@@TexasRose50 Thank you, that kid could play classical Beethoven by note & yet play by ear as well. Somehow his high school music teacher got him a gig to play in Dizzy Gillespie's band in Atlantic City & then in Washington D.C., I figured the sky is the limit. Then he started doing meth ... that was devastating, & there was nothing any of us could do to help him. Now he's trimming trees & doing auto repossessions.

Very impressed. Not only are his technical skills great, but it's so nice to see something other than blues or straight rock out of 15 year old. He clearly knows his modes and it looks like he can count well (seemed like there was a change-up without a que, which means counting the whole time). Does he go to music school? I wonder if he can read as well as he plays (not that he needs to). These kids today, all over RU-vid, just put my generation to shame. I have to agree! It has been over 53 years since Jimi's passing but I have not seen anything to date that can measure up to his genius. I have belatedly discovered Jimi Hendrix, as a guitar player myself but the more I delve into his playing, the more fantastic and other-worldly he comes across as a player. Lately, I was immensely impressed w/ the live performance of 'Tax Fee' along w/ other numbers he played in that concert ... one thing is that he never plays anything exactly the same, it's different in a subtle way at times and more pronounced at different times! ... and the guy did not pick up his first electric until he was 15 years of age!
@MountainMetal

He’s good, but there is no way he can be the next Hendrix. At the very least, he would have to reinvent the wheel in some way, do things that nobody has ever done. Mateo Mancuso is a good example of this, although even he will probably never achieve what Hendrix did. This kid is just doing what a million other players have already done. He just happens to be a young kid doing it. No disrespect, he’s got awesome chops… but calling him the next Hendrix just sets him up for failure.

He is very good, especially for that young age. Kid guitar players often get the technique before the good vibrato, but he definitely has that as well. Having said that, this style of music could have been made at any time since the late 60s, so it's not a mind-blowing innovation like Hendrix was. Will be interesting to see what he comes up with in the coming years.

Jimi Hendrix reinvented what could be done with an electric guitar and literally changed music forever. The only other player who can be mentioned in the same category is EVH, as he also changed and influenced how the guitar could be played. Someone down a couple of blocks from here complained that I’m playing too loud!. Should I turn it down or up? Then the whole place erupted and yelled “Turn it up!”. Then Jimi turned it up and started playing “Purple Haze”. The whole place, including me, went wild! Jimi and Led Zep were the 2 best concerts I ever saw! He will make it as a pro, he already is one. The next Jimi is nothing but a pipe dream that probably won't happen in the following 10 lifetimes. Good luck, kid- even Clapton couldn't hang with Hendrix. Most people do not realize just how uniquely innovative Jimi actually was.

In 2016 I saw him play the guitarist in School of Rock on Broadway. On another night, Slash came and jammed with him and the SoR band.

You're right, he just may be the next Hendrix!!!!! This 15-year-old kid, is going to the BIG TIME. I wish him all the best. I was in a rock band when I was 15, I'm 70 now. This kid at 15 makes me look like I was playing on a wind-up plastic guitar.

I want to give this young boy credit. He shows great skill. Let him keep evolving. As far as the Hendrix comment...he ain't there yet. But he is young.

The kid is good. I wish him the best. What stood out to me was the killer Rhythm guitar player. That guy was funky. He destroyed that tune. Props to that guy.

Taz is a fantastic player who will surely make his mark in music history. I believe he should get his electric guitar fixed because I think it shocked him each time he touched the strings by the look on his face. Damn, that must really hurt..!

A number of average guitar guys could play like this with some work,but nobody can ever be Hendrix. With some work anybody else.

I love you talked about Bruce, I played with him back in the day, at Smith's old bar in Atlanta. I was bands called serial groove killers and blood ryane, and I remember one night Bruce came in and was about to have a blood sugar moment, he was diabetic but nobody knew it, anyways he was hangry and the cooks were on break, not there, so me and my drummer went in the kitchen to raid the fridge and make him something quick, and believe it or not, he wanted a ham sandwich just like he sings about, so I made him a friggin stacked one like blimpy and he ate it all, and ever since he would smile so big when he saw me and ramble off some nonsense poetry, and being Youngster I couldn't hang with his intellect but always said anything for my lizard wearing campho-phenique
