Wanted to add some additional info to this video: @ 3:31 - The funniest part is that the priest died while having interrupt ready. At the end of the video (on my channel if anyone would like to watch it), I show all stats and deaths from the run + interrupts. Shocking to nobody, Priest had a total of 5 interrupts.
I must say, I love how you always respond to your community of followers and stuff, that’s honestly so cool to me.. I never tend to ever see any content creators engaging with their viewers as much as you do. It is admirable. I also love these pug vids you do, I find them pretty entertaining. I'm a healer, was in an 11 RLP this week's mob pack and asked when we'd like to Lust as I know some groups have a preference. Got responses like "its Fort week - what do you mean to call lust?" "Do you need me to hold your hand too?" I ended up just saying that I wanted to make sure, didn't see the calls for lust mid-pack pull (that is on me) but I did ask for it at the start. I ended up getting trash talked - whispered throughout by a shadowpriest and warlock asking if I needed my hand held, if I was a little baby and needed a wipe too. All of this, just for asking when to lust. M+ in my experience has been generally fine, but I've seen a handful of incredibly toxic players and it ruins the overall experience.
maybe its actually 42 and a period. because 42 is the answer to the universe. but 43? even khadgar would say its far too many but 41 would have certainly been called too few.
i wih there was an addon or something that said "you died and these abilities were not on cd: kick, defensive 1, defensive 2, ccAbility1, ccAbility2". and then they make a captcha thing with "select what you could have pressed to not die" before you can release
Stupid & bad players do not deserve to be basically told what they should’ve done to not have died. People that do higher keys like this should just automatically know what they should’ve done, otherwise tough shit, they don’t deserve to finish the key successfully til they learn from their mistakes.
That sounds pretty good, tbh. It'd be even better if the addon was able to calculate the results of using the addons, so it doesn't spam "You had your 20% DR up m8" when the guy got overkilled by 50% health, or a "You could have healed yourself with CD" when it would not have kept them alive. Honestly, this sounds a lot better than that garbage ElitistHelper addon. I wonder if it's too hard to make, I kind of want it to exist now.
@@babyyoda2745 Maybe not this particular example, but addons that recap scenarios after the fact are very useful in WoW for anybody. Nobody on the planet "automatically knows" what they should have done, that's not how humans work. You learn from experience and remember it. It's why death logs are so useful or recording gameplay. This just sounds like another one of those, except much more obnoxious and redundant in certain cases. How is anyone supposed to learn from their mistakes if they don't know what the mistake was? You have to review what went wrong in order to establish the mistakes, that's what key push groups spend half their time doing, reviewing mistakes and adjusting routes accordingly. My group definitely does. If you think addons don't assist with that you're completely wrong. That being said I do agree that this particular example would not be useful and just spammy, but you saying people just "automatically" know is silly, nothing works that way.
I noticed that behavior from the priest the most from people playing the flavor of the month specs/classes, the druid probably had the kick taken but I cant really tell if he was in cat form cat weaving between heals to dps or just had normal form all the time but cat weaving an interrupt isn't difficult especially when you know if an interrupt is coming plus you can pre HoT people as a druid to prep. The outburst from the priest wasn't necessary here they probably might have been able to time it or complete it at least.

@@heythereguysitsMetro He used it, 4:23 it is on CD with 4sec remaining and the druid alive. The only way for this to show like this is if he used his kick before.
I know that's not the main issue in there but the fact that the dudu heal didn't kicked a lot makes sense, usually if dudu resto takes interrupt that's just a safety option but it's not very practical. Their kick is just the feral kick, it should only works in cat form, making it not very viable in critical situations where healing is needed. Watching how they handled those pulls seems fair that the healer couldn't kick those casts as they were just sitting there on every mechanic possible xD as always nice work btw, love to see new content from u!
Thanks for saying so! unfortunately these casts are nearly 1 shotting players, so there is no amount of healing that would take priority over a single kick there.
the toxic thing i have to deal with recently in m+ is people not knowing how augment works its just. you deal no dmg, they dont understand the buffs and the utility it brings. in a key i had a 70ish % uptime on the ebon might buff which i think is pretty good being about 1.3k main stat. but yeah its waa you deal no damage, whilst the only damage i see is in their brains.
