I usually don't mind zombie media either, but the way TLOU uses sound really scares me. The music, the vague creaking and footsteps, the sounds that each of the infected makes. It builds dread in such an awful (but fun!) way.
My first time coming across your channel. This is my 50 11 time watching this gameplay from gamers. Now, I'm gonna watch you because I need to see your reaction 😅 You're going to love this game. Part 2 is even more gangsta.
if sarah made you mad you will not be able to handle the sequel. It's highly controversial for a reason based on the decisons they made to take the story and something that happens. It pissed A LOT of people off. I won't spoil it but just know the sequel will get your blood pumping. p.s. some advice on stealth. dont create the problem where one doesnt exist. there was no need to throw a distration to that clicker because he was just standing there. you can avoid clickers and just focus on the runners that can actually see you. but because you kept throwing something you were creating the sound that took the enemies from patrol status to alert status making it harder for you to bypass them all. So don't do that and only throw distractions where there is no other option. stealth is far more about patience and picking the right moments to attack. you'll get it. But ya you were causing the problem to be worse. Just leave clickers be if they are not patrolling. If they are just standing around they are no threat to you.
@@NoCluYT The acting in that scene was way better than that of the tv show. It's scary how good of a job the actress playing Sarah did - the way she squealed in pain was too realistic.
And also how he made reference to clickers, before they have made their first appearance in the game... it's just like he has actually played this before! 🤔
@@nicknoble9693 nah I'm sure he didn't play the game yet he even says he's seen gameplay which is how he knows about Joel and Ellie so it's likely that's how he knew about the clickers
This has become my favorite youtube channel by far. Brings me back to early youtube Let's Players back in the early 2010's; that feeling of really being on a journey with someone. Dude is so genuine and good-natured. Glad I found this channel, keep doing you Jett
The intro to this game is fucking KILLER, man. The performances are top notch, the fact they made you play AS SARAH only to kill her off, and the MUSIC. Like, bro, 10/10 opening.
i have watched... 7 playthroughs of this game and pt. 2... and when i tell you this is COMMON... i mean common. 2/7 of the people i watched picked that fact up right there and someone picked it up halfway THROUGH THE SECOND GAME. 4/7 didnt turn their flashlight on in any fight.
Friendly tip : clickers are 100% Blind but when they try to scream in your direction they are using echo thing so react fast and get behind something. + when you see runner face down ( depressed) as you said . They can’t see you neither .. !
Hey Jett, loved the video and I'm really happy you're playing this. Just a few tips: 1) Try to not move Joel around too much when aiming, because when you move around, the crosshair gets bigger and the firing becomes less accurate. But don't beat yourself up about the aiming in general, it was designed to be harder than most shooter games to make combat a less viable option. Once you upgrade your guns, it should make firefights easier. 2) Remember to turn your flashlight off when dealing with humans, they can see you otherwise. But turn it on when dealing with infected, you will need to spot them when sneaking around in dark places. 3) Clickers can hear you even if you're crouching. When you're sneaking around next to them, you can't move at full crouching speed, you have to go slower than normal. Push only lightly on the L stick. 4) Save the shivs / knives if you can, because you need them to kill clickers and open locked doors with loot. In fact, save/craft as much stuff as possible in general. 5) If you get spotted or get into a firefight and you're low on health/ammo, you can always sprint away and try stealth again. When sprinting away from enemies, they will miss their shots more often (it won't work if you're sprinting towards them though). Just run away, find some cover to break the enemy's line of sight and wait a while. They will stop shooting and start patrolling to your last known position. Then you can try to sneak around them again. 6) When you press triangle and grab enemies, you can use them as a human shield during firefights. If you're close to an enemy during combat, punch them until they're stunned or throw a bottle/brick to immediately stun them. Once they're stunned, you can then grab them and move around with them while shooting at everyone else.
Joel is up there with my top 5 gaming protagonists along with Kratos, Arthur Morgan, Geralt of Rivia, and Jin Sakai. You’re in for a treat Jett. (Wtf happening in the comments? 😂)
Oh bro, here we go. Jett, I just want to let you know that you are by far my favourite creator on this platform. You bring this kind of energy that doesn’t feel forced or obligated, just you and your antics. Nothing reassures me more than knowing you’re doing what you love. Just remember that whatever happens, you’re the GOAT.
Three basic tips: 1 - Infected can't see light, just movement, so keeping flashlight on in dark areas is fine. 2 - Infected sleep on their feet. 3 - Clickers are blind but they use clicking as a form of echolocation - if you see a clicker suddenly stop walking and start clicking while turning their head left/front/right, don't be in their line of "sight". Already loving this let's play, your energy is great. 👍
40:50 The pure brutality of the melee in this game is incredible; it makes you feel so deadly and I feel Jett would love it. Especially the ending animations in certain environments, shows how capable Joel is
You're in for a treat, man. Can't wait to see you play the rest of this! 6:05 also same, it's one of my big fears as well. It not being impossible for it to actually happen is the scariest part. Parasitic stuff has always creeped me out, but this typa thing would be on another level. Ugh, get the shivers just thinking about it.
