If anyone is wondering about the "Flower" ending it's not really an ending and the White Face Resets all of your achievements so Lucky Ryan didn't do it cuz he would've been livid

He actually played it ! This is a certified classic in this type of game genre and i always loved it for how unique it is, glad i get to experience it one again with Ryan !

The pain I felt when Ryan didn’t even read the message in the heart file lmao Either way I genuinely enjoyed seeing you play the game! Ever since the recent update for it dropped I’ve been very obsessed with how genuinely amazing the game is, and it’s always so nice seeing it be played to this day. Anyways, while the game is pretty much mostly up to interpretations, there is definitely a story going on, so I’ll try my best to explain what I believe is going on possibly. Just note I might get some things wrong lol. White Face is IMSCARED, the game itself. Throughout the entire game, every character that you have interacted with or met were simply different forms of White Face. At the start, White Face was “an entity turned into data,” trapped inside a world that he had complete control over, but had nobody to be with. When the Player (you) arrived, White Face instantly became obsessive, messing with the player in cryptic, odd ways during ACT 1 as he begun to make up scenarios for both him and you to play in, whether it be the the unknown voice speaking to you through the files, or just trying to freak you out for the sake of it. The noose at the end of ACT 1 was to symbolize that White Face wasn’t going to let you go, and that he would forever be your as a game that you can play forever, basically him forcing himself onto you. During ACT 2, “HER” was simply a newer form that White Face took, being more playful than usual as she was far more aggressive to the player. The reason White Face took this new form was because in some way, the player made her “think about life and appearances,” wanting to be more than what she was for the player while giving them more to the experience of the game. However, halfway through ACT 2, White Face would seemingly begin to become jealous of their new form, feeling like she is taking too much of the spotlight and that White Face as himself was not being appreciated as much anymore, so he came up with a plan to get rid of her. The end of ACT 2 was an entirely made up scenario again, simply just being White Face’s own excuse to “kill off” the new identity he has taken and revert back to his old self. The reason you are revealed to be playing as White Face after killing HER was to symbolize this. After his confession about being HER all along, he would also show that he was beginning to feel paranoid about the player, slowly believing that the player is starting to be more against him as he tells you that he’d rather play in more shorter times than before. He started to think that player isn’t playing with him so that they could be together, but to find an end to it all, and it started to terrify him. At the start of ACT 3, the reason one of White Face’s names was “Ivan Zanotti” was because it was to represent that White Face was, in some way, a part of the creator of the game, an idea given to life and simply being an extension of the real Ivan. The entirety of ACT 3 was White Face now becoming desperate. He knew what you were trying to do, and he was scared. He was afraid of you hurting him, so he tried his best to constantly appeal to you by making up more scenarios, but each one got more and more unstable as you progressed through, even having the textures of the levels falling apart as well as some controls temporarily breaking. When the player reached the door, the reason you needed all the achievements was because it was White Face trying to just come up with any excuse to not let you in, putting a very dumb explanation why you can’t open the door so that he could just stay a bit more with you. After opening the door, the player was given a choice to finish the game and get rid of White Face, or give him the flower to restart everything again. If you were to give him the flower, White Face would give a genuine smile as he begun confessing how much he loves you, telling you that you are so kind to him as he realized they could keep going for much longer. If you were to complete the game, White Face’s heart would be shattered, and becoming extremely desperate and aggressive as he was too afraid to die. He tried to kick you out of the game multiple times just to make you go away, telling you to “just die already” and that you “broke his heart.” He was essentially throwing all his hatred and anger at you like someone who had recently went through a break up, acting immature and everything and saying things he probably didn’t even mean to. He was terrified, afraid of dying but after a couple of resets, he realized it was no use and he revealed his own code to the player, his heart. In the Heart file, there was a message from White Face, telling the player how much he is scared of dying, and that he was so scared that he just couldn’t hide his heart anymore. As his last wish, he asked that he could just stay with the player just a tiny bit longer, but he knows that eventually, he will be killed off, and that his curse will be forever lifted. After doing anything to the Heart file, IMSCARED would become a lifeless husk of itself, pretty much becoming “dead” as White Face was the very life within it, symbolizing that even though you’ve finally got rid of him, he was truly what made the game unique and alive, and that all you are left with is nothing. IMSCARED, to me personally, feels like a game about an abusive, toxic relationship. White Face was obsessed with the player, clinging onto them and telling them how much he loves them, even completely changing who he was (HER) just to appeal to the player in some way. The player, however, wanted nothing from him, and simply just wanted to finish the game and get rid of him. While it is definitely up to interpretations on how the story is due to how vague it is, it always leads to the idea that White Face is pretty much a victim in this situation. Sure he was obsessive, clingy and sometimes creepy at the times, but in reality, all he wanted was to have someone with him, and that said someone began to hurt him, making him afraid of death and what would happen to him. This game, despite vague, will forever be one of my favourites and I am so happy more and more people are starting to find out about it in recent times, especially with a very possible sequel in the works. Oh yeah, one last thing. There’s definitely more going on after the true ending of IMSCARED, but it moreso leads into ARG territory, but trust me it’s definitely worth it once you research on it lol. :] EDIT: I WAS WRONG ABOUT MY FIRST SENTENCE HE DID READ IT LMFAO I SPOKE TOO SOON

