That song hits me hard it makes my heart skip a beat. It makes me treasure the day up to now that I met my wife. So deep it bring tears to your eyes very awesome song.
My wife and I slow danced to how deep is your love ❤️ when we were 16 years old,we are now 60 with four kids and six grandchildren, the BeeGees were incredible, we still listen to all their music ❤❤
Can tell you guys really just heard this for the first time, by the looks on your faces...SO cool! Welcome to my world back then, 63-year-old grandpa here. No group takes me me back to then more...EVERY song they did was a masterpiece!!
Hi guys love your reactions credit must also be given to the music they have wrote for other artists as well as Their own performance's top draw the Brothers Gibb .
One of the best songs in pop music history by one of the best groups in music history ! The Gibb brothers were so talented! RIP Robin, Maurice and Andy Gibb 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💐💐💐🎤🎤🎤, Lord touch Barry Gibb, may he live a long life! One of the greatest singers and songwriters alive!
Barry, the lead singer is still alive. His two brothers have passed. RIP There will never be anyone like them. I love listening to them and reminiscing. ❤️
Guys, this song is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. You cannot go wrong with the Bee Gees. Listen to the very beginning and how their voices just penetrate your heart.❤
@@dennisstano2138 I listen every single day. I saw an interview with Alex Baldwin and Barry. His ? Was what song do u perform that touches your soul, gets u the most emotional. His answer was WISH U WERE HERE (written for Andy) and also HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE. another cool tidbit tidbit about this song is when the song was written, Barry and his brothers and a couple other people were in the room. When they were writing it, There was this big window and the first time they heard the song back a beam of light shined through the window and brightened the whole room up. I’m not sure if I have the story exactly correct but the guy that talked about it got choked up and started to tear up a bit. Barry and one of the producers of the song said they’ll never forget that moment as long as they live. I saw that on the documentary. How can you mend a broken heart. I’ve seen it like 10 times. 😍
I ❤ The Bee Gees so much. They were a major part of my teen years. I had (and still have) the biggest crush on Barry. Please react to their “Love So Right” and “Fanny, Be Tender (With My Love)”. They’re just the best.
Great time in music, the late 70's. Song is from the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack. You two have been pausing on Donna Summer for a while now, time for some Last Dance, Mac Arthur Park, Heaven Knows or Bad Girls.
Here are a few I love by the Bee Gees-- 'To Love Somebody' - 'More Than a Woman' - 'Massachusetts' - 'Jive Talkin'' - 'Nights on Broadway' - Immortality (with Celine Dion)
I'll ever forget the first time I heard this song when it was first released in 1977. I'd always loved the Bee Gees and this was the most beautiful song I ever heard. Shawn and Mel, you have quickly become my favourite reviewers. You radiate such a positive energy.
Their heaven;y harmonies were like no others on this earth, and they made it all look so effortless. This video showcases them so well. Interesting how big tall Barry had the high falsetto and no one thought it detracted from his masculine allure. Glad to see the younger generation getting it about these incredible guys.
The midnight special version of Nights on Broadway, 2001 This Is Where I Came In, Man in the Middle, You win again. So many great songs . You all are great you spread love and positivity. Mel you have a beautiful voice.
The Bee Gees were just The Hitmakers. Their songwriting is just impeccable. It’s beautiful the lyrics everything about it. I’m so glad that you’re finding them an appreciating them so long after they were so popular.
They wrote so many songs and were very talented.Their voices were complimentary, they harmonize so well. Saturday Night Fever is one of my favorite movies. Glad you liked this!
This is music! The Bee Gees are masters of harmonies. Pure talents without computers and autotunes. They can sing. Please check out older music. You will see the difference to music of today.
Shawn and Mel!! I’m so glad you guys love this!! It’s simply magical, one of the best songs ever. It’s the perfect combination of so many genres, an R&B/soul power ballad with an unforgettable and inspired melody, a category the Bee Gees owned all to themselves. The vocals are delivered with such effortless confidence, not to mention the best falsettos in the business. A classic among classics.
