Totally agree! I play some Dead Man's Hand Warrior and found this match up one time. I just lost hopelessly. Learned more about this match up in ten mins than I would have in playing myself for hours.

warrior is favored to win by fatigue with coldlights so you need to smorc harder as kingsbane rogue because it puts them under too much pressure

Actually I almost did it today with the old quest warrior.He won by 1 turn and 1 life.

Cody I’ve beaten three kingsbane rogues with dmh warrior by using all my armor gain, dmh cold lights and bring it on, and then spamming cold lights, once the rogue only has kingsbanes left.

Frankly Deadmans will probably die completely unless they get some card draw replacement or a way to put more cards in-deck without diluting the quality. I could deff see an aggro pirate rogue though

It's very possible I don't understand the matchup well enough but I threw together a Kingsbane deck last night that is probably just a few cards off of the netdeck (Do people run both of the attack buffing 4-drops? It seems wrong but feels so good at the same time) just to have some standard laddering deck that wasn't complete torture and found this matchup really simple. They go infinite, I don't. I have massive burst, they don't until they get to the end of the decks. Ergo I made a giant weapon and hit them in the face with it over and over, then they died. It's quite possible I just got lucky or had a weak opponent but while the warrior side does sound challenging I'm not convinced the rogue has to do too much thinking at all. A pyroblast every turn gets the job done pretty quick.

Naga pirate 5/4? It's personal choice but most run 2 of them. In terms of the matchup if the other player is skilled enough they'll look to see if they have opportunities in which they can mill your more important cards (buffs, card draw, the weapon itself etc.) the name of the game is basically if they get you to late game they'll win with Coldlight x2, Bring it On, and Dead Mans. How to survive until that point seems v v difficult.

Aiz what is there to memorize wtf? He knows he forces him to draw 7 cards past fatigue. 2+3+4+5+6+7=27 so hard to figure out must have memorized it...

drumzeppelin i knew it was some simple formula just couldnt remember it. Been so facking long since math class lol. But is there an easy formula for if say you are starting on 4 fatigue and draw 5 cards? Actually scratch that i realized all youd need to do is 5*6/2 + 3*5. Since each point in the chain will do 3 more damage than if you started at 1. Guess i answered my own question lol.

mmorkinism the one armor matters a bit, but consider he's playing fatigue warrior (and thus has no real way to pressure the opponent with the board) and that the rogue has almost 10 lifesteal, the only damage worth is fatigue. Though he should have hit his face with harrison to remove the 1 armor. Interesting note, someone in the comments said it avoided pressuring the rogue into needing to hit his face, which is true. The rogue should have attacked face more often.

You need to destroy the weapon over and over so he can't just hit you to death. You would take too much damage while setting up your mill if you don't keep him from hitting you in the process.

i have over 2000 wins with mill rogue and i'm glad to see it go. wild feels like it's all just giants decks and mill rogues. i had a lot of fun with the deck, but i'm not one of those people where it's all i play that are completely ignorant to how unhealthy these styles of decks can be for the game. especially every expansion that they get support and become stronger.

Coldlight has long been one of my favourite cards in the game. You have to build your deck in an interesting way to take advantage of its symmetrical effect.

Shield Slam is worthless in the matchup (no decklist so I don't know if the deck has 1 or 2, but if it's 2 then that would get rid of 1 in his deck because of dead man's hand) and it kills the rogue's Doomerang, which makes it harder for him to keep the weapon active.

He had spare mana this turn and is just preparing his hand and deck for the milling part at the end. He does not need the shield slams because Kingsbane Rogue is so thread light, so why not play it while you can? Maybe he does not have the mana to play it later and has to take an extra turn before playing Dead Man's Hand.

@Derpaboop Derp: Both copies of Deadly Poison had been played already. @gimmethegepgun: Firebat played one copy of Shield Slam and destroyed the other copy in his hand. No more copies in his deck.

@Robin Winkels: he DMH'd one Shield Slam into his deck. Without a decklist I don't know whether he ran 1 or 2. If it's 2 then there was 1 left in his deck at the time. Also there might have been another Whirlwind in his deck, which is another useless card. RIP decklists :(

Made 1 mechanical mistake, Firebat did too in killing the Jones without attacking. The guy did a pretty good job of playing around Firebat's coldlight mill throughout the game.

Firebat didn't miss that dmg. Do you know Lifesteal, or sarcasm? For heaven's sake, it indeed amazes me how bad some people are in this game... // The positioning mistake was serious for a guy in top 300. But... again, he didn't reach top 300 being bad.
