There is no other explanation for this other than this woman wanted out of her marriage but knew she'd get nothing in the divorce so she decided to try to win $500,000 on TV instead. WILD.
She didn't cheat she didn't like her husband as much but I didn't finish im at the part when she answered she did not want to be with frank 1 Edit: im stupid for not watching the rest I thought that was the last one your right
Props to Frank for apparently coming out of this better (apparently people found his Facebook and he's remarried with kids) a lot of people would probably of not been able to recover let alone come out better
@@Groggle7141 sorry but i don't think that's appropriate? This a real person with a private life, surely stalking them and posting their information is a little much?
The only information I could find about this said that the couple was still together. I don't want to stalk his personal life, but are you sure that was his real Facebook? Maybe the stuff I saw was old, idk.
One of the unaired episodes actually had a participant win the $500,000 prize after answering yes to: “Do you believe your father, as an adult, has ever had sexual relations with a minor?”
LMFAO honestly I feel that too. It’s clear she isn’t into him because she wanted to do this. Like she’s all “I want to get stuff off my chest” so you know. She probs wanted a divorce.
I feel sorry for both of them equally. Frank for finding out in a very embarrassing, public way, and the host for having to be the one to do it to him.
@@picklesthewise Oh I thought you said you were gonna feel bad for the wife. I honestly dont have sympathy for her only being honest with hin for money.
Me: *Preparing to scream in the comments at and this video that polygraph tests have an issue of being super unreliable, if you're naturally anxious you will fail it, if you're calm, and collected, you can pass it every time* The reality: "YEAH I'M AN AWFUL WIFE! I SLEPT WITH EVERYONE, I'LL DITCH MY HUSBAND" Like fucking hell she could've lied several times, and i just realize this is all her fault. She probably had the power to say "can we not do this question for the show?"
@@OddJaguar15 I think she jumped on the opportunity to humiliate her husband for money. Not a case of "i'm so dumb I let this show fuck up my relationship" she knew exactly what she was doing.
"I'm not in it for the money" She says as she answers questions on live TV that are destroying her husband. She says as the host basically says "please stop, we've hurt the man enough" as she continues to go through the questions seeming not fazed by the fact she just broke her husband's heart 5 times over.
@@LM11116 It would have been true though if that were the case. The polygraph test already happened and that is why the host is constantly saying are you sure with every question cause he knows she already knows the question. It's just that a person's answer might change with and audience and 5 important people in their lives sitting not that far away from them.
@@kyoxtohru112 well she doesn't know what the polygraph said until she's onstage. my point is that maybe when she took the test she said she was a good person and hadn't been asked those questions yet so when she was onstage she thought that maybe the test had called that true. when things like cheating and stealing aren't at the front of your brain, a question like that will lead you to a lot of uncertainty and unsureness, which the test will often read as lying. basically, she responded yes during the test, the test said she was lying for whatever reason, but onstage she thought it would say she was telling the truth.
@@LM11116 Okay reading it over again and then reading the rules I see where you are coming from. How if it was at the beginning she might not think too hard about it and most people are nervous with that type of question. My first statement was said without looking at the rules so I will say my bad on that, but having read the rules any answer she said, Yes or No, would have painted her in an even worse light at least Yes and False makes her at least look like she has some consciences as her heart agrees with her on that. Hopefully, it wasn't initially a No. Now how I was trying to agree with the OP was the fact that knowing they would ask very personal questions the cheating portion of her life would at least be in the back of her mind coming in to take the test anyway. It would be like going to take a test that you can't practice for and all you know is the subject and that being her life. Though I think she knew it would come up false after hearing all that. I want to make that clear. Edit: having reread my comment I still see it's not clear. First: I agree with OP in that she is knowing that all this past stuff could be dragged up as they want to make hard questions. Second: is that at the time of questioning she could have thought "well I'm not a killer" and said yes Third: I guess my true argument is that if someone is taking a test on telling the truth they tend to try and think about what question might be asked, ex: cheating. Forth: only time she wouldn't look like a bad person is in one scenario: Stage Answer[SA]: NO, Poly Answer[PA]: NO and Polygraph[P]: true. The worst one is SA: NO, PA: Yes, P: false
*Conspiracy Theory:* her husband funded the entire show and wrote all of the questions and this was an elaborate sting operation, the cameras are there to give him leverage in the divorce settlement.
