It has been months since the last hunt showdown video, I’ve been starving for more. Watching Jack and co. play this game is the highlight of the channel for me honestly.
You might consider PsycoGhost, he's on twitch but also uploads to youtube. he's as good, maybe better than Jack(skills wise). My roommate showed me Hunt and we found Psycoghost pretty early on.
Same bro, I absolutely love this game and I have been playing it since the early access, I think it was in 2018. So after nearly 5 years of playing I can tell you that this game is not so popular because of the game running difficulty, you need a really decent set up to play this game to even the 60fps mark, over the years they fixed it and optimized it, but it is still hardware heavy. Another thing is the game has a really specific genre to it and taste, it is cowboy monster hunt around the year 1880-1900. Rogue-like, boss hunting, EXTREMELY HARD fps extraction shooter. Compared to other games it is really for specific people only AND THAT IS OK. This game has just enough players to keep it running forever without que times not exceeding 3 minutes (during not so busy hours it can prolong to 5 min). As a semi experienced hunt player I love watching Jack play bc he does things differently then I would expect but it works rly well in general. Cool to see how he plays the game
@@svenjaaunes2507 scaring crows, horses, not closing off the door or barricading them, not looting better weapons before extraction, not doing a 360 using only 1 sec of darksight, using syringes and medkit for 1 small health bar when he has regen, etc, but its fine, at least he is promoting our dear game
Pro-tips regarding Knuckle Knife (The Best Melee Tool): - The KK has the best attack speed, stamina coast and draw speed in the game. If you get surprised by grunts, use a quick punch to stun them. Its faster than you may think. - You can kill Bee Swarms with two punches. - When fighting tanky monsters like Hellhounds, Armored and Bosses, alternate between Stabs and Punches for the best damage per second and to keep the monster stun-locked. - It takes 4 headshot punches to kill an Immolator. If you hit body or arm, it can take 5. This is still better than the Dusters though because the KK attack speed means you keep the Immolator stun-locked and kill it nearly as quickly. - Every downside of the Knuckle Knife is remedied by bringing Throwing Axes. (To 1-hit Hellhounds, Hives and Armored)
Knuckle Knife is life (actually death to your foes). No idea why people bother with anything else. Sure heavy knife kills dogs faster, but the stamina cost isnt worth it imo.
@@richeh79 I actually prefer the regular knife but I now almost always bring the knuckle knife just cause it gives so much options and I have a baynet I just bring knuckles.
1:10 There is a solo mode called Soul Survivor, which plays out like a battle royale instead of hunting for a Boss's bounty. When you are a solo in normal Bounty Hunt matches, you can also use the Necromancer trait for the ability to revive yourself, Serpent to grab clues from a distance in Dark Sight, and Magpie to get 10 seconds of bounty Dark Sight Boost instead of 5. Thanks for bringing more attention to Hunt, jackfrags. I've been watching your channel for quite a while and you were one of the biggest influences I had to get the game in the first place. 1,800 hours of rootin' tootin' cowboy shootin' later and no regrets. :)

I started playing hunt showdown after I saw the video of yours "The best game you are not playing". I'm now over 1000 hours. This game is great, it has the best atmosphere and sound design ever. Thank you Jack.
Please more Hunt Jack. I honestly feel like its the best FPS out there, so unique, nothing like it. Awesome to see some solo gameplay too, its at its funnest when you go solo.
Bro jack's spatial awareness skills in every FPS game is legit mind boggling some times. Dude is a pro. That last play in the ship area had my jaw dopped. Mans is soo good.
I love it! Played little else in the last year since coming from 3k hours in Tarkov. The audio is just superb and the gameplay has me hooked. The regular events and changes to the map conditions keep things fresh. I do feel it needs "something" more to keep it fresh though. A few other time and money sinks in round and out of round.
@@lip-filler-looks-rankHard disagree, sir. With updates and events, even if you don't play every week, there's enough added content to keep you coming back. Also, the firefights in this game are way more exhilarating than any other shooting game I've experienced. A lot of the guns are single action, so it makes you take your time with the shots. Maybe some things need to be balanced now, but it's overall fantastic.
For anyone wondering, there is a dedicated solos mode. You start with basically nothing and have to loot stuff and try to extract with the bounty while multiple people try to kill you. It’s VERY hard
It was really nice to hear you saying all the things you're doing and why. I'm always stressing while playing Hunt, so it's really comforting to see that it is possible to play it calmly. Great video!
I like that you play Hunt in a way that's instructional. Hunts learning curve can be steep, but it's mostly map knowledge. Soul Survivor is the single player mode where you find your loadout in game. It's a ton of fun actually, and you know nobody else has a team mate either.