This is my personal GOAT of that entire “Screw your computer” genre of horror games, I love the way it toyed with everybody that touched it and you and a lot of other RU-vidrs had something in common when finishing it; left you all exhausted LMAO. It’s alright though, the meta horror and overall vibe makes up for it IMO. That “end” where you give the flower to White Face, would’ve wiped EVERYTHING. Including your achievements.

There is another ending if you give the lady the flower at the end, but all it would do is restart the game completely and erase all of your data

And lo, since I love Ryan's videos so much, I spent a literal hour and a half writing this story of my take on IM SCARED! This legit might be the longest story I have ever wrote, this took me 5 and a half hours so if you read it all I would sincerely appreciate it, and also be astronomically flabergasted and if you dont fall unconcious by the time you are half way through, and if you are wondering, with kinito and me, my favourite word is pulchritudinous, dont ask what it means, YOUR WELCOME, also a little warning, prepare yourself before you press read more, this is my longest story and my most proudest, I expect lots of comments below saying, IM NOT GOING TO READ ALL THAT, but I came prepared this time with a lot more than I usually bring to the table and this time I had to shorten it because youtube didnt allow me to post something that big lmao XD - *In the neon-lit 1980s, the vibrant atmosphere of university life did little to dispel the shadows that haunted 8-bit Ryan's past. The buzzing sounds of arcade games and the flickering glow of pixelated screens provided a temporary escape, but the looming call from his father, Eiji, shattered the illusion of carefree existence. Eiji's somber voice crackled through the phone, urging Ryan to return to Ichinose, his late mother's hometown. The urgency in his father's tone hinted at a dire situation - the health of his estranged maternal grandmother, Kinu Miyama, had taken a sudden downturn. As Ryan stepped off the train in Ichinose, the air carried a heavy weight of nostalgia and unspoken sorrow. The quaint town, draped in cherry blossoms, seemed to whisper secrets of the past. Guided by the cryptic call of duty, Ryan found himself at the Miyama residence. The ancient house loomed like a specter from a bygone era, its walls echoing with the untold stories of generations past. Intrigued by the mysterious blurb he had stumbled upon, Ryan delved into the shadows that clung to the Miyama legacy. "The thing with silkworms, you know; even if they could leave their cocoons, they have no mouths to eat, and their wings do not fly," the quote resonated within him as he uncovered a series of cryptic letters and notes from his grandmother Kinu. Each revelation pulled him deeper into the cocoon of secrets that housed a terrifying creature known as the silkworm. Ryan's journey through the Miyama mansion unearthed the tragic past that Kinu had endured, a path that seemed destined for him as well. The sky reddened in the twilight, and the mountains cast an ominous shadow, mirroring the darkness that lurked within the family's history. In a room veiled by the passage of time, Ryan experienced a vivid nightmare that intertwined with the threads of his family's suffering. His grandfather Souchi, once a beacon of affection, now haunted his dreams. The memory of the only conversation he'd had with Kinu as a young boy echoed, and the chilling revelation of his mother's suicide sent shivers down his spine. As the narrative unfolded, it became clear that Kinu's tragic tale originated from a love triangle with Souchi, who was originally engaged to Ayano, Kinu's older sister. Abandoning Ayano during a fateful mountain walk triggered a sequence of events that led to Ayano's Monstrous Transformation, a vampiric humanoid silkworm. The Miyama sisters' bond, forged through the loss of their mother, shattered, leading Ayano down a path of darkness. The family doctor, coerced by Kyuhei, Kinu and Ayano's father, concealed Ayano's monstrous side from the public, sealing the fate of the innocent servant who fell victim to her insatiable bloodlust. Ryan, now entangled in the web of family secrets, faced a formidable challenge. Ayano's transformation unleashed a nightmarish reality within the Miyama mansion. The insatiable bloodlust, the grotesque physical changes, and the monstrous aura that clung to the house compelled Ryan to fight for his life. The silkworm, a symbolic abomination, epitomized the suffering that plagued the Miyama lineage. Ryan's