I can think on a few reasons: it's hard to hear in the bad quality video, and it uses some pretty weird pedal effects. Dave played harder stuff in the channel before. Actually, Ichika's solo in this same video should be harder for him, seeing as it uses a less familiar technique.

Of course bass is his primary focus, but if he didn't implement jokes and memes in his video I don't think he'd have such popularity.
