@@iabdozz I’m hoping so, I’ve only driven it for 5 mins so far. The cam belt is way overdue and I don’t fancy it snapping and munching the engine. Saving my first proper drive until Friday next week 😃
@@Project40Cars if you take care of this car it will deliver, i have the 1.2 8v 5 door only using good liquimoly oil for 3 years it's my daily work to home car, great gas milage with great air conditioning, waiting for your first drive video ✌
Great video! I think the variators are generally noisy as well, had mine replaced and its definitely better but don't expect a massive difference there on the sound. With such a big engine though in a small car, definitely worth getting sorted whilst you are getting the timing done. Know you mentioned youre taking it to a specialist for the timing, so I'm sure they will do it correctly - but think on these they need that Fiat locking tool to get exactly right. When I took mine in for the timing and variator was told that whoever had done it before hadn't done it correctly so it was quite a bit out. Enough out I think to cause issues with stalls when dropping revs, that I had when I first bought it. (An issue that no garage was able to fix until this was sorted). Also be careful with the bonnet latch & cable, it goes all the way around the engine bay and dash, mine broke internally at one point & was a massive pain of a job to sort out. Other weak points (for me at least) alternator seizing. Had my second one seize on me last winter, you need to keep them ticking! ( I dont as much as I should sometimes admittedly as I work from home) Also the wiper motor arms can be pretty weak. I now try to keep my windscreen pretty clean (find a bit of rainex helps). Went through 3 wiper motors in the first 4 years! 😁
Thanks for this video I'll Need get mine serviced no idea when mine was last done lol I dread to think and my poor mechanic pal will need to do the job lol he will love me not 😂 😂😂