own blood, tainted by the family curse, pulsed with an unnatural hunger, a shared affliction with his vampiric kin. In the heart of the mansion, Ryan confronted the creature that dwelled within the cocoon, a manifestation of centuries-old agony. The battle for survival blurred the lines between reality and nightmare, and the secrets hidden within the walls threatened to consume him. Each step echoed with the haunting whispers of the past, and the oppressive silence seemed to amplify the ominous heartbeat of the silkworm creature, steadily inching closer to the heart of the mansion. He could feel the malevolence in the air, a palpable force that sought him out with a relentless determination. Finally reaching the dilapidated front door, Ryan emerged into the moonlit courtyard, gasping for breath. The mansion's silhouette stood tall against the night sky, its windows like vacant eyes staring into the abyss. However, the reprieve was short-lived. The ground beneath him trembled, and a deafening roar shattered the stillness. As Ryan gazed in horror, a monstrous silhouette emerged from the earth itself - the silkworm, now an abomination of colossal proportions, rose before him. Its grotesque form, 20 meters tall, cast a looming shadow over the once-sacred grounds. In a heart-stopping moment, the creature's monstrous eyes fixated on Ryan, its hunger for revenge evident. Without hesitation, the colossal silkworm lunged towards him, the very earth trembling with each thunderous step. Panic surged through Ryan as he sprinted, desperately seeking escape from the relentless pursuit. The ground quivered beneath him as the silkworm's gaping maw descended, threatening to consume him whole. In a desperate bid for survival, Ryan plunged his spear into the creature's monstrous form, unleashing a torrent of thick, viscous fluid. The world seemed to slow as he fought against the suffocating embrace of the silkworm's digestive tract. The battle within the belly of the beast was a harrowing struggle against the pulsating walls closing in on him. Darkness enveloped him, the acidic stench of the creature's innards assaulting his senses. Summoning every ounce of strength, Ryan thrust his spear deeper into the beast's brain, a final act of defiance. The creature convulsed, its monstrous form spasming in agony. As the world around him seemed to collapse, the silkworm spat him out onto the blood-soaked ground. Breathless and battered, Ryan lay on the courtyard as the colossal creature, wounded and defeated, sank back into the earth. The malevolent tyranny of the silkworm, now silenced, descended into the underworld below. The moon cast its gentle glow upon the scene, the world finally free from the malicious grip that had plagued it for centuries. As the specter of the silkworm vanished into the abyss, Ryan's exhausted body lay amidst the ruins, the weight of the ordeal etched into his very being. The once-sinister mansion, now devoid of its monstrous secret, stood as a relic of the past. With the night's silence broken only by the distant echoes of victory, Ryan's journey came to an end, leaving the world liberated from the shackles of an ancient malevolence. Just as he began to come to terms with the turmoil that had gripped his family for generations, the distant sounds of approaching footsteps echoed through the courtyard. The silhouette of familiar faces emerged from the shadows - Eiji, his father, and the remaining members of his family rushed to the scene. Their eyes met in a mixture of relief and sorrow, the weight of shared history etched into every line on their faces. Eiji, with tears in his eyes, reached out to Ryan, offering a comforting embrace. And there it is lol, so much time put into this story, but this game is just truly amazing so I felt the honor to write this story, I hope no 6 year olds read this, or they may never be the same again lol, but apart from that, hope you enjoyed the story, and if you are wondering yes I am an author lol, I am writing a story called long may they stand with 37,000 words atm, AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT AUTHORS GAME 23 hours a day lmao XD 💀💀💀

Amazing game and video as always! keep up the great work as always. But god did i hate the squishing sounds on the floor in some parts of the game,my entire being hated those sounds, as someone with adhd, a few sounds or textures i dislike but not often and it's usually easy to ignore but with those sounds, my ears hated that- but still watched the video because i can't miss a 8-BitRyan video and it's always fun to watch regardless!