When you're in those buildings with the barred doors and you are defending it/ holding it down, you can close and re-bar the doors for less entry points for your enemy hunters. Hope to see more Hunt Showdown.

I love that every time Jack plays this its almost like his first time all over again :D I bet that's a fun way to keep the game fresh. I'm sitting on nearly 2k hours and I still can't get enough of this game.
I play this game with 2 friends and it's genuinely amazing. Yesterday we killed 2 teams, banished boss, track down the Rotjaw/alligator, threw big dynamite bundle and *all 3 died on the spot!* We knew there was prob 1-2 solo players on the map still - so when they find 3 dead players, 2 bounties, and a half-finished boss, I think eve the best CSI: Bayou team couldn't find out what happened to us...
I mean with the engine upgrade your ps5 will probably end up having much better graphics too. I think it is HDR in particular. Pc has hdr rn and console doesnt, but will in the engine upgrade.
So much Hunt PTSD that watching other people play is stressing me out! At 16:40 where he's bending over taking his arrows from the dead butcher with his back to the broken door and you can hear the immolator aggroing outside, I was just fully expecting a squad to waltz in behind him. But it's Jack so I'm sure he would have handled it if that happened
if you do solo run the most essential traits are: Essential: - Necromancer(solo self-revive as long as you still have the health bar), - Resilience (fully heal when revive) - Magpie (double the boost you receive, like 10s "walhack", bounty pick up for 4 minute heal, stamina, you pair it with conduit trait to get about 18 minutes stamina) Optional: - Doctor (double the heal) - Physician (heal faster) - Then the traits you want to do contents - Bulletgrubber (if you love the bornheim) And yes Fixing/Respect the health bar from 3 50-bar to 1 "50-bar" and 4 "25-bar" even when you play with team ... The more you play you will know the fun as long as the server doesn't go crazy with Crown-king, Nitro or Avtomat But hope Jack will make more Hunt: Showdown contents
Tips from a 6 star sweat: constant crouching will get you killed, close doors when you have control of a compound, you can stop your bleeding and heal at the same time if you use your medkit, knuckle knife is superior to any other small melee weapon (don't bring two melee weapons in your tool slots), heavy/light/heavy/light to kill armored and preserve stamina, stop hitting sound traps, reloading bolt actions or bornhiem without the bullet grubber trait will eject a round from the chamber-- lessening your ammo count.
Probably my favorite shooter atm. If you rock the necromancer trait with resilience it makes playing as a solo a little easier than playing in a team. You can revive yourself as long as you have health chunksremaining. Magpie is an excellent trait as a solo was well, because you get 10 seconds of dark sight boost instead of having 5 seconds. The levering trait is pretty good with the suppressed winfield 1873c is a deadly close range combo. You become a hipfire god as long as you don't panic fire it. same with fanning.
There is a Solo-Mode called Quickplay. You get a free hunter and have to active 4 wellsprings instead of finding clues and kill the boss. After you activated the last wellspring, you will be marked in the map as if you have the bounty in the traditional mode. If you survive it, you can keep the free hunter with all the gear that you collected during the run.
Jack a small tip for the bow taking out the arrows does dmg . So you can pop a few arrows in a boss then run up and take them back to deal more bleed dmg
What the knuckle knife lacks in damage it makes up for in versatility. Its light attack is very high damage to make up for the low heavy damage, mostly to have access to 2 damage types. Knuckle knife light swats bees away in 2 swings and is able to deal with immolators as long as you don’t accidentally heavy attack it