I love the Bee Gees aka The Brothers Gibb. I grew up listening to them and played them for my children. Their voices were so soft and mellow. RIP Andy Maurice and Robin. The lead singer Barry Gibbs is only one of the brothers still alive. Please react to their songs Shadow Dancin', How Can You Mend a Broken Heart and Emotion.
They crossed a few decades and grateful to be able to enjoy everything they gave us. Will always be timeless. Please react to a fave of mine from the 70s, Classics IV. They were so smooth and talented!
This song topped the US Billboard charts in 1977. Remember it well, so good. The Bee Gees were easily amongst the greatest songwriters of popular music.
This was a French Baby... Barry and Blue Weaver (the keyboardist) first create the beautiful melody in the morning ,and later of course made this awesome baby with the Gibb brothers (Robin and Maurice)...wow so gifted to our fans ...❤🎉😊
You are so cute and love your voice Shawn. I grew up wuth their songs playing everywhere (I am 65). I really loved the Beatles more but the Bee Gees was allways there. I rediscover them now and listen to them more often. These 3 brother the lead singer name is Barry was so popular at the time. The twins Robin and Maurice was very talented (both died at a young age Barry is still alive bless him). Maurice was so talented playing many instruments. Robin voice is like heaven I loved his song " I started a joke" it is lovely. At the time we didn't appreciate the Bee Gees that much because we lived in the 70s and there was so much soul and good music from England and USA. I think there are so musical and amazing. Thank you for bringing back that era when men were romantic and had respect for woman. You are a lovely couple keep love and respect and shared intererests like music. All the best from Jerusalem.
My all time favorite song from the Bee Gees ever since I first heard it at the age of just 10 years old. My cousin (3 yrs older) had just bought the Saturday Night Fever double album & we listened to it on repeat. I loved all the great dance tunes but this song caught my ear with the first few notes. I hadn't really heard a "love song" before. Sure I heard them on the radio or when my parents would put on a record, but I never really paid close attention to the actual words or what they meant being so young at the time. I remember clearly the next day I went out & bought this album with my own weekly allowance money that I had saved up. It was the first time buying "grown up's music". I think another reason why it has such meaning is that this song was the very first time I ever "slow danced" with a boy at a school dance in the cafeteria. I was in 5th grade & Charlie was in 6th grade. He wasn't a boyfriend but just a family friend (our moms knew each other). When this song played, he knew how much I liked it so he asked me to dance. I had never danced with a boy so talk about being nervous! But since we were already friends, he just chatted about the Bee Gees, the song, etc. & before we knew it, our dance was over... I'm almost 56 now (in 4+months) & that one memory has always stuck with me. 😊 The entire soundtrack album is filled with amazing music. The Bee Gees wrote most of the songs, but several were performed & recorded by other artists. One of my other favorites from this album is "If I can't have you" by Yvonne Elliman (Bee Gees wrote it). She has such a rich melodic voice. I hope you will check out that song, among others on the album, & maybe give the movie a viewing one day. It's a fun watch, if nothing else but for all the great music & dance scenes. A prime example is the video for "You should be dancing" by The Bee Gees. The video shows them on stage (with little brother, Andy!) & has clips of John Travolta's glorious dance moves. 😍 You will love it, I promise!
Another banger they wrote that I absolutely love is "Emotion" recorded by Samantha Sang in 1978. It has been covered by many artists over the years, but the original recording by Samantha (with Bees Gees on backup vocals) is the one to hear first before all other versions.
