I’d honestly like to see a Cosmo & Wanda co-op character like Ice Climbers in Smash.

The problem of the first game was that it tried way to hard to appeal to the competitive scene and not the casual base. You need single-player and casual options to make a successful fighting game now.

I bet all my life savings that LS Mark is going to main Timmy Turner when the game comes out.

I feel like it failed because it was hyped way too much, but now that we know what it really is plus the new content, I feel like this one could really work!

Something I loved about nick all-star is that the devs listened to the fans, they added Jimmy's dad added voice acting, etc

If they include characters from Nickelodeon movies in this game, then Rango would be a perfect choice

its insane how dirty this game was done especially by nick, they abandoned the game wayyy faster than nintendo could dream of LMAO but im glad nick realized the absolute goldmine on their hands and give them an actual budget to let them cook

Timmy was so frequent in the past Nicktoons, so seeing him absent in recent entries is kind of sad .

I need Timmy in too, it feels weird without a single lick of FairlyOddparents representation.

I know everyone's clamouring for Timmy Turner, and justifiably so, but I also really just wanna see some more recent and under appreciated Nicktoons get some representation in this game! In particular, I wanna see Miko from Glitch Techs get in, as that show's premise makes it absolutely perfect for a crossover game like this and they could do some crazy stuff with the different gadgets and power-ups in there!

I know Timmy SHOULD be our fairly odd rep since hes the main character but honestly I would love to see Vicky as a fighter Also if Timmy uses his fairies, I pray that we get Anti-Cosmo and Wanda as costumes

If I were a dev on this game and had to explain why Timmy Turner isn't in the game I would say - "he wouldn't be able to do pretty much anything because he can't use magic. Da Rules specifically states you can't use magic to win a competition".

Fairly Odd Parents have so many good picks for this game. Hell, it would be amazing to have Timmy and His Dad in this game, seeing them fight Jimmy and Hugh would be priceless.

The real dilemma here is if Timmy will look like a naked mole rat with a pink hat

There's actually a platform fighter esque game before Smash called the Outfoxies, where you play as 1 of 7 assassins using weapons to kill the others

I really want some more obscure characters in here, not just the big ones, I want El Tigre and Snap from Chalk Zone

Honestly Fairly Oddparents deserves a rep in this game, I’d argue it’s one of the most popular Nicktoons up there with SpongeBob, Avatar, Rugrats, and Loud House who all have representation in this game, honestly though besides Timmy possibly sitting this one out again, this game looks great and like a big step up from the first one, I’m most excited to see what bosses they choose for story mode

They really need a proper Rugrats rep. Reptar was only chosen for the sole fact that the main characters are babies, but they could've added Stu Pickles and have the babies be part of his moveset, since the entire show is about the babies causing mayhem around the adults.

Other reason why the first game didn’t do as well was because besides voice acting it also was only geared towards the competitive scene and didn’t have anything that smash had for the casual experience (stage hazards, final smashes, items even though they added those later) so if this game starts out with all of that and more I think it will have a way bigger chance to be more popular.

Seeing Mark sponsored by Dislyte is so bloody funny. Even if he just played it a bit for the money, as someone who used to play that game every day it's a treat. I really loved that game.

I'm so excited for this game. I love the devs and the fanbase around it too. I hope Timmy and other characters like Mr. Blik, Snap and the Angry Beavers will come soon.

As someone whos been in the NASB community ever since 2021, this game is absolutely a step up from the first. We've all been so excited, and I'm glad to see youtubers share the hype too!!! Id be cool with Timmy, but my most wanted is the Catscratch cats as a trio

The meter is for multiple purposes and the main thing exciting to me as a fighting game player. It’s for the final smash equivalent, a street fighter ex moves equivalent (maybe, they weren’t too clear on this) and for the Slime Cancel (presumably something similar to Roman Cancels from Guilty Gear). Wouldn’t expect a platform fighter to have that sorta thing but sounds cool

I'm just glad Ludosity is getting more attention. Their original stuff is fantastic but often gets overlooked.

To be fair, the first Super Smash Bros. game also had a small budget and wasn't amazing. Than Melee came along. So let's give this sequel a chance.

One of my only complaints with the original Nick all stars brawl (and this is a very nitpicky complaint) is that it feels like the devs tried to make every single attack a reference in some way, like sure a reference every now and then is perfectly fine but sometimes it felt like an attack had a reference forced in just for fanfare. I hope this is kinda fixed in NASB2 but I doubt it, still hopeful for the game tho.