The crazy thing is, there is a parasite that does stuff like this to animals in the wild I forget what its called, but it was a worm like thing that got in the brain and basically ate an animal alive, keeping its body going a little while after death until it eventually found a new host
@@lucamigliavacca Didn't know that, haven't played it since it first came out so I might've forgotten but it seems new, or maybe its why I knew it in the first place and just forgot xD Interesting little fun fact right there regardless.
Nah fr if I got put into school during a literal like zombie apocalypse I’d be like this shit happened for a reason AND THE REASON IS SCHOOL, GET ME OUTTA HERE 🥺😢😭
Hell yeah, my favourite game ever next to Part II, such an emotional ride. Few tips, it's good to always have one shiv and not use it on enemies cause there's some locked doors with a lot of loot that you can open only with a shiv. Infected don't care about light from flashlight so they won't spot you if you use it. When you see a locked safe there's always a note with code somewhere close, though you can also open it just by hearing diffrent sound (click) when you get the right number. When you throw or just punch anyone with a brick or bottle they're stunned and can be grabbed or just one hit killed. Also most of the time you can just sneak right past enemies to the next area without being spotted and you'll get different animations while opening the door etc if you're spotted or not. Search everything and save resources. I think that's it, you'll learn the rest while you play. Have fun, can't wait for next episodes, cheers bro!
it's so refreshing to see people who like Part II, I swear the people who all say it's trash at any opportunity have no critical thinking skills and they're blinded by emotion lol. it's so tiring
This game destroyed me soul and I haven't gotten it back. 10 years later, I STILL cry at Sarah's part. This game is amazing, the story is THE BEST video game story of all time.
I hate it when people say: "don't get too attached to that character, they might die". Like... When i'm watching a show or movie, I want to feel sad when a character dies, because it shows how likable and well written that character actully was. I'd rather feel something than feel nothing at all
1:15:00 i was honestly thinking the same thing but tbh, with the amount of people that are dying you GOTTA have babies otherwise the population is gonna take a huge cut
HANDY TIP: When a clicker starts to growl and do the clicks, do not move an inch, this is when the clicker will "see" you through soundwaves. Many people start to move because it's an automatic (panic) response (Fight, Flight, Freeze). In this case, just freeze and do nothing, wait till the clicker starts moving again, then crouch away from them. Also, if the clicker is standing still chilling with the arms crossed, just sneak past them, it will not notice you. It's not always necessary to throw stuff just to lure the clicker away, especially when there are runners nearby, you'll just alarm the rest and we all know what will happen next - wasting ammo XD
you're way too hard on yourself lol. Ive played this game multiple times and the parts you struggled on STILL give me trouble. Youre actually pretty good by my standards lmao. Also your commentary is hilarious. Keep it up man!
The intro to TLOU shows how impactful insanely good writing is. We knew Sarah for all of 10 minutes and cried like she was our own daughter when she died. I absolutely love this game
watching someone play my favorite game in this world and ENJOY IT and REACT EXACTLY how i did the first time is such a gift. Like, i am living vicariously through him right now and i wish i could go back in time and play it for the first time again
I just finished watching Jettro play the whole first and second game now I’m back to watching the first episode and back to watching him play the last of us part one 💀💀💀💀💀
Found you at the beginning of this year, and your content is amazing! This series is gonna be so much fun! I hope you enjoy this game as much as some of us have.
Little late with the comment but bro just gotta say you're an absolute gem to watch play through this. Have watched this already, and am caught up with Last of us Part 2, and I keep coming back to rewatch. Just so much appreciation and love. Keep killing it!
Dude, this game is gonna be really crazy Just prepare yourself for each episode you make lol plus when you beat through this game the second one’s even crazier no spoilers, of course
idk why but sarahs death scene never hit me hard as some of the other cutscenes in the game. its very sad dont get me wrong, but the game doesnt give you a chance to get connected to the character. imo the scene where joel finds ellie in the house at the ranch is the best, most emotional cutscene in this game
Useful tip: When a Clicker starts clicking and moving their head they are using their echolocation, so if you are behind them or out of their range while they are clicking then the echolocation will not hit you and you won’t be spotted. Also if a Non-clicker spots you it will alert the clickers.
I am mad at youtube, I have been watching Last of Us reactors for years and they never suggested you. Your energy is amazing, like hanging out with someone you’ve known forever. So glad I finally found you. Awesome work sir.
Bro I can’t even explain to you how hype I am to watch this series, I’ve only been watching since about halfway through the read dead playthrough but you are by far one of my favorite content creators out there. The emotion you bring along with the fact that you actually bond emotionally with the characters is amazing. Not a lot of creators out there bring that these days, so keep it up Jett, you the goat bro💯 🐐
1:13:53 what Tess is saying here is, she sees Joel's hesitation because Ellie is another young girl, just like his daughter. Joel doenst want to relive the pain.
My first thoughts before watching the rest of the video: I am scared for this guy. My second thought: this dude is about to be EMOTIONALLY fucked up after this
