over 40 kg +, there is a reason why couriers ride on thin tires and are looking for a light frame, for about £ 1,500 you can buy a decent used electric bike with a decent battery, e.g. Lapierre Overvolt with front and rear suspension on larger wheels and lighter weight

Best bike for deliveries is a good 2000w kit, 2x 20ah batteries (Samsung/lg) and some new trek marlin or cube aim That’s 2000€ Or 1800£ Ps you are wrong about BMS (only if we talk about some real crap shit from aliexpress, which I’m not even looking at) I would definitely take diy instead i

I agree 2000w kit would be super nice for deliveries however when you do eventually get stopped by police that's the bike gone, 6 points and a hefty fine I'd rather spend the.money on a legal bike and not ride around with the stresses that one day the bike will be seized, and the riders with kits in London 99% of them buy the crap off aliexpress thinking its top notch when really it's a disaster waiting to explode