I always thought it was odd that Timmy got left out considering how massive FOP was at its’ peak.

They better have Tito from Rocket Power read tips to us on the loading screen and how the ancient Hawaiians once wave dash across the oceans

main my problem was that every character was pretty much the same im so glad they're addressing this for the sequel, I'm super excited for it!

To be honest, I don't see why people were hating on the first game so much. I mean, they weren't trying to make the next smash bros, its just trying to be fun, tiny platform fighter, which it succeeds vey well to do in my opinion. I remember when the first game came out I grinded it so bad that I got the little golden badge on each charecter from the arcade mode, and I thought it was quite fun for what it was. Im glad that the new game looks really good and im really glad it has more content, especially with the new stages, supers, and campain mode.

Even if this game eventually falls off, I hope we can get Rango in the game the same way we got Hugh Neutron in the first one.

I hope they remember to pitch up the voice lines for Ren and Stimpy this time. I know that in the show Billy West's voice for Ren was the only one sped up and not Stimpy, but it would help hide the age of his voice a little bit if they did it for both

So weird how the Angry Beavers have yet to appear either. Aside from Doug (who's owned by Disney now), it's the only other popular Nicktoon from the 90s that's yet to make any appearances in the recent Nick games. It seems as if the show got blacklisted by Nick since the Bye Bye Beavers cancellation.

I know memes help sell the games, but I really hope to isn’t too reliant on them. I thought it was kinda odd that the memes of some series got in over the main characters. Whatever ends up happening, I’m excited. I liked the first game a lot!

If I’ve learned anything about internet culture it’s this: everyone thinks they’re the main character until the trend dies and they parrot whatever someone else says.

I remember hearing some talk a while back that after Planet Sheen failed, they were thinking about going back to Jimmy Neutron. That was a long time ago, so I'm sure it's not happening, but being that he was my favorite Nicktoon growing up I'd love to see him make a return.

This kind of makes me think of my own concept for a platform fighter. If I ever made one, I would never expect or want it to compete Smash. I’d rather it just exist alongside it.

Mark I’m really glad you discussed this. It’s been so annoying going to Twitter and just seeing people complain about how this should have been an update rather than a sequel. I’ve also hated how from the beginning people were complaining about how the game won’t and isn’t as good as smash bros. Of course it wouldn’t be. Smash has been around for over 20 years and have has evolved over time to be what it is now. That and the budget they were givin yeah of course Nick couldn’t too that but that doesn’t mean the game is bad. I really enjoyed All Star Brawl and I can’t wait for the sequel and I really hope they can find a way to include Timmy in the game! I’d also really want Nick to try to being back the Nicktoons Unite series with a brand new game similar to Lego Dimensions just without the toys to life gimmick and with a great budget but only we the fans can possibly make that happen. #JUSTICE4TIMMY

This is super wishful thinking but it would be neat to have a Monster High G3 character in the roster! They have pretty cool picks of maybe the classic 3: Frankie has tons of gadgets and electricity powers, Clawdeen is super nimble and got strength, Draculaura could do goofy spell attacks and transform into a bat!

I think what also hurt All Stars Brawl is WB Multiverse. It felt like once that beta came out, people floked to that game

I think it would be cool if they gave timmy a mechanic where he can change which fsiry he has out. So maybe wanda gives timmy moves that are fast consistent but weak while cosmo gives timmy moves that are slow, hard hitting, and maybe with a random side effect due to cosmo making the wishes

Also to mention this, Timmy has been in recent Nickelodeon games. There was a baseball game on mobile not to long ago that had Timmy in it so I feel like they are just being lazy to get the rights to Timmy.

Timmy has always legit been my favorite Nickelodeon character, if not Zim. If Zim wasn't in a nick game, I immideately went for him. They really gotta put him in man, he's vital to nickelodeons history imo

If they put timmy in the game they NEED to put garfeldi in as a taunt or implement him into a move

I've gotten to talk to some of the devs, and they are some great people who really care about the fans and especially the game, sticking with the game long after it dropped off. I feel that Nick deciding not to give the team the budget they need is what led to it's fall. Now Nick finally seems to see that they should get the time and money they deserve.

I think a big element of the hype for the first game that wasn't mentioned here was that it released around the same time Nintendo was getting extremely negative press for how they've treated the competitive Smash community. NASB was kind of memed into being a protest/replacement to Nintendo's iron grip on its consumers, and when Smash fans predictably didn't mass migrate, it became easy to mock.

