When Charlotte overheard George talking to his mother, she thought he was saying he only consummated the marriage out of duty. But really he was just sick of Augusta being in his business. He started off telling her it was his marriage and it escalated to what Charlotte overheard. Augusta really ruined the morning for Charlotte and George after their beautiful night. It's really clear in the book.

The way King George's mom looks when he's dancing with Charlotte is so precious. She loves seeing him happy.

Just an observation - in episode 2 when George was talking to his mother he never actually said he was pretending to like Charlotte. I took it as him being exasperated with his mother and all the demands she places on him. He did say he often has to act contrary to his passions. I believe he was meaning Charlotte was among them and didn't like having to not let her know him, etcetera.

And according to history books, King George III did suffer from mental disorder, but what exactly it was, no one knew. Anyways, new subscriber here and i love your reaction.
