Not just console. Even the best just get dunked on and it takes quite a few games to get a good start (which is why it's so stupid). Plus, so many people think they're good enough to stand a chance but they really aren't. They don't even land at an uncontested box or building so they can get loot. Just land on streamer building and hope for the best. I'm all for wanting to get some action, but with people now having armour you can't viably melee people if you don't get loot.

It is but equally that's what the game needs. Powerful long range weapons pulls the game back from being the super aggressive, R99 beaming, movement-only-matters, deathmatch style gameplay that was dominating the meta. Now teams have to think twice about just trying to dunk on you with an Octane jump pad. Along with the PK buff this feels like the best balanced gameplay we've had in a long time.

i wish they had balls to do that but they won't.. remember how long (or rather how short) time the armor nerf lasted? (all armors had 25hp less meaning TTK was much faster... people want their safety gear instead of having to think about their positioning or avoiding making mistakes... they don't want tactical thinking added to the game.. just move and shoot - no flanking, no cover usage, abilities being near meaningless... they just wanna keep the status quo and don't like when things are changed.... the community is in a bad spot imo

@@samamies88 I might be one of the few who actually like the armor change, it also fits the progression of evo armor (old) more. They complained APEX TTK is too long but when the change to armor happened they complained it's too fast? Yeah, I will never get those people man.

i have never gotten armor swap on fly might be just my pc being so potato it always loads everything too long from opening the deathbox to then swapping the armor but i see enemies just run over a box and getting armor swapped and that felt unfair - if this is how they balance it i welcome the change - if what you said is true then maybe everyone now has same delay which makes the playing field balanced

I feel like almost every full Auto weapon they released was good on release. But the slower the gun is. The worse they balance. Car, volt, r-99, R-301,Flatline,L-star (amazing), Rampage, G7(on floor) (meh) and 3030, Longbow, Bow (now) (awful)

@@hot_usecondchannelxd2274 the g7 has a decent fire rate and i wouldnt say the 3030 is that bad. They re marksman weapons so they re supposed to be longer range weapons. You could still buff them like increase the charged time from the 3030 when you leave ads mode, let u use both hop ups on the 3030 or buff g7 hipfire

Alright let's list new weapons and see how it did on release: L-Star = garbage tier care package weapon Charge Rifle: BZZZZT PEW BZZZZT PEW BZZZZT PEW and someone from other side of the map downed. So fucking broken that it took multiple nerfs to bring it down to other long range weapons, ultimately sealed when Sniper type weapon introduced and even then still have niche uses all the way until today. Sentinel = scuffed kraber, bolt action nature made it as long range support instead of usual long range killer, has audacity to ask for battery for mediocre effect of breaking shield upon impact Volt: Perfectly balanced upon release and became one of the meta weapon. 3030 repeater: what is this garbage lol, charge based long range weapon that do slightly more dmg when fully charged but charge takes too long you often shot it uncharged. When scout was available this will not gonna be touched. Bocek Bow: Remember how Hanzo from overwatch has suspiciously generous headshot hitbox on his bow? This is APEX version of it, even have high base dmg and very ammo efficient. Nerfed twice and it became what it is now, probably overnerfed. Rampage: Thought as OP but it's actually balanced, secretly Fuse buff. CAR: Well balanced, might be overtuned because it is objectively better than r99 and Volt. Yeah, all low fire rate weapons aside from L-star has problematic balancing, it's either too good or too bad. L star case is just weird but at least it's on the good spot now.
