To be fair, I dont think Id stop for some random guy on the sidewalk asking for change regardless of if he had tats or not. He could just go into a shop and ask for change. Id think hes up to something
Not long ago we were told not to do that because fake money was floating around and they were pawning off tens and twenties that were fake and asking people to exchange them for 5 dollar bills that were real. Thanks but I don't want your fake money
@@hoodatheist5549 13 but you are really are dumb. Do not try to use "I'm 13 and I know that" because you are technically assuming all 13 year olds are dumb. Jessica stated a fair opinion on the fact she would not stop for a "random guy" not a tattooed guy. Also before you go "harassing" people through text; Think about if a random guy came up to you and asked for change I bet you would feel fear since your all alone in that moment.
@@hoodatheist5549 And YOU need a good hiding for not reading or understanding this comment before sticking in your 50 cents worth! If you are not polite enough to use the dialogue box without abusing people then don't use it at all. Stick to the subject matter and don't get personal - two very basic rules for intelligent debate, and you blew them both. My son is 10yo and he knows that! Which means you are not mature enough to be using the dialogue box for another couple of years.
I think he’s handsome. My husband went through the same thing. When my family first met him they were very judgmental and standoffish. They would talk to him for all of 30 seconds and just fall in love. I do believe my family loved my husband more then they love me. He passed away in May and everyone still talks about what a gentleman and beautiful person he was. When you get to know someone you don’t see the tattoos anymore. They fade in to the background.
This is the most unfair trial. In test 1 you’re wearing a tight top showing your huge muscles which is intimidating for any species. In test 2 you’re covered up wearing that puffer jacket hiding muscles. Your tone is also far more calm and friendly in the second video. This isn’t about tattoos; it’s about muscly people and tones.
Coupled with tatts, direct eye contact, his tone of voice, and muscles..It's an intimidation thing certainly. Second half.. Omg I would talk gently to a guy wearing that amount of makeup too.."It puts the lotion on its skin" kinda scary. :-/
Yeah exactly. And you're also more likely to get directions than you are to get change . I'm a tattoo artist and I used to see alot more discrimination but it's rare these days. Of course I don't have any facial tattoos just on my neck. That dude has weird eyes looks like he's on E
He said he wants to look "rebel-ish" but then complains when people think he looks abnormal? Isn't that the definition of rebel, though? I don't get it. If you're altering your body to make yourself look different, it makes sense that you'd also be treated different. That's the point of a tattoo, isn't it? A tattoo expresses what is inside you and sends a signal to the world for how you want to be treated. If you tattoo a cross, for instance, then you will be treated like a Christian as that's likely what you are. My tattoo is a cute little kitty with my husband's name written across it and that's exactly what I am, a cute, friendly creature devoted to the man I love. That's who I am and you'd be right to assume that and treat me accordingly. Bizarre tattoos are going to repel straight-laced people, meaning only people with an open mind will approach you. Isn't that what you want?
I know I'm way too late. Your comment is exactly how I've felt for a long time. I've never gotten a tattoo for this very reason. I don't know who I am yet and changing everyday. I don't want people to know what I'm about 24/7 it's pointless.
@@valterstrumpiks7832 yeah there are people like that but that doesn’t mean that if someone is buff or has face tats they are trying to look intimidating. My gf wants a tat below her ear and she’s the sweetest thing in the world as long as you feed her lmao. Anyways if someone thinks that someone is buff they’re scary thats their problem they’re like that through hard work and good dedication to a gym. If people don’t like face tats then that’s their own personal problem and I’m willing to bet they’re not in a place to be judging people based on looks or past mistakes. :)
If you don't want people to avoid you, don't make yourself look so threatening. Our appears tells people how we want to be treated. I think more people need to be taught that.
Yes they are, but when you have tattoos on your face, you want to stand out and be different from the norm...so you get approacched differently...because you yourself signal you are (or at least want to be) different. Tattoos on the face are not common still. This person definitely stands out. By doing this he is distancing himself , much more than society is distancing from him in my opinion.
Tattoos have a stigma that comes from the past (people who went through jail were the ones who had them). It's hard to get rid of a stigma in just a decade or two. Don't play the victim though. You know when you are getting a visible tattoo (particularly on the face) that some people will look at you the wrong way. Give it time and this won't be much of an issue anymore because having tattoos will become the norm.
Does not want to be discriminated against, then covers himself in head to toe in tattoos and dresses in all black then cries about people treating him differently, lmao.