I have never seen a single person comment on augmentation's overall damage since season 2. If you are seeing that, please press that record button and send me the footage of it happening. That would be a wild one to have on the channel!
@heythereguysitsMetro shame my friend thst streams wasn't in the group to have it recorded. It was a warlock that wasnt happy with my dmg, claiming he was carrying the dmg which he would with an augment buffing him. All I did to rile him was rescue him to the rock on last boss of Nok and say go to rock with spear mate. So it wasn't even a rude way to say it. To which he responded after the boss "don't tell me what to do with the shit damage you've done all run" . Followed by a few colorful insults after I asked if he knew what Aug does.
Another great video! Gratz! As a healer myself, I find it hilarious when ppl starts to blame me for their deaths when they could have prevented it by themselves (by interrupting, dispelling or using personals/pots). What I do like to do when they start the “…” is to completly ignore them as I believe that is the attention that they really want, you know?
Nice breath of fresh air to find your channel man. I exclusively play M+ pugs as Disc, and finally decided to quit after getting my KSH in S4. Disc doesn't have the best reactive toolkit, so when people step in bad and I can't recover, it's always such a barrage of anger and blame thrown at me. It's fun, but not fun enough to justify dealing with all the unwarranted toxicity from DPSers who only tunnel-vision their rotations
Ya no doubt. Give another healer a try! Those problems go away if you play a Holy Paladin for example. Or Resto Shaman, they have such a wide utility kit all the stuff that happens in this key wouldn't have mattered if the healer was committed to it! Priest sadly just sucks for pugging. Always has and likely always will.
This is one of the reasons I try to avoid inviting FoTM specs to pug keys. It's just such a gamble to invite one of the dozens of FoTM folks that queue up. Odds are they're some Andy who picked it based on some dumb tier list and has less than a single season's worth of experience on the spec. If a player has respectable io on an unpopular spec, the chances are much higher they know wtf they're doing.
@@heythereguysitsMetro True, it's hard when the vast majority chase the meta despite never even coming close to content that would see a tangible advantage from it. I've found the best success avoiding those types is to list my own key when I can't fill the group with people I know.

The best way to deal with this is to use an automarker, and assign icons to players before the key. Then you know who isn't using their kick. It's unreasonable to expect a pug to kick properly without overlapping kicks with no comms otherwise. Of course in this run players just weren't using their kicks at all, that is just a symptom of being used to running with overpowered DH double sigils, something that will be going away in prepatch.
Ya was gonna say, there was only one thing that needed to be kicked every time and it still wasn't happening haha Demon Hunter certainly has created some bad habits.
I'm watching the video and you mention the resto druid might not have a kick because he isn't using it, but at 4:24 and a couple other spots in the video it's on cooldown, so it's not a UI bug. For the Arynga pack (or any pack with a Stormspeaker) the Stormspeaker's Tempest cast can be stopped with CC, so you can use interrupts on the Stormbolts and CC for the Tempest casts. Also, not sure where I'm remembering this from, but those casts are supposed to hurt, Blizzard tunes them to hurt because they are not supposed to go through. And as for the toxicity thing, it's crazy. I think people's egos get in the way of moving forward. Like if they could have had an honest conversation about what happened like adults, they may or may not have been able to save the key but they could have gotten a little bit better at the game, even if at that level they should be aware of what's killing them. Instead, the priest's takeaway is the tank is stupid and the healer didn't heal.
Tempest going through on fort wks is brutal. CC will stop it as well if an interrupt is not available. That Priest could have Mass Dispelled the dot as well. But if Tempest goes off, that's an auto defensive every time for every one. Nokhud is one of those rewarding dungeons. If kicks and cc's go smoothly the run is fun and it feels super rewarding to time. It was such a killer key in season 1 compared to now.
When we miss one player with my group, we'd rather take a non meta DPS, 90% of the time they actually know how to play their class, use their interrupts and defensives and they make more than decent DPS
The most impressed I’ve ever been in a key was actually this dungeon, Nokhud. A Resto Shaman ended the key with 51(!) interrupts, obviously did sufficient healing, and even had solid damage. These guys only care about the details meter, they have no clue what it means to be good and would never be caught dead tanking, healing or supporting.