My theory is that she wanted to end their marriage but she didn't know how to...that's why she kept going and she said she needed to get things off of her chest. She knew what she was asked and knew that it would jeopardize the marriage...she wanted to win the money because after the divorce she needs a lil sum to fall back on
So I thought of your video about "Moment of Truth" after Cody and Kelsey just reacted to the same episode. And when I posted this in the comments I was surprised at how many people didn't know: Like other reality shows, there are several foreign versions of this game show And in 2012 a Peruvian woman appeared on the show "The Value of Truth" and admitted accepting money for sex. She was later murdered by her boyfriend who was on the show with her as part of her friends/family. Before that in 2007 on the Columbian game show "Nothing But the Truth" was canceled after a contestant won $25,000 for admitting she hired someone to kill her husband. So ruining a marriage and crushing a man's spirit in front of a live studio audience was one of their lesser crimes.
“Frank, are you unhappy?” “Sometimes.” She looked utterly shocked by that. Like she isn’t a gold digging, stealing, manipulative, lying, cheating attention seeker. You’re lucky he only said sometimes.
I saw that episode on RU-vid years ago and all I could say was "Oh God." If you watch the full episode you can hear her dad say at one point in the video, "I can't believe you're my daughter."
Lauren: admits to stealing from her job, cheats on her husband, is a horrible person Audience: YEAH! LET'S FUCKING GO! Me: What the fuck is wrong with you?
My stepmom Sophia once attempted to get on this show. She nearly made it on but quit when testing the questions (the part that happens before the show) and was asked if “she loved her real kids more than her step kids (me and my sister)”. Me and my sister were supposed to be in the audience…..
Melody Muniz Frank seems to be genuinely upset and like even after the first few questions he laughs it off and it just makes me sad for him. Justice for Frank
Maybe during the polygraph test, she answered yes but the polygraph recorded that she was lying. So she didn't know what the "truth" was according to the polygraph and just repeated what she said.
When I originally watched this video, I was thinking that the ex was an insane person for wanting to be on the show to ask those questions....now I wonder if he knew what she was like (presumably why they broke up) and wanted to warn the other Frank about it in a very roundabout way. Idk though.
Ironically, after learning more about the story behind these two, it seems that she was able to answer the question about staying in touch with old boyfriends truthfully, not because she hadn’t done it, but because Frank probably already knew about it.
The show cause pain and suffering if humiliation he would not have been subject to in a standard divorce. I say divorce her and sue the show. With any luck the show will be taken off the air or go bankrupt from the lawsuit. What they did was EVIL. Not something that normal people would care to watch.
I mean they are ashamed XD My younger sister and I started crying just looking at the straight scowl her mom is wearing and the disgust of her father's face. While the host is talking the dad is even saying "I can't believe you did this" or "I can't believe you went this far." Like I felt crazy bad
I find it cute that you thought that these questions were random and that they did not have inside information from family and friends. Like they have to have to, to ask such specific questions.
@@SubsWithnoDadChallenge yeah, the human condition for control. I don’t know what I’m on about but basically the audience is basically told when to cheer.
No kidding! He is handsome as hell. If he had a personality to match then he’s a catch. I don’t think she could find better. That other Frank wasn’t even cute.
@Gold Rose A huge inexcusable waste, I really feel bad for Frank, he was really dying internally when the question about her avoiding to have sex with him came up, like you could that from that point, things were about to go down like a helicopter crash
She didn't say she didn't love him. You can't help it if your ex is the one person you love the most, but you know that relationship isn't going to work. Are you just never going to marry some one else, who you may also love very much?
@@Fe-go2jw i think you should never give any body any advice in your life because there is a 99.99% chance of it ruining someone's life. I never thought i would say that to somebody but you just stood out.
