as a 9ers fan the lions had my respect for a while. The fans for sticking with their team through all those bad years and the team itself for the way they approached this rebuild. rebuild isnt even a strong enough word. The way they reshaped that culture starting with Sheila, Dan and Brad is impressive. DC said in the press conference, that it's hard to make it to the big game and for some if not most this might have been the only shot. But I think they have the mental fortitude to come back to that. It's gonna be hell of a fight with the packers over the next years for that Division. But that rivalry and strong competition is what makes teams strong....

@23:00 penalty was Pi on the db for impeding the receiver...so it's a first either way. Edit: also penalty on Lions on the onside kick...illegal touching...was 9ers ball anyway. I mean, I live in CA, a hub for people from other places. You gotta just accept your friends with other teams. Still, you were invested and you watch with passion. Respect. Tale of two halves. I had to sit through the 1st half of misery, hearing my friend saying that Brock Purdy is garbage, hoping my man would turn it around. Was so happy the 49ers took advantage of Dan Campbell's ill fated decisions. As for the Super Bowl, if BP gets protection, the offense will put up enough points to win; the defense must do their part. KC likes to blitz a lot, so O-line and BP must be on alert. LET'S GOOOO!!!

I think you're right about receivers definitely need an upgrade because Goff hit a couple guys in their number but also something that is underrated not every QB is capable of putting the right touch on a ball one of the main positives about Brock is that he throws a soft catchable ball Kaep had a gun but he always threw same velocity whether a 50+ yard bomb or a 5-10 yard reception not every receiver is able to handle that think that .ight be something Goff needs to work on if lions want to take the next step then again your offensive line is filthy so maybe it doesn't matter if you get some actual talented hands receivers instead of body catch guys

You need to look at the stats Brock put up his stats being almost bottom of the league in attempts if he just averaged out up what he did over the season he probably breaks the record for passing yards in a season its actually insane he had a historical season and yet somehow because the MVP is apparently a week to week award plus he didn't even play week 17 so he did it in a 16 season just like all the other 49er QBs whose record he broke for yards in a season with less attempts than all of them

What more do you want? You have an all pro TE, Aman Ra St Brown, a good receiving RB, 2 good RBs, a hell of a runstop defense. What they need is pass defense. They played a hell of a game, but not when it mattered, in the second half. Our D clamped in the 2nd half. And our last pick QB played better than your number 1 pick QB. Any given Sunday kid. It dont matter about stars on a roster. What matters is who wants it more and who can perform under pressure. Gybbs folded under that pressure and thats what turned it around. SF stepped it up 2nd half. KC cant run against us like Detroit was. And KC is not as physical as Detroit. The 2 DEs are gonna pressure Mahomes and that KC o-line is gonna fail. Only thing im a little worried about is our DBs. But as long as they play tight, the pressure will help them.

This was the best game we could've possibly had for the championship. We had absolutely no answers in the first half, I can't wait to see how the Lions do next season. I'm glad they've entered the big conversation now.

Time of Possession, the fumble, and Purdy's 2nd half play were the difference. It is not off to say the Lions played a better game - in the first half. But the downfall started after the 2nd quarter "wave to the fans" by CJGJ. That guy cursed the Lions.

Respect to the Lions ...young boys got heart. But if I'm honest they weren't ready for 60 minutes with some vets including the coach! #8 Renolds dropped 2 get his ass in front of the JUGS machine its bright lights time to show up he on the side lines smiling after dropping the first one #26 Gibbs carries the ball loose our Def Cord Wilks said that's the word on him. Dan didn't respect us and spent most his time looking to dominate but he should've tried dominating the scoreboard, rookie coach shit. People finding out Brock is like that ... like a white Russel Wilson w/ them scrambles and we gone roll with him. Salute to yall Lions nothing but respect!

HHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! the hate is real. Someone on ESPN pointed this out, Brock is a real life underdog story, that no one is rooting for. Last pick in the draft, 3rd string QB that should have never gotten the light of day on an NFL field, suddenly takes America by storm. Leading his team towards the playoffs. Meanwhile he doesn't get credit for his play (system player, game manager), he gets all the blame when they are performing poorly, and he is overshadowed by his teammates and always has to "prove" himself... as if he hasn't by now. He's not Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, Joe Burrows, or Jalen Hurts.... HE'S BETTER!!!!! He has more wins in less playoff games than everyone on that list. And I give mad respect to Detroit. Hard fought game, they meant business this whole year, and made their city proud, but Brock is now... BROCK, give him the respect its needed.

Hey man, I know your feels all too well. Detroit played their hearts out and almost went to the super bowl. They have a good team, and they will probably be in the playoffs again next year. GG Detroit. Thank you for your content so far this season.

I am a 49ers fan and although I am happy we won, I felt bad for Detriot fans. Although Dan did a great job this season, and part of why Lions made it this far was due to his aggressive calls, I think in an NFC Championship game he needed to have a different mindset. At least one of the 4th downs should have been a FG. Sorry to say that I think your coach lost this one for you. You guys played a hell of a game and had a hell of a season. Congrats. Hope we get to meet each other many times over the next few years.
