Fuck that! All the bullshit I heard from Detroit fans all week leading up to the game made the victory that much sweeter. Next time don’t go for it on 4th down when you have the chance to tie.
Niners fan, I felt your pain through this whole video. We've been through it before. Absolutely heartbreaking season endings. To hopefully make things better, at least know this. Your Lions made it to an NFCCG before the Cowboys have in the past 29 years, your team is trending in the right direction with still a very loveable HC, this game will harden and sharpen your team and give valuable experience. In order to succeed, you have to experience failure because it alone is the greatest teacher. Wishing you guys luck next year 🤙
BS. The Niners have been to more Championship games than any team, lol. You have NEVER been through what Lions fans have went through, lol. What a silly statement not based in reality. What happened to you idiot millennials that believe an idiotic narrative more than reality?
I was actually pretty calm very disappointed but knew there was the 2nd half to go with us receiving the ball to start also mightve helped that I drank massive amounts of alcohol
Same. 49ers fan. Was rooting for the Lions all season (up until the NFC championship game, obviously). Great team, great coach. Nothing to hang your head over, gonna be a strong contender. Man that Detroit 1st half was amazing.
‘9er fan here. You’re a good Sport. The Lions will be Contenders next year for sure. I am a life long ‘9er fan and I was 2O when they won their first Super Bowl game… before that 🫣? LOSERS😢 You guys will be fine with ‘Riverboat Gamblin’ Dan’ (Or whatever his name is) 😂
You might be the best Lions fan I've seen yet. Mad respect to you. Your team played a helluva game man. Nothing to be upset about considering they had my team on the ropes. Finishing big games comes with experience and this Lions team only gets better. GL next season my friend
What game were you watching? The Lions rolled over in the second half, it’s scripted. No doubt the 49ers did the same in the first. Who the better team is was impossible to tell from that absurdity. A NFC championship game between the 2 of the best teams in the NFC. Give me a break. The Panthers vs the Commanders would have been played better w/o any scripting.
Everybody keeps talking about the Aiyuk catch should have been a pick. It was defensive PI anyway. They picked up the flag but if he doesn't make that catch, that penalty stands.
@@dookies2332 No, the team who was fouled gets the to accept or delcine the penalty. Since he caught it, they reject the penalty and it stays a catch. Had the ball been intercepted or dropped, then the 49ers would have accepted the penalty.
49ers fan here. I highly assure you I was a nervous wreck this entire game and basically went thru all of this myself including: Yelling at the TV Scaring my dogs throwing my 49ers hat Stopped watching all together I hate when my team puts me thru the ringer. Cheers to a GG
Another Nine fan here. Great video. The way you felt in the 2nd half was the way I felt in the first half. I thought it could be over in the first half. The Lions are good and it was an exciting season. That’s all you can ask for. I always say, “would you rather watch your crappy team all year with no hope, with no chance to get in the playoffs, or would you rather watch your good team make it to the playoffs only to get knocked out?” I prefer to have an exciting team all day long. It just makes for an exciting full season. Anything more is a bonus. The Lions will be back. Your team has a great coach and weapons all over the field. They will only get better. You’ve got all the pieces. Side note: I played football in high school and junior college with Jared Goff’s dad. I’m from Marin County, California, where Jared is from. Keep producing those great videos my man. I like the niche you have created; “One fan’s complete game reaction and breakdown.” You have a good vibe too. All the best to the Lions. I’ll be rooting for them, except when they play the 49ers. 👊🏼
As a 49ers fan, I was watching the beginning of the vid and just excited that you were excited. I'm sure being a Lions fan has been really tough the past several years/decades. For a split second I even forgot I was rooting against the Lions That being said, Niners fans have been through a fair share of heartbreak, and we feel for you in this game. But heartbreak makes the joys that much stronger. Lions have an ULTRA bright future, and wishing you guys all the best next season.
It's absurd to complain about you feeling your emotions! I'm a Niners fan and was feeling that way in the first half. Good luck next year. They put in that work... got a chance.
i was pissed off in the first half, mainly at steve wilks because the defense looked exactly like vikings/bengals game. like why does he have to play this midwest teams this way? keeping everyone wide open like that. luckily second half they tightened it up. i bet shanahan yelled at him. i dont think wilks is going to be around next season he is a PROBLEM.