@JP Duffy the shitty part is alot of women think this way. Toxic femininity! Use a man because it's cheaper and she feels secure. But that's not his job and should not be lied to just because she does not want to be independent!
First I'm hearing about this show but my question is how do they get the info for all these questions? Like do they ask friends/family for them and then throw in their own spice? I'm curious
What a perfect ending - Frank gets a clean divorce with footage to prove her infidelity - She gets no money and loses Franks money - And she gets to live with all of this with no reward because she knows in her heart that she is trash
A N in the US, divorce and marriage laws are immensely biased towards women and they almost always win and the men lose everything. Because he has evidence of her admitting what she has done, he likely has a better chance at not having half of his wealth stolen by her.
Lauren: Steals money from work Lauren: Believes she should be married with other Frank Lauren: Taken off her ring to appear single Lauren: Had sexual relationships with other men Also Lauren: "I am a good person"
Given that polygraphs are basically just a step above psychics I'd be so pissed if I got a question like "have you ever cheated on your wife?", answered no and got told I was lying. Not only did I lose a bunch of money but now my marriage is fucked up and millions of people think I'm a scumbag and I have basically nothing I can do to prove that I didn't cheat
To play devil’s advocate, I think they basically knew she had cheated on Frank, and were just happy she wasn’t lying (though given that it’s 2000’s reality TV, it’s really a toss-up)
I think they were applauding how ballsy it is to admit to something like that in front of an audience and on national television. They weren't applauding the answer so much as applauding her honesty.
There was one episode I remember. The last question for this episode, asked the contestant if she believed her father had sex with a minor. Her father, by the way, WAS SITTING ON THE COUCH, WATCHING HER. AND SHE SAID YES. AND SHE WON.
@@kaykay2915 Well the thing was she believed he had, not knew, witnessed or what have you. And the poly could have easily been wrong, polygraphs are awfully inaccurate. But either way you can't arrest someone on what someone believes you did.
Bruh I thought u said mirror and I’m like wtf who cares I mean it’s weird but not illegal what’s the big deal it’s just a mirror and then I reread it and I’m like oh shit haha
Haha, what a wild question. Selling out your dear old dad for big money. These questions seem too relevant to be mere coincidence. Are they just asked a lot of questions and they select the worst ones? I mean, at least it could be true that she believes he diddled a minor. It doesn't ask if it's true. Just asks if she believes it.
Sorry if this was already addressed.... but you do realize that this show was cancelled after someone on a foreign version got caught sort of admitting to a murder conspiracy?
Just gonna say that feeling like you have to lie to “get out” of sex is just bad communication. In a healthy relationship both people should create an environment where you can just be honest about that 🤷🏻♀️
My ex husband told me he wanted to separate in front of his therapist, a stranger to me. I didn’t think anything could’ve been more humiliating than that. Wow this was vile... poor Frank.
She really believed she's a good person after hurting her husband like that on TV for money. If she really wanted to get things out of her chest she should have done it at home. She wanted the money.
The thing is she didnt really think she was a good person....thats why she failed that question on the Polly and why when she said she did, the voice said that was false
“Fun” Facts 1) There is a Board game version of this with questions just as personal. 2) Only one person won the $500,000 and the last question was whether or not she believed her father was a pedophile.
i got one better for you: on the serbian edition of the show Trenutak istine there was a woman who was a victim of sexual abuse by her father and the question she got asked was "did you ever achieve an orgasm when your father abused you" and she said yes. It's a really heavy topic to discuss but she (the contestant) said she wanted to help people who have had or are having similar experiences, but still damn, really fucked up
Not to over-analize it, but people are missing the point of the last answer: the polygraph doesn't have the absolute true objective answer and tells you it, like some kind of god. The polygraph just tells if you're lying or not. So the point is that she actually thinks she's a bad person (because well, she is) but she SAYS she thinks she's good, and the polygraph is calling her out on it. It's not that she thinks she's a good person and the polygraph is saying "no, you're not".
