Hello everyone, Sorry I can’t reply to all the comments. Farmers get a lot of bad press that they don’t look after their animals but the farms that I go to they really are pro active in keeping cows comfortable. This farmer went to the extra effort of helping this cow by putting on a block before I came to recheck her on a scheduled visit. The reason for the video was to highlight that we all work together to help all these animals. Thanks for watching, I hope you support your local farms wherever you are from as they really do the best they can for their herd as I’ve shown in this video 😀

It looks to me like the farmer didn't want to get too close to the corium so they did what they could. They put a block on properly and gave her a wrap then have an expert come in and do the finishing details that take more skill and experience. It's like I'm not a doctor, but I know some first aid. I do what I can while trying to get them to an ER that have people that know how to really fix it.

A very good point there. I'm a farmer myself and isn't very experienced and still learning things myself. I recently lost a duck due to not knowing what the cause was and was very sad and disappointed in myself to discover later that it was something that I could've caught and treated properly if I had known the issue she'd been developing that led to the unfortunate event. It wouldn't be quite fair to be fined for not knowing what the issue was exactly (˘・_・˘). Even with my research I have done to try to help her wasn't enough for me to know what problem had been lurking. All of my other ducks are completely healthy and well and to see my one duck out of all the others had me worried about what was happening and I really tried my best at the time.

I liked the way you went about your work setting this cow on better footing. What I am most disturbed about is the title of this video and making reference to whether the farmer should be fined. You are leaving this farmer open for a visit from some animal welfare group. The farmer did his best before realizing additional assistance was needed. That's all we should expect from the farmer! Please caution yourself in selecting your video titles. If I were this farmer, I am not sure I would continue with your services.

He really isn't, he didn't give out names and addresses or anything, there's a lot of dairy farms in northern Ireland and I very much doubt any "animal welfare" group has the intelligence to find this one, other than by chance. @demonqueen881
@demonqueen881 2 года назад
Don't think that was an injury. It was digital (?) dermatitis. Infection / inflammation, extremely common. Even the best kept cows in the best conditions can't avoid it.
