Hoppers do work! I've caught trout in a meadow stream in Colorado and smallies in a lake in Maine with them - both with tenkara rods.

Absolutely…that pink version looks silly, but it’s one of my top producers on the surface in lakes and streams.

As always, enjoyed your video Kris. Have you tried the Oros screw on strike indicators? They are extremely light and make Tenkara casting feel more natural in my opinion. Of course we all know what they say about opinions. 😂

@@tenkaraonthetrail FYI …They now make an extra small which is obviously smaller than the small but may fit my needs even better. I just found out about them last week and I ordered them to try out.