Lauren: Admits to previously been terminated from employment due to theft of the establishment's profits. Also Lauren: Has the dimple-faced nerve to claim that "the money doesn't matter to me".
Theory: She wanted to get back with the other Frank & she knew a divorce would cost lot of money so why not tell your husband all your secrets over national television so that you make enough money to pay for the divorce and maybe have some left over & also get what you want out?
ryeinc that’s valid I suppose. I wonder if there’s an age gap with him and her mother or if she meant like a pedo. I’m going to have to look that episode up now
Yami Yugi sounds like it to me to but never know without knowing the story behind it. He could’ve been 17 and girl 16 in some states. 18 and girl 17 in some states or even 19 and girl 18 in some states like Alabama. Used to be a different world back then when men and women used to marry when a man was early 20s and a girl 15-18 too. Just didn’t want to call the man a pedo without knowing
Frank the Husband was so traumatized, he decided to run for Senator. He apparently got a haircut and jacked af. He also fought some Ninja Cyborg or some shit idk
but like, can we talk about how nice this host is? he tried almost as hard as he could to stop her from continuing to answer the questions. he basically said “THIS IS A BAD IDEA. DO NOT DO THIS!” i feel just so awful for him. i think he probably still thinks about that day.
Pfft, he probably doesn't give two shits, he's just building the tension and raising the stakes. He's there for the paycheck, not to be a couples' therapist.
Well, also the more she answers, the more money she might walk away with, and she was going all the way. It's his job to build tension too. Not saying he didn't feel bad for them, but in my opinion, there were worse episodes than this one.
@@lizzyblitz07 The other episodes? It's been years since I watched, so I couldn't give you specific ones, but there were multiple instances of cheating, theft (and other illegal stuff like alleged child abuse), breaking of family's/spouses trust, etc. If they're still on youtube, you can watch and see. In my opinion, this one didn't comparatively deserve the host's warning.
Hell yea man. I got duped by the same type of bitch. I got custody of my son as well due to her mental stability and her drug addiction. Im thankful everyday that she is a drug addict, because that is the only way the man gets his kids.
The funny thing is, after researching this episode, and the show as a whole, that the (ex)husband knew about the cheating and Lauren having feelings for the ex-boyfriend. They both did the show for the money and they were not expecting the "Are you a good person?" question. They both knew what she did before the show came on.
Frances Gardner I thought you learn from a young age not to judge a book by its cover. He seems like a decent guy, but let’s not pretend we actually know what he’s like. What we do know is that that woman is terrible and I’m glad she didn’t win a single penny
Imagine someone with anxiety going on this show and failing at the first question just because they got anxious when answering the questions, spiking their heart rate. Imagine you miss out on a bunch of money when you didn’t even lie. Worse if it was a question that then insinuates you did something really bad when in reality you didn’t.
I don’t get why she acts so distressed before answering some of the questions. Didn’t she already take the polygraph test? So she should already know all the questions right?
That part was confusing me too.. Like, by the time they go onstage they already know what the questions will be.. Why go on the show at all if you weren't prepared to be honest?
They ask a lot of questions that don’t make it in, she doesn’t know which ones they are until they ask. She’d probably remember the really big questions like the cheating one but once she was there in front of her family and an audience she started freaking out because you can’t prepare for that
Emmitt Nervend I think you are right! That’s why she looked surprised when she found out she isn’t really a good person 🥴 I just didn’t think of that before lol
I’ve watched this episode probably 5 times and I’ve never caught that the ex boyfriend is ALSO named Frank 🤣 My grandfather had three wives during his time on earth. His first was named Dorothy, and unfortunately she passed away from cancer while pregnant with their first child. Baby didn’t make it either. His second wife’s name was Doris. She passed from the same type of cancer two months after giving birth to their first child. His third wife was named Dorothy, he called her Dot/Dotty. They had one child together, my father, and raised Doris’ baby (my aunt) together. She outlived him by nearly ten years. I’ve always wondered if my grandfather just had something for that name or if it really was just SO common of a name that he couldn’t find a different name to marry 😂