Had something similar recently. I helped a couple in a bar identify a song. Then i heard wife whisper to her husband "i really don't like tattoos. In the same bar months earlier a person who was for the most part friendly asked "do you worry your tattoos will hold you back?"
Off course they were! They knew this was an easy way to get to approach victims and keep them unsuspecting. Just the same as people with facial tattoos have them for the specific effect they have on people. They demonstrate that effect in this video.
It’s funny that we discriminate against specific forms of art while cherishing others that have been artificially inflated by a corrupted market of wealthy people. Tattoos are a representation of ones soul. You wear those pieces of art as a form of harmless self expression.
Thats why when I see a dude with evil tattoo, I automatically avoid him. Cause thats supposed to represent his soul right? And I’m scared of evil. So don’t talk to me.
Maybe I'm weird. I don't feel his tattoos make him look like a criminal at all. If anything I find him to be interesting. I would never get those tattoos myself but I find it interesting that someone would. He definitely doesn't come off as an intimidating person. He doesn't carry himself in a mean or sketchy way.
eveningbreeze wow u don't know how to read people and this is how people end up dead....but by all means have ur opinion....not all of us can be the strongest
I'm a highly educated and very respectable lady, and I'm a teacher at a very respected University. But when I was young, 21yo, I got a full-back tattoo done of a scene from Lord of the Rings (long before the movies came out), which covers from the tops of my shoulders to the tops of my legs, so the only person who ever sees all of it is my husband and occasionally a doctor or spine specialist. I still love that it's there, but I always cover it well at work because I don't want to influence young minds. Or lose my job! But in Summer after work hours I figure it's my body. And when I was young I did tend to wear skimpier clothing to show some of it off at weekends, and 30yrs ago 'nice' ladies just did not do that kind of thing! So I REALLY copped it for having it. But I still think of it as being a very beautiful piece of art, not just a tattoo. And the only difference between myself and people who don't have tattoos is that I DON'T DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE TATTOOS! Things are much more relaxed for women who have tattoos these days, but I hope that you young girls appreciate that it was older ones like me who already took most of the prejudices of mindless people and paved the way for you so that you don't have to put up with their horrible comments. It's not nearly as bad these days!! I've always had to cover up in order to have a great career though. Ink is just art, people ... get over it!!
WTF murder rate has to do with tattoos? With or without murdering, tattoos were born in tribes developed in prisons and brought up to us from layman fellows who knew they couldn't get a job with ink on their neck/face but they did it anyway.
This is a very interesting study, but also very telling. It goes into a deeper discussion on self image, how we as people view other people, acceptance and is beauty really skin deep???
People barely talk to each other in L.A., so I actually get excited when someone steps out of their box! If I can help, I will. No matter how they look. If I pick up on a creepy vibe, then I’m out! I’m a creative person, so I enjoy looking at others tattoos. I have 2 myself and my sons are adding more & more over time. I get that most people would have a stereotypical reaction. But, that’s not me.
In London I avoid stopping for people, and I stand far away from them when I do. I trust no one. I have found that older people will talk to you when out and about in London though.
I already knew this. If I saw this man I would probably even cross the road honestly. It's a bad world and he wears a certain kind of uniform that makes him look like a bad guy and he did it knowing that fact.
I would be fascinated by him and talk to him for very long, even look at his ink works. I dont have tats YET, I'd love to have a full body ink work done tho. \m/
In UK tattoos(sleeves up) I guess are still super Taboo from these videos I’ve been watching on your channel, but in the US almost everyone has them so you still get treated like an actual human being. 💯
He seems like a nice guy and by all means, it’s his body and he can do what he wants to it. I’d still stop to lend him a hand or if I got change, help the chap out. However, I’m not a big fan of tattoos and feel like, one should not permanently ruin their body with graffiti.
The correlation between heavy tattoos and criminal gang membership is a real thing. At some point, claiming prejudice is just an appeal to ignore reality.
yeah just like suits and politicians robbing and killing hundreds of people but you dont look to the wallmart security and be like OMG! HE HAS A SUIT RUUUUUUUN
I don’t believe this for a moment !! I would not judge someone for tattoos and he didn’t even ask the same questions each time so not even a far experiment
No one forced this guy to cover himself in tattoos and there is no doubt in my mind that he knew full and well it would change how most people would look at him. No sympathy.
Its not about tattoo discrimination. Im not saying every ppl with tattoos are bad ppl but some of the tattoo community ppl think their tattoo have some kind of god like power and they think they are very intimidating by the way they walk and behave out there in the community. That is what changed the mentality of public ppl
