In this video, I’m showing how to create a controlled feedback loop in Bitwig’s Grid using noise, delay, and auto-gain for stability. After setting up the basics, I add effects like phasers and filters within the loop to shape the sound, experimenting with different settings to find unique tonal textures. With a limiter and auto-gain in place, the feedback stays manageable, letting me explore creative soundscapes without volume spikes. Finally, I demonstrate how to record and save these sounds for further use. Download the Presets: bit.ly/3AbssKy

im not really into resonators in my production needs, but, learning the MEANING how everything works inside, especially using simple and understandable words, this is the main! thanx, man!

I recently forgot to put a limiter after Synth1 which can also get out of hand with feedback and it hit +53db. Ouch!

Thanks, much appreciated. This is a way better result than I was ever able to get. Between the low block size and autoleveling, this thing is great.

Nice! After your last video I did something similar, but I ended up feeding the output into a vocoder where I used a polysynth to create a dynamic and ambient texture that had the stability of the synth but texture and fluidity of the feedback. Also used some randomization techniques to nudge values within the feedback grid to keep things a little unpredictable but also not crazy.

Great vid! Following along recreating the patch. For some reason the pitch of the noise burst I’m getting is much deeper than yours, not sure why that is. Edit: I guess it’s probably a difference in buffer settings between your setup and mine.
@PolarityMusic
@PolarityMusic 2 дня назад
probably. the higher the min buffer size is the lower the min pitch is.

can you try to "teach" that resonate stuff act like a classical vocoder's carrier/modulator stuff?

Why you don't use Ableton ?
@apoplexiamusic
@apoplexiamusic 2 дня назад
Because it doesn’t have the Grid! I just got Live 12 and it’s pretty awesome, but Bitwig is awesome too even though it is lacking in certain areas

i use several DAW's but Bitwig makes me more creative on so many points others simply can't or are to complex to fix something fast , M4L is to complicated and has a very high learning curve versus the Grid ..
@apoplexiamusic
@apoplexiamusic 2 дня назад
@@Italliving this is probably Bitwig’s best sales pitch for Ableton users who want more functionality without having to learn to code in Max/MSP. And sure FL Studio has Patcher which is going for the modular approach, but it’s more complicated to use. I think it’s really inspiring.

@@Itallivingsimilar. I’ve recently fallen for Reaper - it’s vast level of customization and open source-like scripts is really enticing. And def brings loads of functionality Bitwig lacks. BUT, there’s nothing quite like the Grid, the NoteFX, the modulation system etc of Bitwig’s. Couldn’t live without it now!