My brother. I’m born & raised in SF. Life long Niner fan, and my heart breaks for you watching that reaction. Head up, there’s a lot to be excited about with your Lions.
Dude, that was awesome to watch you. I am die hard niners fan and I was you in the first half. I was cursing like a maniac in Vegas at a sports bar. Lions fans giving me crap. I went to my room at half and regrouped. came back to our table at the bar and told my table "you are about to watch the biggest comeback in NFC championship history". They all laughed and I was kidding while trying to make myself feel better. I lost my voice that game and winked at a few lions fans that were chirping at me. That said, you guys had a great season, big Goff fan and you'll be back. Hang in there and thanks for the share. At least you won't be panicking like me during the Super Bowl against Mahomes and co.
Hey Bud, I was right there with you. My dad, who has been passed for 21 years now, bought season tickets when the Lions moved from Tiger Stadium to the Silverdome in 1975. We had them for about 12 years or so. Saw all the Billy Sims and Barry Sanders years. I have always said I wanted to see the Lions win a Super Bowl before I die, but there have been more than a few that I've known who said that who aren't with us any longer, including my dad. I'm 58 now, so I have a few more years to see if the Lions can pull it off or not... but these next few coming years will probably be their best shot. 🤞Gooooo LIONS! (Next year)
I am a 49ers fan and although I am happy we won, I felt bad for Detriot fans. Although Dan did a great job this season, and part of why Lions made it this far was due to his aggressive calls, I think in an NFC Championship game he needed to have a different mindset. At least one of the 4th downs should have been a FG. Sorry to say that I think your coach lost this one for you. You guys played a hell of a game and had a hell of a season. Congrats. Hope we get to meet each other many times over the next few years.
I appreciate it! You’re absolutely right Dan made some questionable calls in that game, and if we make those 4th downs we win, and if we didn’t we lose. But like you said his aggressiveness got us there in the first place. I’m not worried that we’ll be back!
@@jodimayer225on the other side of the coin, our coach, Wilkes, almost lost it for us. He wasn’t changing and reacting to the game in real time.. that vanilla zone defense was getting shredded. I’m pretty sure Kyle got a bit more involved defensively speaking, letting him know that he HAD to switch it up for the second half. And tbf, he did, there was that zone disguise that prevented one of those 4th down conversions. And used more man coverage. Thing is, he can’t wait a whole half to make those types of changes against KC.
@@jodimayer225Dan didn't drop those passes that hit the receivers' hands. Nor did he fumble the ball that gave 49ers the possession to tie the game. I'm a 9ers fan, but that coach gave them great chances to close the game out but they didn't finish the job.
Niner girl here. I loved watching your video and the honesty of your emotions, and yes, we’ve been through the heartbreak as well. Loved seeing the Lions get this far this year and would have rooted for you in the Super Bowl even if the 49ers lost the Divisional Championship. Best of luck next year! 🏈🏈🏈
Niner fan here. But I had to subscribe, bro. You're an amazing fan, and I felt your pain. You guys have a great team, and ya'll will be back. The Lions are tough, and you should be proud of them guys.
I feel for you man. As a Viking's fan, can understand very well the heartbreak losing the NFC Championship game. Kudos to you for being level-headed. Normally I would have been pulling for NFC North team, but I watched Brock Purdy 4 years playing at Iowa State as a season ticket holder. Had to cheer for my man Purdy! Lion's will be tough next year.
Man I clicked on this video planning to laugh and rub it in, but you seem like a genuinely passionate and respectful fan (having the dog also doesn't hurt). My girlfriend is a Detroit lifer and was not nearly as kind during the game lol. Better luck next year brother. I'll be rooting for you guys as long as niners aren't on the other side of the field.
Big respect for posting this & allowing us to get your reaction. Great game. You have a great team moving forward. I’m sure we’ll see you guys again. -Niners fan
With all due respect, this may very well be the most perfect video ever posted. If it weren't so authentic, one would think this content was born out of an exemplary script and consummate acting. And your lines are the perfect lines delivered at the perfect moment, man!
Niners fan here. Great job with your edit and your honesty. We've been there too, and it really does suck. The best part about playing the Lions, was that every Niner fan I know, would have been proud to root for the Lions if we lost. Your guys will be back.