Had a moment the other day where I had to keys back to back that disbanded before the first boss. As the tank I’ll pull the first 2 groups together while everyone has CD’s and it helps me gauge the flow of everyone’s play styles. I can see interrupts, how the healers doing, are dps avoiding shit. That sort of thing. In both groups a dps and the healer types zzzzz’s and said I should pull more. Then next pull would be 3 packs instead of 2. In both scenarios everyone died except me. In both scenarios the group immediately complained I was too reckless this time and blamed me for no getting enough interrupts off or not giving the rest of the group enough heals and support (again just the tank here) to which both groups disbanded immediately. I often wonder if this behaviour is linked to a popular RU-vidr or something where multiple people watch 1 guy and then copy how that guy acts with their own runs. I find it really strange to have multiple groups act the exact same without any overlapping members. Wish I could record these clips because it’s hilarious seeing their confidence immediately shatter and panic insult someone else to get the heat off themselves
This is why I play rshaman so I can just carry them with my interrupt, stun and knock up. But on my disc priest what a nightmare. My guess counting was 35...................................
This is a major issue for healers. As a healer myself, I will be quitting healing, and i won't ever look back. Blaming the healer for deaths is the most inconsiderate thing you can do in a mythic plus environment. Healing is high stress zero reward. The decision-making you have to make when those heaths bars dip is unreal. Choosing who to heal and who to let die. Trust me when I say this. A healer knows when there is going to be a death in an encounter. If this doesn't stop, there will be fewer healers than tanks

This is why I am looking forward to Delvs. I have shit gear so doing above a +3 is hard and I have no firends so it's all PUGs...and this is normal. At least Delves I can do on my own
You can pug all the way to 10 if you have some basic fundamentals. Just turn off chat and make mistakes, that’s how I was able to get good. Ignore toxic players and learn. If someone asks, just say you’re new to plus.
I really like what you said about fotm rerollers ruining the game. Ive been saying this for a while now but how the fotm community is just destroying LFG. Alot of fotm rerollers have higher io then they are deserving because they are being more carried by their class then their actual skill. The biggest example of this is aug players. Aug is such a strong class with a low barrier of entry that I see so many augs in the ~17 range that dont even know how to use aug utility. Not zephyring at good times, never rescuing, sending their cds whenever and not with the group, bad ebon might uptime, etc. Due to the prevalence of fotm chasers, it feels nearly impossible to get into a group as "off meta" choice because you never have to wait long for the numerous fotm rerollers to apply. It feels punishing to play what you find fun over what is considered "best". And alot of peoples solution to this when I say its hard getting into keys as xyz healer, is to "just play druid so you get invited" which goes against the whole point im trying to make. Peoples solution to not getting invited as "not top tier class" is to just play top tier classes which just makes the cycle even worse. You just get to the point where we have now where most keys are run with the same 5 specs. Meta really shouldnt even be considered until like title level of keys (~19s) and even still every spec (except affliction) has gotten title last season which shows you basically every single spec can succeed at the highest of levels. Id trust a high io non meta player over the same io meta player since if they are succeeding as an off meta pick, you can tell that they are not being carried by their spec.
I agree, its a huge issue and its all due to how pugging works. You need to be in a key to progress and often times getting invites is more valuable than anything else. So a player who gets invited to 100 keys a month will by default get more score than some one who gets invited to 25 keys a month, even if the player upgraded all 25 of those.
😂 pugs.. im pretty good with my counterspells (mage main) but what i notice is people dont interrupt.. (where its a hard spell interrupts or a valid stun) So as that cast bar ticks down, i burn my counterspell, as another player throws out their kick.. But my "kicks" are on a high cooldown timer as opposed to a rogue. Half the time i land a counter is because the other person missed, or didnt. 😂 But jeez personal cooldowns can mitigate some of that damage. As a dps class its common that i notice other people push damage... And completely lack survivability.. I noticed it classic.. "cool spell damage on ragnaros, you died because you pulled agro within the first minute, and your buffed health is so low fire ticks will eventually burn you to 0 anyway" Says the last mage alive for guild first Ragnaros. I just recall the retail crowd calling classic "easy" And them still dying to the same mechanics we've all been playing for like 2 fkn decades 🤣🤣
No clue what your comments are meant to mean about classic. It is measurably easy. You can do it without a full group and people clear it in greens. Just because one person dies doesn't mean the content isn't easy.
