Thank you everyone for watching ❤ Btw, some people have asked where to donate, which is really appreciated cause I make ZERO money off these videos (cause of all the copyrighted music I use). So I have a PayPal me link in the description!
so they can push more work onto the minimal on air talent they currently have. why have one dedicated host when you can cycle host, interviewer, analyst, and caster between 4 people? Dash deserves better than what the lcs wouldve given him
Doesn't happen often these days that a 16 minute video grabs my attention all the way til the end. Insanely well made, loved it in its entirety. Even made me a bit emotional in the end ngl. Good shit.
in all honestly it was NRG's run at worlds that brought back life to the LCS as delusional as it was it gave hope and as they say all you need is a little hope
Life hasnt been brought back to the LCS tho, they had a very slight increase in viewership but thats including the fact that they gave some of the biggest content creators in the league space co-streaming so in actuality the viewership is still going down.
@@BradleyIAM average viewership from spring 2023 was 109,759 compared to spring 2024 with 120,686. Thats a roughly 11k increase but as i said they opened up costreaming to pretty much everyone and very notable people in the league community started costreaming LCS for the first time ever like Caedrel and Baiano and others. These 2 streamers make up for way more than that 11k difference. I just looked it up and what i said is just factually correct, happy?
NRG run at Worlds is THE reason I started watching and following LCS/Pro at all and I've been playing since 2012. Now I can't believe I missed all those years.
Such a great video. With goosebumps on my arms and tears welling up in my eyes, this is truly a love letter to the LCS. I know LCS will probably never win Worlds/MSI but every tournament I'm bleeding red white and blue. GG
oh man...I haven't been this glued to a screen in such a long time. Thank you so much for the memories and I will continue to support this amazing esport, especially our boys in the LCS. Can't wait for the next video!
Man 12:05 giving me chills. I used to be a color caster for Raafaa, Kangas, and Joushi back when they were in the amateur scene. Always knew they had the chops to make it, but it's so cut throat in Esports. So glad to see they've all made it, fucking legends 🥲
banger of a video, been watching LCS on and off since season 3/2013 when I was 13, now I'm 24, season 14 still tuning in whenever I have my free time, thank you for this time capsule of a video amazing work man
As a long time LCS fan this might be my favorite video of all time. Just captures the craziness of the ride that loving this game, sport, and league has been.
@@aaronschroth5512 you clearly havent watched league then we have made MSI finals twice 2016 and 2019 then c9 made it out into semis in 2018 also you had NRG who made it into main stage last year i know NA is shit but dont downplay what has been done
it's hard to root for LCS when a lotta rookies are being unfavored for tryna buy old players when they could've spent less developing young talents. and it's even harder when 50% of the team aren't even americans. that's why NRG was a breath of fresh air.
This is one of the best League of Legends videos I've seen period. I got into league right at the start of 2016. This unironically made me a little bit emotional because this game/esport/region have been something I look forward to. It feels genuine to me and seeing so much of this greatness again gave me some chills. This region though it's not the best sometimes feels like it could possibly be a powerhouse and give me hope EVERY SINGLE YEAR. I love LCS, we have great casters, great on air talent, and players who can become great. Great edit man. Thanks for this, unironically gave me motivation to actually spend time on some solo queue (weird I know, but made me inspired to work hard. Great work.