As many Niner fans have said below, we have been in your seat. I thought you handled it well. You have a really good young team and I expect your Lions will be in the playoffs for several years to come.
You’re a true fan If it were any other team than the niners, I would have been rooting for the lions This lions team is just getting started, young talented and now adding experience. They’re gonna be a force in the foreseeable future
49er fan here. I really enjoyed your video. You don't know how many 49er fans were also stressed out thinking we were going to lose, like me. So keep the faith, brother. You'll get us next year!
Dude. That was one entertaining video. I was laughing and I was crying. In the end, mad respect for you. Way to hold your head high and look to the future. I’ll be rooting the lions next year except when they play the Niners. Keep it real.
49er fan here. I have nothing but respect for the Lions and their fans, believe me we have been where you are and you guys have a great team. Y'all acted with class for the most part and had y'all won I'd have cheered for y'all to win it all. That said you had a great season and look forward to facing you again.
Thanks for creating and posting this very honest video. Great closing scene and putting your whole season and history into prospective. No matter how you slice it, you had a great season. I’m a Niner fan. Believe me, I would have rather lost like you guys did rather than how we lost the NFC championship last year. Best of luck next year.
As a Niners fan, I have to say I felt for you. In the end, you took your loss with class and gave credit where it was due. You're a great Detroit fan and I will be watching them and wishing them well, next season,, until we meet in the playoffs, again. Both our teams will be there again and you'll get your chance.
Big Niners fan also, I remember being so happy we came back, but I saw the Lions fans upset and sad in the stands and it reminded me of all my Cubs fandom and how hard these losses can really hit you. Props for loving your team and supporting them through good and bad. I’ll always root for the Niners first, but I’m hoping you all get the chance to go further in future years!
Right on man! As a niners fan since 81 it was awesome to see the lions on our level and kicking our ass for half the game. I'm proud of you guys and now we all know that da lions gon be in it for a while
Aye my guy, as a Niner fan still much respect. Yall aint the same Lions team as u once were...yall will be in a superbowl sooner rather than later. Keep yo head up! Stay faithful. 🙌
US 49ers fan feel your pain and respect to you for posting this tough loss but your team had us sweating the whole game made us earn our way to the super bowl GGs
Im a 49ers fan since the early 70's Been through successful seasons and heartbreaks too. I feel your pain and I have acted way less mature than you did in this video even though I'm old. Hang in, man. Your fan base is awesome and the Lions will be good for several years to come.
Wow, mad respect for you. I have felt that pain before and many times over the years. I will say this, during those moments when you were cheering your Lion's performance, I was doing the exact opposite. But hang in there, Niners fans are called the Faithful and that is what you have shown. Your team is hard core and I am sure that they will be strong contenders in upcoming seasons. Thanks for sharing your reaction and this video. Yup, I am a 49ers Faithful..
I'm a lifelong 49ers fan and my best friend who I met in college is from Detroit. I honestly felt badly when the Lions lost, which is odd. Y'all will be back!
Oh Wow. Let me just tell you, I admire you and I give you all my respect for being the most amazing fan I’ve ever see. You should the the MVFE (Most Valuable Fan Ever)
Props my friend. Great video. From a die hard Niner fan's perspective. I went through those exact same emotions in reverse. Lions going to be a tough team for a while!
"This is the MOST DETROIT LIONS PLAY!" You hung in there like a good fan and this Niners fan wishes you best. You have a great team to follow for the next few years.
not the point of the video but so proud to see all my fellow niner fans sending you love and good vibes, makes me proud to be a niner fan. Can't wait to see the lions right back there next year!
Niner fan here....totally feel you dude! Lions are going to around for awhile. Your coach takes gambles, and that's what got the Lions to this point. Your team is stacked, and they are young! Keep the faith!
Seahawks fan here. I have to give you credit for posting this. The way the game was going at halftime, I was sure they had it. But this is just the start for the Lions!
As a Niner fan, seeing your raw reaction brings home that 31 teams end up feeling crappy. I do want the Lions to do well next year. I wanted Barry Sanders to get a championship. The guy deserved it. Same with Calvin Johnson. Best of luck to the Lions next year!
