This Fake Reality Show Went Too Far… 

So when do we tell Gunnar we are all actors and his whole yt career is fake and a realtiy show?

I mean, counterpoint to him going "too far" in that last game; he was following the vibes of the room. They were ALL going too far and giggling and playfully reacting, because as actors they had already consented to the "yes, and" of it all. He saw that the energy of the room was like that, and followed suit. A lot of them went too far, so rather than only him, everyone did bad here lmao

It wasn't really Matt's fault that the game wasn't safe, he did exactly what he was supposed to do they just got him super hyped and sent in a small woman to fight him. He was probably a college football player or something he gives major sport vibes

I couldn’t stop laughing during the edit when Kristin Wiig said she’d take the money. You could tell even in this weird ass show that she was going to make it big one day hahaha

They should have known better than to activate matt’s sports brain and then throw a small woman in with him, especially in a game that is usually made safe but hadn’t been. It’s not even about he’s dangerous he’s just too strong like he’s clearly a sports bro

Gunnar is fun to watch. He's my new para social friend. Every time I watch Gunnar, I sit with a life size blow-up doll on the couch. It's like we're dudes hanging out watching TV together.

Giving Matt the sweet speech at the end was so thoughtful. That's really nice to let him know that though it was scripted, everyone honestly really likes him and was impressed by his big heart

I think she was going to find a way to leave nicely after the fall anyways and so after he gave her that prize they took that as the perfect opportunity to let her go. She probably didn’t want to stay after that fall.

Prefacing this by saying I do not speak for every Japanese/Japanese American person. As an American born Japanese person, I personally don’t see the sumo bit as racist, but more ignorant. I was more bothered by the gong, because the gong is Chinese, not Japanese. The sumo suits were cute though! Everyone looked super goofy!

Gunnar singlehandedly got the show rebooted

I never understood claustrophobia until I was trying to crawl through a tunnel barely big enough for me to fit, I went head first with my arms to my side like an absolute idiot, and halfway through, I couldn’t breathe. The thing about claustrophobia is that, when you feel the panic start to kick in, it’s not like everything else in life where you can just walk away and take a break from it. When you start panicking, you legit have no way to help yourself. When my arms were pinned down and I could breathe and I was panicking, that is genuinely the most terrifying moment of my life and it’s probably my biggest fear. I should note that I don’t think I have claustrophobia. Not even close. I’ve just never understood the fear until I had that experience. I need to legit not be able to move any part of my body for me to feel that extreme fear. I think my limit is when my arms and head can’t move. If I can’t move my arms but my head is open and I can see everything, I’m good. If my arms and head are stuck and cannot move, I really start to panic as I think anybody would lol but it’s really hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it

Remember everyone! First thing to do in a potential neck injury is move the patient as much as possible, roll them over at all costs and make sure you shake them!!! Jk. Do not move someone with a neck injury (unless they face more danger staying ie:car on fire) until medical professionals arrive

Oh no the sumo suits. Night of my graduation, school hosted an event and I did the sumo suit thing, got a concussion and don't remember my high school graduation. True story, had to be told the next day what happened that night, woke up in my bed no memory, surreal. My family and friends make fun of me of it to this day

I remember watching this show as it aired when I was like 23 years old. What’s funny is now knowing more about some of these actors since getting more famous (Kristen Wiig, Ralph Garman and David Hornsby, Lance Krall especially) it’s funny recognizing how they are reacting to things. I used to watch this show when it was still new. It was so funny. There’s an episode where they have to put their hands on a model and it’s just awkward and goofy. There’s another show where it’s like a bachelor type show but the man is a fake millionaire. That’s another funny one. Gunnar should check that one out too.

Although matts had a few problematic takes and actions, I truly believe he was truly a kind good hearted man which was rare at that time. Hell he’s probably better than most guys in this time😂 sans Gunnar of courae