Its crazy to me how people don’t prioritize tempest in that area and rotting wind in the next area. With stormbolt being casted, you can literally see if its being casted on you even with the default UI. Pop a fkn defensive or use your kick. Everybody quick to blame healers for not having enough vers/using defensives and getting wrecked. This is VDH’s fault. VDH has carried all these trash specs (spriest/lock) to the point they forget how to do mechs and just spend all their time dpsing.
@@heythereguysitsMetro you can cc the stormspeaker which does important casts too. In that clip you can see the evoker kicking the stormspeaker twice which he could use on the other guy if they use cc
what I do notice and think is contributing to all the toxicity etc now is because its so late in the season and before next expansion that only the lower tier players remain. The mid and higher tier players(who are mainly good because they do look at their own mistake and try to improve from it) are just waiting for next month and not playing the game anymore. Could be im wrong tho, but i feel like its just allways getting more toxic later in the seasons we are

This video serves as a classic case study of showing why healers and tanks are in such short supply. The dps dies = no heals, the dps dies after pulling = why no tank?. Even if they do everything right, they end up getting trashed on. Also, if he had actually used those dots in the game, he'd be a better player instead of talking so much.
this is why im afraid of TWW. the dungeons needs lots of interrupts and im playing as holy priest so my interrupt is fear and playing on EU (just as for my exp), when i pug i expect 0 interrupts from the group and many keys fail to that. having kickable casts go on and one shot ppl and having those group wipes. when someone in the group actually uses interrupt its positive surprise.
Oh, this is normal for EU, he probably played with players that did the interrupt mechanics, etc, most of the mechanics can be duo with a tank/melee, used to do that a lot when I duo with my friend, the scary part for me is not the flame, it's the fact that he don't seems to realize what is the problem and blame it on healer, miss kick and miss affixed, expecting the healer to 'just heal' its stupid
In the UK ... means something unsaid. In this context it's something negative and/or which contradicts what was said before. For example someone does something obviously bad and you type "dude...." Or someone says something you think is wrong and say "okay...." I'm not sure whether it has the same meaning in the rest of Europe. Way back in vanilla we used to struggle to get full raids for Molten Core so merged with another guild. During our first raid together some guy literally ended everything with ... and i told him to stop as it was rude. He said it didn't mean anything and kept doing it. So i kicked him from the raid. Many tears ensued. Don't be rude then, really simple.

the problem is people think there are only 3 classes and play as such...... ranged and CC need to be played properly, there are entire talent trees dedicated to being the interrupt guy...
I haven’t had much issues with toxicity in s1 2 and 3. But then again I only invite / join English realms and avoid Kazzak like the plague. Argent dawn is also a high risk server but can be nice. Also avoid inviting fotm classes, the players behind these are usually shit. It’s sad this has to be the way but it is what it is.
so many dps players around this key level basically have no concept of responsibility or accountability, and basically turn up and play like they've only got a rough picture of what is going on. if they die, its aggro (tank issue) or healing (healer issue), if their damage is bad the tank pulled too small, if the group wipes, then the tank pulled too big. so long as they follow the tank and press their damage buttons in an order that loosely resembles optimal, then they did their job and tanks/healers/other dps are holding them back from 4000IO. theres no way these dudes look at the particulars of why they died becuase they already know it was someone else who needs to buck up their ideas. simple as that. Naturally this - perhaps willful - attempt to hold them back from greatness is met with nothing but crazed, garment rending rage and fundementally unhelpful communication. So entitled. Honestly, |'m not sure if in a perfect world where good AI could be programmed to act about right for the key you're playing, if I'd prefer to play with bots.
Eh not really. This is pretty rare, at least here on US. Classic is far worse either way, especially when you consider how easy the content people are gatekeeping and being elitist over is.
As Blood DK tank since day one, its every expansion, every season same shit, blameing others for your personal fails, not playing dungeon, affixes, interupts, etc...and classic at end either Tank or Healers "fault"....
