I am now sold on the Lyriq. Great vid and I learned something. I cannot afford a brand new one but hope in the near future a used one will come available within my budget

I’m glad this vid helped you. It’s my company car. I def can’t afford it either but it’s been fun to drive it. 😃

My girlfriend has a 2024 sport 1 after having a model Y for one year and we have noticed a huge difference in battery life between the two vehicles. The Lyriq is definitely the better built between the two, but the app is terrible and nowhere near what the Tesla app is. Hopefully the tech will catch up with the Cadillac soon

There’s definitely plus and minuses about LYRIQ. The best advice I have is to spend some time reading the extended version of Owners manual to understand it better. I’ve read entire extended version and it helps to know much about this car. But otherwise it’s a fun car to drive.

Quick note I have been trying to find out when the HUD system will be placed in the Lyriq. Is the hardware in the lyriq will it be an over-the-air download? My dealer has no answer. Have you heard anything about this? Here in Canada, we do not get much info. Will it be ready by Jan 1, 2024? Thanks

So far, no updates over the air. Everything has to be updated at dealership. Only bad thing is, it does take 5-10 hours minimum for any major software updates. I do know some dealerships offer LYRIQ owners to loan another LYRIQ, if yours is getting work done at dealership.

Is this a luxury 1,2, or 3? The etched lighting on the door is this standard?

Hey sorry for late reply. I work 60+ hours a week so I’m not always able to respond quickly. I believe it’s Luxury 3 and lighting on doors is standard. But double check with your local dealership. It may be based on how you want to customize your vehicle.

I have level 2 charging at home...does this work for this to vs using the DC fast charging?
@ruswadventures
@ruswadventures Год назад
Hi David thank you for reaching out to me with this question. Yes Level 2 should work as long as the Wattage is between 150V-250V capability. Most Level 2 are highly recommended by manufacturers as it’s a safer choice, for home. For absolute best results, I recommend starting Battery 🪫 Pre-Conditioning an hour before you plug it in, while vehicle stationary.

Hows the reliability so far?
@ruswadventures
@ruswadventures Год назад
Thank you for your question. So far, at nearly 19K miles, it is overall reliable with very little issues, except your regular scheduled maintenance.

@@ruswadventures what kind of maintenance are scheduled now that there is no oil changes
@ruswadventures
@ruswadventures 12 дней назад
@@superfly4137 very little maintenance to be done. Tire rotation every 10K-20K miles. And few other things. The only bad thing is every time it needs a new software update, you can’t install it remotely. You have to go to dealership and it takes about 5+ hours to install. Most dealerships will not give you a loaner, so you have to spend 5+ hours at dealership. That’s something Cadillac missed the mark on.