The 'Daydream' portion really hit hard was when I started really watching pro league and was great to see those moments again. Starting to get some same feeling this year thank you for making this
I was never a big fan of Mark on broadcast or even really in the scene at all, but the second I saw him talk about being the new commissioner and all their new idea, I knew he was going to be the best thing that happened to the LCS in years
@@suluhwidyotomo7942I think they can be marketable but they just aren’t aloud to say much especially right after franchising there’s was so much money and sponsors they had to hold them selves back most of the time and be completely brand friendly but I think that’s starting to change a bit
As an european Fnatic fan it's fun to flame and participate in banter between regions but i truly hope you guys succeed and go as far as you can each internacional, we need to get americans interested in league once more, you're still a big part of this and the one thing we all have in common is our love for the game and we can't do this without you guys, for the sake of our community, for the sake of League of Legends and for the sake of this beautifull esport that caught my interest even more then the casuals sports, we need to put NA back on the map, we need to pressure Riot and make them take this esports more serious, i'm speaking about NA but even EU is slowly decaying, Riot needs to do better for us in the West, more events, tournaments, promos etc. We need to come together as a community cause if NA truly falls, it will be only a matter of time before the whole esport collapses
They need to fix player numbers. Promote the game more, nobody new plays it, numbers are declining for some time now. Releasing new champs does nothing for would be players. Promote using your waifus and husbandos
I’ve had a lot of resentment for EU fans and online personalities for a while now because of just how toxic they were to our players and teams I know it wasn’t just EU doing it but they seemed the main proponent of how negatively people started to view the LCS and obviously some of that is how bad we did for a few years there but anytime even to this day whenever NA does something good all the EU casters and personalities down play it but when an EU team does something okay they are all positive about it
The level of goosebumps at the end of the video was insane!!!! Well done and thank you so much for encapsulating the full experience of being a fan of the LCS. I have watched since the before the world championships were created and it felt soo good to see it all in one quick perfect video. Also one that didn't shy away from the lows of the LCS and sourced all voices on the topic. Thank you!
This was a damn good video, well done. Been watching LCS for what feels like forever (since 2013) and no matter how they do internationally I genuinely just enjoy watching the region. This got me hyped for summer split, well done!
Not me shedding actual tears on my way into work this morning... 🥲 What an absolute BANGER video, my man! Was excited about your introduction videos for the Dig players this split, and now I'm even more excited for the LCS overall. I'm rooting for TL and NRG, but tbh I love almost every team (now that we are down to only 8), so it doesn't matter who makes it to Worlds this year, I know they're gonna absolutely crush it. Thank you so much for making this! It was fantastic. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕
When I watch anything related to LCS as a TSM fan I get depressed. I understand how that older guys that keep talking about the 80s Bears felt. It will never be the same again.
Very well made. Idk if it would have been possible to show both playerz like Licorice, Stixxay and Contractz's early highs and then revisit them with all of their return to form last year in some way. Though I'm glad they at least got some highlight they deserved.
Great fkin video... Loved it even tho I'm an EU viewer. It would probably hit me twice as hard if I was a NA fan. Hope u'll do a vid like that on LEC, fkin beautiful man...
I said this when I quit lol at the end of season 4. If you change the playable characters identities while giving the viewers no reason to care about an individual pro player, people will quit playing. By the end of season 4 I had seen too many characters completely reworked that I stopped caring to play. Constant change is not good for the player base or pro scene. Riot just kept changing everything to try and attract the next years children of interest. Fortnite and valorant is attracting the next years children not LOL. Now you have a collapsing scene globally minus China/Korea. China/Korea are an isolated bubble. They don't need the USA/EU. If Riot gets desperate enough, I bet we see throwback mini seasons to play what it was like in season 1/2/3 etc. The championship faker ahri cash out makes it clear that Riot wants to start retroactively banking history feelings.
Just watched the video because it was mentioned on the Travis podcast. Great video! I fell out of love with the LCS a long time ago, like, 2014. I think that, now, the potential perfect storm is brewing for a real comeback in viewership. This video is the cherry on top of everything else. I work on Sundays for about 13 hours, but I will do my best to be a viewer for both the LCS and the NACL. I want to basically vote with my viewership that I agree with the efforts being put into the scene, and I hope others do the same. We’ll see if a team can win me over as a fan 🤞
I was shaking, crying, getting goosebumps on repeat while watching. Does not matter which part of the world you are... does not matter where you watch this... for sure we all love league! We all love some good effin league of legends! Great vid. Thank you Silvxs.
If you're wondering where that banger version of 'Call Me' came from in the intro: music.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u7P6CvSPeVQ.html
Thank God Mark became commissioner. He best represented the players, casters, and fans the most when it comes to LCS. As a 100T fans, I hate and thank APA for all chatting every game. It brings competitiveness to the maximum.
To be honest , I used to go to watch the game live on Sat / Sun with a friend but since they switched to Wed and Thurs , I didn't even be able to catch a game .
