You won't believe just how much power the turbo-prop engine in this huge, yet-to-be-flown RC plane produces. Filmed at the Tokoroa Airfield (NZTO) in New Zealand.
Flight videos of this model will hopefully be available at some time in the future.

Yeah I was hearing it, too. Sounded “crunchy” from the moment the prop first started moving. Also, there’s a weird oscillation of the prop spinner at around 1:06 that didn’t look real healthy, either. Not knocking the owner/builder. Just observing and hoping if these are legitimate issues that they get them worked out.

I've got no doubt that plane's prop costs more then my motor, and possibly the whole plane. I'm not sure it would even be fun to fly something that nice, I'd be afraid to 'just fly' it, with ground avoidance being the ONLY thing on my mind. I am always perplexed at how the aviation industry cannot build a small but powerful engine that rivals the automotive industry. The PT6 is probably on of the most common and most reliable turboprops out there. Couldn’t Lycoming and Continental build a smaller version for the general aviation community. Instead we get a bunch of engines that drink oil, are extremely expensive and have more issues than a Chinese knock-off. I’m glad to see someone innovate at this level and hope they can scale it to fit airplanes with 2-6 passengers. That would be AWESOME!

@@182QKFTW I was wondering why the prop wasn't turning in sync with the engine. Pretty mucht he same as a fluid transmission but with air pressure instead of water pressure. @@PiDsPagePrototypes I think you are getting your terminology mixed up here. You said cavitation damage. Cavitation in an aircraft prop is a called a prop stall and is where the smooth flow of air breaks away from the propeller and causes a massive drop off in thrust.