It's ok to let the tears flow. I've been listening to this song for decades, often times hitting repeat more than once. I must have heard this song thousands upon thousands of times, but it still makes me swoon & get weepy eyed every time I hear it. Many of us love their older music, but they continued to compose & produce music until the untimely deaths of Maurice (2003) & Robin (2012). Two of their "newer" songs (post disco era) that I really love are "One" (1989) and "Alone" (1997). My favorite "old school" song is Jive Talkin'. I'm telling you, Maurice is a master on the bass guitar, laying down one of the heaviest FUNKY beats ever recorded. It makes you get up & dance, you can't help it. The beat just takes over & your body starts to move automatically - LOL!
Barry is sort of an avatar of the disco era--big hair, unbuttoned shirt, neck chain, tight pants, and all. Plus the high falsetto was very unexpected coming from such an alpha-looking male.
Shawn and Mel, you are great, love the reactions from both of you, one can see you really enjoy this music which is , really classic and will never get tiresome.
Isso sim que é banda, e música de qualidade, quando escuto os Bee Gees, é mesmo que estar no céu. São os melhores do mundo!👋👋👋👋🇧🇷 Adoroooooooooo!!❤❤❤❤❤
The Bee Gees have been an Amazing Artists, Songwriters and Brothers singing before I was born. They were the one of the most Talented bands I have been listening to since I was a teenager. I will mourn the last of the Gibb brothers Barry. They are and Always will be One of the Greatest Artists I will mourn!!!! Maurice, Robin and Andy left too soon. Barry is the oldest and last of this Amazing family of Artists.
After all these years, they still give me the chills. Thank you, Barry, Robin, and Maurice. And thank you to Mel and Shawn for the dive Had to come back and add, slow dancing to this song is the best!.
And you come to me on a summer breeze keep me warm with your love then you softly leave .❤ What a beautiful love song and i was fortunate to have heard most of the BGS songs way back when they were released. My my music back then was so much fun. Keep up the great reactions. 😊
One of my many favorites from these guys!!! Their younger brother Andy, also released this song. Voice Perfection!!! Barry, Robin & Maurice Barry is only one living!!!!
Whoa !! 2 Bee Gees songs in a row from y'all's channel. What a great Saturday. So many good songs from the Bee Gees, as you both have discovered. Love the channel. Keep up the good work.
Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, by the Bee Gees. A song written ny Carol King, and recorded by the Bee Gees, as a tribute. They knocked it out of the park.
There was also a baby beegee brother, Andy, can sing just like his brothers, their is a tribute song they sang for him , as he died very young , it's more than beautiful
I've watched and enjoyed you guys for so long, so Ive joined. I've loved the Bee gees, I was in my 20's back then. Wow, I miss being young, strong, able, and having hope for the future. They were gorgeous back then. A lot of guys were. I love to watch the way you guys enjoy what we had every day of our young lives.
Andy Gibb was my favorite of the Brother's Gibb everyone forgot him but i never ever will. He was a solo artist no one can take anything from him he was very talented in his own right. Had a huge crush on Andy hell i still do. Poor Barry was not on good terms with Andy when he passed away he said that is a burden i must carry for the rest of my life and i agree with him. Awesome reaction.
They lived near me when they were growing up (around when I was born!) and people who knew the family said their mum would constantly drill the boys in singing techniques... guess it paid off!
I am happy to say that you are mistaken! Barry, the oldest brother (usually stands in the middle) is still alive. He is the last surviving Bee Gee brother & he must be protected at all costs! There have been news stories about Barry still keeping their music alive & interviews he's talked about the loss of his brothers & life long musical partners, since their early days performing as kids/young teens. Last year he released Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1, collaborating with other musicians & singers. Mo (Maurice) died in 2003 and Robin passed from cancer in 2012. Their youngest brother, Andy died way back in 1988 at the young age of just 30 yrs old. Andy was actually my favorite brother out of all of them. He looked & sounded so much like Barry. In fact those two could pass for twins more so than the actual twins, Maurice & Robin - LOL! My favorite songs from Andy are "I just want to be your everything" and "Shadow Dancing" Please give baby brother, Andy, a listen sometime soon - he will blow you away, like his big brothers do!
