Today we go on a last-minute trip to Vashon Island! I haven’t heard much about this island before, but since it’s my goal to check out every island possible in Washington State, we explore it. We check out the food scene, go on a nature walk, succumb to buying cool stuff at local shops, try ice cream made just down the street and support farm stands. Ive been to a farm that does that, its part out of faith, part because theyre so remote they dont honestly need to worry about anyone stealing, and bc they just dont have manpower to go guard a stand instead of work the farm haha
I live on Vashon. Nice place to live, assuming you rarely need to ride the ferry. The aggravation from one ferry trip is easily enough to put me off from it for a couple months. I feel bad for those who commute to Seattle for work.

In the video, where you say your plan to board on the ferry after buying flower, I saw that Mommy Oh was listening very carefully with a small smile on her face. It felt like she was seeing her little daughter who has suddenly grown up to be a wise adult...it was heart touching. Though I am not sure if she felt the same ;) Best luck in your life and keep entertaining us with your lovely video...

Thank you so much! Gouache is kind of like watercolor in the sense it is water-soluble and can be rewet after it's dried on the paper. But the colors are more solid than watercolor. Both mediums are fun to work with in their own special ways 🎉

Look where it attached to the stem - if it is white it is not fully ripe; if it is purple (like yours) it is fully ripe and will be super sweet (as you found out). 14:50 Not a spider; fall web worm. I remember picking cherries on Vashon Island with my family a long time ago and we had to weigh and pay for the cherries with the honor system. The fact that there was an honor system blew my Southern California mind 🤯. Great vid!! Love the Seattle area!