Let's be real. The hype for this game was through the roof all across the board, and then the news that there would be no voice acting came out, and that hype came back down to floor level...

To be fair to the ninja turtles, all 4 turtles not being there from day 1 was already a crime

I'd love to see Jorgen Von Strangle or The Crimson Chin as a second representative for The Fairly Oddparents.

Also the budget Nickelodeon gave the team for the original was so small they couldnt give the game the proper polish youd expect. Really hoping they allowed the devs the time and money to really let the sequel shine!

I'm happy you mentioned it because I'm very tired of hearing people constantly act like Timmy is owned by Disney or something. Yeah I'm sure there's some rights issues but if Nickelodeon wants to use a character that they actually created, I am absolutely certain they can do it with a little effort.

I feel like part of the hesitation on Timmy might have to do with Butch Hartman tbh. I know Danny was also a Butch creation but he was comparatively hands off with that series in comparison to FOP, so it might still play some sort of role. I'm not very confident in that, though

The predictions for this roster feels more unpredictable then the 1st, with all the main ones in the game all is left is the most requested characters and some left field ones.

Really hope the gameplay stays fast paced and competitively focused. That’s what made me love the first so much.

Apparently some leaks say that movie sonic & knuckles are coming to the new one. Idk if it’s real but it’d be cool if knuckles appeared in a nick game before smash bros

still bitter that i spent the full $50 on the original and then didn't really care for it after the first few days, but i'll see if i can warm up to the possibility of getting the sequel. i was definitely pleased with their dlc picks!!

People are just desperate to have a competitor to Smash Bros because they want Nintendo to stop with it's anti-competitive practices that they can get away with due to having what essentially amounts to a monopoly on the entire genre of platform fighter PlayStation All stars WOULD have been the best alternative, but it dropped the ball heavily.

This seems very controversial,but then we remember that most series already did this way back,like the Street Fighter Alpha series,this is actually very cool that they made another game with more characters instead of the DLC shit (sure they will probably add more fighters through DLC,but let's be honest,this is a miracle)

I have been having the worst times recently and as soon as I saw that there was a video on Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2,AND it was made by LS mark,I was on it and have watched the whole thing.I love your Content and it inspires me to continue further on my own front of animation. Hope you are safe and make more videos ❤ (I personally hope that the characters Sanjay and Craig from that 1 show from 2013 makes it in,the show was fun,not perfect but fine but they have potential for such a fun moveset in NASB 2)

I got the first one a couple of months ago. I thought it was great in a sense that they tried and definitely were familiar with the source material.

I honestly really want to see Rango as a playable character.

Speaking of FoP characters, be cool to see Dark Laser, Super Bike, Jorgen, Francis, or The Crimson Chin be in this. Maybe not on the main roster, but as potential DLC

There are a lot of other Nickelodeon properties I think would be cool to have in the game that they haven’t used like: Characters from KaBlam!, Doug, The X’s, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Kappa Mikey and many more

Honestly, the biggest problem that all platform fighters face is: Why should someone play this over smash bros? And sadly, there just hasn't ever been a real reason why. It is weird because you could say the same to more traditional fighting games, like why would someone play something like Guilty Gear over Street Fighter? But they always find a way, may it be gimmicks, mechanics or just a completely different combat structure. Yet platform fighters are all kinda forced to stay pretty close to smash bros, which really isn't helping them. They can't get too complicated because then people just wanna play smash, they can't simplify because then people just wanna play smash. Basically, every platform fighter is in a lose-lose situation and I honestly don't see how anyone can get any audience as long as smash bros exists. (I say that fully knowing that Brawlhalla does stupid numbers for some reason, and it is by far the worst platform fighter, so my logic doesn't add up. Oh well.)

Nice video! Also another thing you missed in the trailer was that Donatello and Raphael were shown in gameplay! Meaning we may have all four of the TMNT turtles in this sequel! I doubt they’ll cut Leo and Mikey in the sequel since that’d just be too weird to have the other two and cut out the two from the first.

My most wanted character for NASB is Trixie, also from Fairly OddParents. I know that if FOP get any representation, Timmy HAS to be in (preferably with Cosmo and Wanda as part of his moveset), and if any other character would join him, while not improbable due to her being a major character, Trixie isn't all that likely either compared to other more major characters like Vicky or Crocker... but I can dream.
