This Game Was Secretly A Huge Success 

5:21 - Slight clarification here: the vacation sinxtinx took was for a month after launch, not permanent. The timing was awkward from a player's perspective, but it was honestly even moreso for him as he was supposed to have this vacation months beforehand Sweden's labor laws are excellent, and a month's worth of vacation time is mandatory. While the timing isn't set in stone, it's customary to use it in July, and this is exactly what the majority of the team did. In contrast, sinxtanx delayed his vacation in its entirety to continue working on the game to the best of his ability and damn near burned out in doing so The issues that were actually in place for rollback on launch were found out pretty quickly by certain community members (wink), and actually applying them was fairly straightforward. It would've been incredibly easy to see this problem in advance if the team was allowed to have beta testers before launch but OH WELL

I bought this game the week it came out and I’ve supported it for its whole run, it’s even been the most talked about game on my channel. What can I say, I generally love the game, despite its flaws it’s been the most fun I’ve had with a platform fighter outside of Smash (granted I didn’t get a chance to try MultiVersus) and I felt it didn’t get enough credit for the things it did right. If the rumors of a sequel are true, I’m looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.

I think the sequel, if they market it, give ludosity a bigger budget to make a true "smash like" game, and give players more content to enjoy outside of just playing NASB i think we could see a game that truly taps into smash's market. The gameplay was never the issue it was pretty much everything else

Great stuff! Nice commentary and presentation, makes sense! I got the game digitally on switch, super hyped that night to play as soon as possible with friends! There was some sort of delay, we stayed up for a few hours...but playing it, absolute dream come true, one of my favorite games of all time and I still love playing and going for clips or just being goofy with friends and strangers in it! I'm super glad I could and can still make content for it sharing my love, passion, and fun times without really worrying that someone is going to try and take it down like I've seen Nintendo go after some buddies for making content related to Smash... I still see new players take advantage of sales and give the game a try too, but I do wish there was more of a singleplayer for them to enjoy! I'm super hyped for any potential sequels, and really reaaally hope Nick gave/gives devs more freedom, compensation, and time... I really wouldn't want them to be rushed again! If we get one this year, I'll be a bit concerned about that, but, I dunno, I also remember Smash Melee (still a huge favorite for me and many whether you play competitively or just like singleplayer) also released just about 2 years after Smash 64! So hopefully the devs are happy with their work and I trust them to do another fantastic job! And hopefully with voices and items and more, more people stick around longer too and we get more super hype tourneys, more DLC, and another sequel down the road! Anyway! Great job again, and wow, nice soundtrack too! Deltarune, Undertale, Ace Attorney, and even Marvel vs Capcom, I love all that stuff so much along with Nick Brawl, ha!

Nasb is still by far the most fun I've ever had while playing or watching a fighting game

for the record my tweet saying it was "shit hot dookie ass" was intentionally over the top, as most of my tweets are lol. i actually thought it was interesting gameplay wise but visually a mess

I agree that NASB's real target audience is kids/casuals, and I dunno how people can forget that when literally Smash is the same way. It's why I hope the sequel has more casual modes/features, while also keeping the fast and smooth gameplay that felt great from the first game.

I'm neither a child nor a parent and I still enjoy this game😅

I know plenty of people that bought it on multiple platforms too. No crossplay might have helped sales a little 💀

I rented the game from my school's library, and all I can say is that it's a really fun game, just flawed a bit! If there's any potential sequels, I'd buy it day one.

this game was so fun during the michelangelo patch. i know it was because of YOU fixing the game for the developers, but it was insanely fun regardless of why. i played it 6-10 hours every day and i'd still play it today if it was identical to how it was back then. i feel bad for anyone who missed the short period of time when this game was popping. most fun i've had playing and spending $50 on a game that was blatantly a cash grab

This game is so much better than multiverses it's not even close

The first NASB is the Karnov's Revenge of platform fighters. It's a broken, cheesy mess but it's a lot of fun and people will remember it fondly. Hopefully NASB 2 delivers with this promised single player and casual content and also has enough time to get the game balance right. The first game was really fun, the second game can be great.

Hype doesn't matter to me I found NASB lightyears more fun to play than Smash. Since it's also cartoons, it made me go and binge a couple of my Nick toon favorites.

Am late, But playing Nasb 245 hours or more on my switch its safe to say nasb is one of my favourite games of all time. The dlc Of the game was Great and if this games gets a sequel i hope the improve the problems with the first game.

All the characters play the same, there was no voice acting on launch, the graphics are so mediocre it could honestly be ported to ps2 or 3ds, And it only has 3 modes 7/10 game

Please stop comparing NASB to Smash. The developers of NASB hate that.
