Pepe Lopez, Efren Llarena, Rocket Suarez, Manuel Mora etc etc
But what is happening with the rallies at the moment has made me reflect, rallying is very expensive, and it is very difficult to get sponsors and sponsors. In addition, popular opinion around the world of cars and races is causing fewer and fewer timed tests to be carried out and the federation to have more problems organizing them. That is why the number of gravel rallies is decreasing. I love to run races, and if there is no dirt, we will have to go to the asphalt rallies!
Also, last weekend I went to a private event with Micky Labarias, driver of the Catalan asphalt rally championship who drives a Peugeot 208 Rally 4, one of the most powerful cars in the category. During the event we visited the basella motorcycle museum, then we went to drive a carcross or kartcross casmat, and finally we rode co-driver with micky labarias on a stretch of asphalt.
The next and last rally of the Catalan Rally Championship season will be held at the Formula 1 circuit in Spain, the Circuit de Montmelo, Barcelona Catalunya. A rally in the purest WRC style like the monza rally, in which we use the roads and service roads in addition to the prepared circuit. This is going to be the last rally of the season, with amazing cars, many porsches, a renault 5 turbo etc. Our Subaru is prepared for dirt, but we have made some improvements to leave an asphalt set up. New 17-inch wheels and tires, with Michelin Pilot Sport slicks. Preparation of the suspensions for the rally and activated antilag.
This will be the rallysprint of the 2021 racc rally, a rally around the circuit of catalunya organized by the racc club and the catalan motorsports federation. It will be held at the same time as the Madrid rally show, in which the best national drivers will participate. They almost ran us over... Stay Tunning in Peru! The idea is very similar, to make a fun and perfect last rally of the season for the public to enjoy.
