Ogunranti Adebayo Moses is a final year student and co-founder of a travel and logistics start-up, Travella. His pitch was compelling enough to get some of some of the Lions on his side, but not without some bumps along the way.
What made the young man do it was the FAVOUR OF GOD through MEN ,I bless the name of the lord for the life of Moses May you be Moses of your family in Jesus name Go out and conquer
Lion Bolaji is really a nice guy with an heart! Same as Lion Adenike! Lion Dan is hard-nosed 😂, no emotions - Business is Business!, Lion Paul and Lion Kyari are pragmatic and more fascinated by Techpreneurs.
My question for Moses: 1) How do you ensure the security of the items being sent? 2) How do you ensure the safety of your Traveler eg someone transporting contraband in case they are not giving the package to your support staff 3) How do you plan to have people at all the airports in the world? 4) How are you charging for the items sent, how does the customer see the rate for the items they are seeing? As someone who has experience in this and had a logistics App, 30m will not be enough to achieve building the App, working security, or purchasing insurance and others.....but the good thing here is the Lions have experience and can also help in training you and shaping your idea. You are in safe hands with 3 great Lions with diverse expertise backing you. wish you all the best!
I think I have some of the answers he can open the app or model further to have some people singed up as guides or guiders. So there are three people on the chain. 1. Traveller 2. Sender or customer 3. Certified guides. Certified guides are people on the platform who go through scrutiny and training to help check details. They can be plenty of them. So one person wants to travel he connects with a certified guide to check, the person picks up and also connects with a certified guide to check with the radius. Remember the customer has paid so immediately the cash is disbursed to each body. So everybody makes money and go home. The certified guides, the traveller and the tech company. 40%-50% can be shared between the tech and the guides and the traveller takes the rest. The tech pays an annual fee to verification comp and small fee for insurance but also any more insurance on the luggage (that's premium is covered by the customer)
@@fegodaniels6459 yes, but then it becomes complex if you introduce certified guides who are not travelers. So the process will not exactly be fast and straight forward if the person verifying is different from the person delivering. This means there will be a lot of idle time and the cost becomes higher when there are more people involved with the process as everyone needs to make money.
This guy have sense... Lion's Den is doing great work to support Africans innovators. Getting this investment opportunities from our own is better than getting it from the foreigners buying up our innovation and reselling back to us in retail. I will love to join you he Lion's Some day in the vision for African innovations.
Mr bolaji is always making an offer first, he’s the one always brave enough to understand how with the right minds on board, tech can change lives instantly.
@@ayodelealedare6507 Hello. Just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you very much. He is coming back very soon and He wants you to be ready. Just go to Him as you are. You don’t have to be perfect. The only thing He requires is a full surrender of your life. Go to Him and give Him your life and everything. Once you surrender everything (from the heart). He will give you The Holy Spirit in His fullness. The Holy Spirit will then give you faith, the power to overcome sin, peace, fulfillment and above all, eternal life. You cannot do it on your own strength. It’s only by the Holy Spirit. And you get The Holy Spirit once you lay everything down, including your life at The Lord’s feet. He says in His Word “Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit”. People think Christianity is boring. That’s because they see it as a religion. Christianity is not a religion, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who loves you and gave Himself for you. Having a relationship with Christ is the most joyful fulfilling thing you can ever have. Jesus changed my life and He wants to change yours as well. The reason we are all here is to fellowship with and have a relationship with God.

This is an excellent idea, but it needs alot of care! Just one wrong good sent, the business can crumble. Much much care needed, but i think the team can make it work. Congratulations guys!
I love these investors . If it was in Ghana they won't accept early stage they will only see the risk not the opportunities . 👍 lions am going to follow you on twitter
That's a good offer actually, one thing he did correctly is that he gave the lions an understanding of the size of the market which is always important and also the share of the market they think they will have
He got the chance and it's obvious he won't waste it. 3 lions and the full cheddar for 26% thats already saying something about the potential valuation here. If were him I'd go back to the drawing board and have a SWOT analysis done to improve the app and the backend processes
A same package can be carried by many travellas in case the chain is broken... A travella will carry the package till it's destination where either the receiver will get his package or another travella will pick it up to travel with to the receiver's area... Etc. Great idea man.
They'll need a great algorithm to track travella's position and destination at every given time else it will be a trade off of travellas' time for package delivery
The safest bet is that of the airport. Because once there's a change of hands outside the airport, the security of the parcel then has a more unknown variable and then more focus on insurance will be made.
That is a bad deal 10m for 26% & another 10m as convertible Meaning that the other 10 can be converted to stock at that same valuation meaning you’ll loss another 26% . So In total you’ll end up giving up 52% of your business. That’s why she kept asking “do you understand “
Most of the people that got these deals don’t know what they bought, they just get carried away by the numbers only to get home and realize they will be working their asses of for the next few years for nothing in return…
People should understand that you don't seek funding when the company isn't yet working. Funding is (just) to help you move to the next level and not to implement your idea. When you understand that, investor will run towards you like for this case in the video.
I am stuck in two minds, I feel if an investor only invests in companies that are already working then its effectively a cheat mode, take that risk and take a punt when its unproven.
Great idea, great entrepreneur. Clearly the idea isn’t fully formed yet. They should be able to assist him with it. @23, he’d regret the 26% decision tho. In his next round he’d find out. By the time he’s at seed round, he’d own nothing in that company. The ideal situation would have been for him to get enough traction and do that deal at 5%. His lack of traction is the reason they went for 26%.
Stock issued through rounds can always be diluted later. Dilution allows for stock to split and multiply, there by making available more stocks for each round of investment. And building higher equity for your first believers.
There are a lot of issues with the business model, but most importantly is the issue of Package content declaration. Which stupid passenger would take a package unsure of the real content and cross a police checkpoint in Nigeria, how much more crossing an international airport with a package he/she cannot vouch for the content.
You see, I would say, Moses is a BLESSED CHILD for him to have gotten the ATTENTION of the MIGHTY LIONS 🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁, who have made their OFFER which doesn't seem to REALLY GO WELL With his PARTNER on the other end! But, come to think of it, if we have to consider the GOODWILL, VALUE & MENTORSHIP of these TITANS, coaching, guiding and oiling your DREAMS, financially, then you would agree, the SUPPORT & ENCOURAGEMENT, you derive, is a very RARE OPPORTUNITY..!
There are lots of ways to reduce that to the barest minimum and insurance will cover the rest. And I believe users can even be rated based on how they handle packages since they make money with it.
I don’t like when older entrepreneurs tell younger entrepreneurs that they are too young. How old is the founder of Snapchat, how old was zuckerberg when He started FB. We have teenage millionaires in the U.S. The age factor should be totally erased in Africa. If there’s a problem with his business model, tell him that but don’t tell him He’s too young please.
They didn't say he was too young. They said he was too early/ impatient. If he had come with a full mobile app it would have been easier to scale. Plus, his age helped him. They invested in him as a person. The business is not scalable at this stage.
Oh. This made me smile. But I'm so angry that this show isn't getting the attention it deserves. An educational show like this is supposed to have millions of views and subscribers. It's sad that a useless show like BBN is getting more views than this show. Our people are not interested in anything that is knowledgeable. We are more interested in sex and sex topics. Which is really sad
Amazon started to solve problems in the states first he started to solve problem within his country thinking too Nigerian is infact the most appropriate way to go about it, you have to understand the mindset of people you are selling the market to