Holy.. sent shivers down my spine. I've felt the LCS throwing haymakers at the air trying to get something to land, and somehow, it is climbing back against all odds. I love the game, I love the scene. I'll keep cheering and hold myself to the standards of what a Fan should be. ❤🎉
I don't know if I'm the only one that feels this way but I LOVED the rivalries between the teams, even if they are just acting. It makes it so much more enjoyable and you have to pick a team you support and you get emotional when they win or lose. Towards the end of the LCS they are all so professional and friendly to each other which made me care less about who wins or loses and I just watch if I have nothing else to do.
Damn this vid brings back memories holy cow not just of in game stuff but alos the friends i had back then we played it made me emotional good vid bud!
I feel like hundred thieves and optic joining the league saved it. It added so many faithful fans followed those brands. Doublelifts multiple returns probably had something to do with it too
Tbf 2016 NA Was a little insane, they didnt win, but i think it was really the only time where all 3 Na teams where at least on the level of the bottom tier Asian teams.
Man, you made me realize I'm still holding on to that TSM IEM Katowice Win from like, 9 years ago. My olden brain has a hard time adjusting, so I'll have to go through All-Star LA 2015, MSI 2016, Rift Rivals 2017, Worlds 2018, All Star 2018, MSI 2019, MSI 2022.. then uh, unless I missed something, its mostly small wins after that.
Those are all 5+ years old and it's only been since then that we've seen the decline of the league... But that hasn't stopped us from having new awesome stories. 2020 Golden Guardians become the protagonists for a day, Jojo and Danny win their rookie years, Licorice redemption arc into solokilling Bin, NRG doing the impossible and winning LCS, then beating G2, and of course, YAPA and Yeon win the chip and take a game off Faker. There are always new incredible things happening in LCS and I love being along for the ride. Also, I listed a whole bunch of positive storyarcs above, but there is one more I need to include from 2020. The most dominant NA team of all time... completely collapses after losing a scrim to Yuumi. And doesn't make worlds.
Man a lot of these feel like they happened yesterday. Time flies and I love the memories but I'm glad I'm in a better place and would never go back lol.
@@Silvxs I've kept watching because you're one of the few people that captures what esports is all about, you're fucking amazing man haha. Your content has always been criminally underrated, hope one day you get to do something similar to what Fionn does and direct your own teasers/official Riot content!
Im from EU here, I hope both our regions will get stronger in the future. Would be great to have more western teams to perform well at international tournaments 🎉
Why, whenever you post a video, I feel every possible emotion possible and I am hyped up for the West to take down the East at Worlds. HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT!?
I have never been told a story like this, just pure emotions and memories, I was there, watching those pentakills go, I remember that death group of CLG, ROX and the unexpected ANX, watching Huhi on the legendary Asol, I could feel hope when CLG reached MSI finals, I got hit so fucking hard when Dyrus, my favorite, top retired, and the happiness in 2019, when the West suddenly looked like the region to finally believe, then, the end, past the glorious views of 2020, the Esport of practically all my life is dying, not really because the game is suddenly decided to die, but rather because the company wants it dead, thanks for the memory road
Man this should have made me hype for NA but as a fan since season 2, it's just been too many years of grueling disappointment after disappointment. Great work on the video though, you can tell a lot of effort was made.
I don't really play the game and I've only been following LCS since late 2018, so I didn't get much of the "glorious" history of LCS, but I still loved this video. I don't care which region has the best gameplay or whatever, I just care about LCS and to be honest, right now I'm invested in the underdog story, I hope NA can revive the region!
What... WHAT IS THIS AMAZING PRODUCTION!? Bro, it felt like I was watching a video from RIot... no, better, because in this video you acknowledged the mistakes and showed how we got through them. What a ride, what a video... wow. You've ignited my love for LCS again. Also, he's right, as fans... why aren't we held to the same standard. Maybe as fans we need to stop asking the pros to show up for worlds and maybe we the fans need to show up for them. They need us, they don't have the support they used to. Sponsorships be damned... they need our support. As a random voice in space, a nobody... if enough of us collect, we are a voice and a movement. Let's love our pro's and let's show them we believe and I promise they will do it.
HOLYFCK!! THIS IS AN AMAZING VIDEO AND BEAUTIFULLY EDITED!! WELL DONE!! I watch LCS and know these players by heart even when they get drafted to a different team or new roles. I'm peak gold. Bruh I really want any NA team to win worlds. ahahaha please.
