I have thought about getting an inversion table for mine yoga has helped keep me going for sure.

What was your specific back diagnosis? Disc herniation with end-range flexion/extension intolerances here. Look into Stuart McGill’s stuff. As a former powerlifter following his stuff benefited me so much. If golf is the #1 priority it’s not really worth hitting crazy PR’s in the gym anymore. I was trying to balance powerlifting and improving my golf game for so long until I realized both sports are on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of spinal health. My lifting became super conservative and I went to a, if it hurts don’t do it approach. RDLs and conventional/sumo deadlifts were major culprits no matter how straight my back was and the risk/reward ratio frankly wasn’t worth it anymore. Barbell squats and trap-bar deadlifts, perfectly fine.

As a fellow chiropractor I’m genuinely curious. Why do you do decompression before getting adjusted? In my office I adjust first to ensure the body is aligned and nervous system is balanced then we do decompression. Decompression adds a lot of force to the lumbar spine and afterwards rest and light movement is key. I’m curious to what your docs thoughts and reasons on this are

My chiropractor told me to buy an inversion table. It was the best thing I could have done! Its a lifesaver! It takes a while to get used to, but I use mine everyday and haven't had to go back to the chiropractor since. I tell everyone that has back problems about them.

I’ve had a wicked bulged disc at my L5-S1 since last May and it’s been getting worse. I would die to get on that machine

I got into golf in September and quickly found good good right after and Matt was the least appealing to me (I’m sorry) but honestly since then seeing how sweet this guy is (literally telling girls to leave him alone because he’s happily married) has completely turned me around on him. He and G are my favorites.
