She is clearly flirting with infidelity. The fact that she either doesn’t realize this or won’t admit to it is pathetic. You can’t over-explain your way out feelings like this. She wants to cheat, and the funny thing is is that if she would just admit to this it would make it so much more reasonable and I would respect her a great deal. Also, kind, gentlemanly, and arguably good men also engage or facilitate infidelity. OP should watch Mad Men. The show opened my eyes to the painful complexity of relationships that arise due to the situations we find ourselves in and around work.
