Best purchase I've made in years! Got myself an i5 12500H version with rtx3060. I'm in love with the design and ports on the rear end AND additional m2 slot. Overall it is great!
Thanks! There should be a difference, but I'd think that the differential won't be that large comparing the 6800H against the 6600H...kinda hard to say for sure as I don't have the 6600H variant with which to do a test! How are you finding your gaming experience with the laptop thus far?
Does the Lenovo Vantage app you showcased in the video provide all necessary drivers for the laptop or do I manually have to download drivers from Lenovo’s website for instance?
The laptop already comes preinstalled with all necessary drivers, if that's what you're referring to! That said, whether or not the Vantage app can be used to update the laptop's preinstalled drivers, I can't recall as I no longer have the laptop with me..
This is Legion 5 2022, the speakers are worse than Legion 5 2021, what should I do? how come I feel that the Legion 5 2022 speaker is more clear and the bass is lacking, please help my friends who already have a Legion 5 2022 laptop to share their experiences about the speakers, thank you
Whata Amazing review.. just ordered white version... Btw playing on 90°C for straight 2 3 hrs will damage the heatsinks or affect thermal system of this beast?
Enjoy your new gaming laptop! I think it should do fine, I didn't get temperatures above 90°C from my experience with it...if you're concerned about thermals, you could consider getting a laptop cooling pad to help with keeping the laptop cool!
Hello, could you help me choose between the Legion 5 gen 7, ryzen5 6600h, fhd 165hz, Rtx 3050ti, rgb100, ram 16,512 ssd, 4cell 60Whr and the Ideapad gaming 3i gen 7, intel core i7 12700H, fhd 120hz, Rtx 350ti ram 16, 512 ssd, more than 6 hrs 🙏
Maybe i will buy this laptop because if it has usb 4 i should be able to use it igpu only without the dgpu and still have a multible monitor setup. If you have some time would you try looking glass on that laptop and see how good that works? If you don't know how looking glass works i can help you. I search for a device thats good with looking glass and i need good ram speed and i need good amount of cache and a igpu and dgpu that are atleast pci 3.0 x4 and pci 3.0 x8. This Laptop seems to have it all so i am curious about how it works with looking glass for gaming. You would do a great favor if you would try.
Hello, I'd love to help, but unfortunately I don't have the laptop with me anymore - it belongs to a friend who lent it to me for the review. Sorry about that! That said, I've minimal experience with VM software such as Looking Glass, are you using it for productivity purposes mostly?
@@ALKtech I mainly want to use linux because i really like the workflow you can get with alot of DE's but some software really needs windows so i also use vm's but i want tight integration and want to use a vm on the same display server with full performance and low latency. And i also want to use external displays. For that i need a laptop that can fully isolate the dgpu with iommu while still having the ability to use the igpu to drive external displays.
@@durschfalltv7505 right I see, seems like a very specialised set of needs that you've got right there! What PC are you using at the moment, out of curiosity?
@@ALKtech currently i use a DIY Pc. With a Ryzen 5700G. Probably gonna upgrade the gpu because that's junk.(gtx 760) I mean performance is ok but the igpu is a little slow for the host if i also want to stream my vm i get frametime issues with the capture. Now i got told biggest bottleneck currently is my cache and of course ddr4 ram speed because it shares the ram with the igpu of the cpu.
Of the two options, I'd probably go with the ASUS with the RTX 4060, simply because it has the newer GPU. I assume the ASUS is more expensive than the Legion 5?
I need your help what u think between This laptop Legion 5 R7 6800h 3060 vs Asus ROG 15 R7 4800h 3060 ?? Which one is better? Or shoud i save money and go for something like ROG 6800h 3050? Or 3050ti
The Legion 5 with the R7 6800H processor will outperform the ROG 15 with the R7 4800H processor for sure, though I'm guessing the Legion will be more expensive than the ROG. How's the price difference like between both laptops where you're from?
Which specs sheet are you referring to? The ones I've seen so far do state "RGB backlight" in the specs - could it be that the version you were looking at doesn't come with keyboard RGB backlighting?
@@zerosandones7547 will you be using the laptop primarily for gaming? If so, I'd think that you shouldn't see too big of a performance difference between the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7. If you're intending to use the laptop for productivity purposes as well (e.g. photo and video editing), having the extra two cores with the 6800H will definitely help performance along for sure!
Is there a price difference between both laptops? It's a bit of a toss-up between both laptops - the AMD 6800H might beat the Intel 11800H in terms of horsepower, but the RTX 3070 in the GP66 would likely translate into higher FPS than the RTX 3060 in the Legion 5. I'd say it probably all boils down to the pricing difference between both laptops if your primary purpose is to game!
The msi is a smaller form factor and will run into heat issues when compared to the legion 5. Both will more than get the job done but I feel like the legion meets that perfect balance of looks and practicality to run its specs to their max potential
I can't recall if there's the option within Control Panel to reduce the refresh rate. I'd like to think that there should be, though I don't have the laptop with me anymore to do a check!
I have the exact laptop right now, and yes, through windows settings at advanced display settings, there is an option to change your refresh rate to 60Hz, 82.5Hz or 165Hz for both integrated graphics and discrete graphics. I hope this helps.
@@imjustruhan This is very helpful - thank you so much for the info!! I think I'll pull the trigger on one of these now (they're on special - about half price at the moment).
The Ryzen 7 6800H CPU in this laptop should handle 4K video editing and CAD modelling just fine, seeing as it's a performance-oriented processor - it should chew through productivity workloads with ease, though the Intel equivalent laptop (Core i7-12700H or above) would also do the job too, maybe even better based on what I've seen by reports made by others. That said, I'd probably try to upgrade the RAM to 32GB for such productivity workloads though, budget permitting!
sir, can i use second slot nvme to use 2tb samsung nvme 980 pro sir? please giving me an answer sir, thank you 🙏 sorry for my bad English, greeting from Indonesia sir 🇮🇩
@@EKAS007 Lenovo doesn't explicitly state the maximum capacity supported, but I believe 2TB SSDs should be supported by this laptop. If you wanna be safe, you could try asking a retailer if they have a demo 2TB SSD unit that you could test with the laptop on the spot, before making a purchase!
Is it possible to use Realtek Audio Console in this laptop? Do you know the Intel i7 version? Do you know if the driver is Realtek too? The fact is that I have an Acer Aspire 5 Ryzen 7 and when using the headphones the sound is VERY GOOD, and has the simple but efficient Realtek Audio Console with Acer True Harmony... I need to know if I will have an excellent experience at Legion 5 too!
Hey there, unfortunately I don't have the laptop with me anymore, so I can't verify if Realtek's Audio Console will work with this laptop. To my non-audiophillic ears though, I did find that the audio experience was pretty decent with wired earbuds and the Nahimic audio control panel!