Niner fan here , dude, great footage. You guys ran it up our you know what like never seen before . As you said, I take the 3, but Campbell called good plays (or Benny), gotta make the catch. I do believe lions will be right bac and BETTER. As a 9er, we’ve been on the wrong side of these since 94, so I feel your pain. But better to love and lose than to never love at all. But let me go thru them. Since 94(our last Super Bowl) lost to packers in 95 div, and 96, 97 championship, 98 div. Then we lost to GB again in 01, Tampa in 02, didn’t get bac until 2011, KWilliams fumble in championship, 12 lost to ravens in the Super Bowl, then Seahawks in the championship. All 3 games we should’ve won, and refs contributed on big plays. 11 Bradshaw no fumble call, 12 no PI on Crabtree, 13 there’s a you tube about all the bad calls…think I’m done? Let’s go to Shanny. 19 lose to Mahomes, we were up 20-10 w 6:50 left. Jimmy lost us that game but no holding call on Bosa getting tackled. Easiest call of all the missed calls. 2021 tartt drops the game sealing pic. 2022 Purdy got his shoulder torn v eagles, a team we would’ve beat. Nice trip down memory lane. Hope that helped lol Anyways good luck and we’ll see you next year .
Niners fan here. Felt your pain on many levels. I really do wish to see the Lions win a Super Bowl in the near future with this core. I’m a fan now and am glad to call this my 2nd favorite team in the NFL.
From another 49ers fan - The Detroit Lions are clearly a team to be reckoned with, and they performed well enough this season to make it to the NFC championship… that says a lot! Hang in there Lions fans… you and your team will get there. 👍👍
I SO feel for you. As a niner fan, I've been there many times. But know this, the Lions looked scary this season, and i'm not looking forward to playing them next year.
Niners fan here! I feel your pain. For real. I would of had a much bigger tantrum. You did fine. Lions did good this year. Always next year. Go Niners!
Hey man as a 9ers fan I absolutely feel your pain. Last NFC game we had no quarterbacks (all injured) and never had a chance. It was so brutal. Before that 9ers got to a superbowl only to fall apart the second half. Again, brutal. But we as football fans stay loyal through the good and the bad. Lions got a good team now next year I think they will be solid. 👊🏻
You could just feel the game slipping away. As soon as Aiyuk caught that pass I knew it was over. The Lions choked there’s no other way to put it. The crowd played a big part too
We’ve lost in the NFC Championship game two years in a row we know the pain of losing in that game BUT y’all have a young and very well built team. Keep faith in them y’all will be back.
As a niner fan, I fell your pain. We been on the receiving end of games like this before. You guys got a good core, you’ll be contending for the next few years. Mainly just laughing at your dog just layed up there on the couch with his feet in the air lol
Niner fan here, i watched the game live and believe me the Lions put up a hell of a game. they are definitely super bowl contenders and will be back for vengeance. much respect to the Lions Organization.
Yo, good game to those Lions as a Niners fan. That first half had me seriously debating swapping teams to the Lions, you guys played some fantastic football. I honestly believe that that catch by Aiyuk shifted momentum all the way to the Niners, and not kicking the field goals cost you guys the game. Keep your head up though, at this rate I won’t be surprised to see the Lions back in the playoffs as division champions.
Hey mate, thought you held it together quite well. I'm a Niners fan and i was freaking out in the first half. Great season by Lions and bright future ahead. Good luck next year but not against the Niners of course.😀
9er fan - I've watched alot of these reactions and I must say, yours was the most painful. I remember that pain and know how you feel. Lions actually have a good young team, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see them here again next year. Keep your head up. 9erfaithful
Niners fan here, I am 54 years old and I had witness all the highs and lows from Joe Montana to Steve Young, and all the other quarterbacks. Lions are a very good team and they will figure it out. They will be a force in the future. Love to see a rematch next year.
It happens brother I've been a 49ers fan since 1990 seen the good and the bad. The Lions will be contenders for many many years to come. Nothing to be ashamed of they played one hell of a game and had a great season..
I know how the Detroit Lions Fans feel I have been a 49ers fan since I was 10 or 11 years old and that was in 1965 I have seen the 49ers go through some tough times I will say this to the Lions fans keep your heads up because it's going too get better for the Detroit Lions maybe in two years the Lions will go too the Superbowl and win the Superbowl because the Fans of Detroit deserves a World Championship
Tough loss bro. Lions trajectory is looking great man. I know this won't be the last time this matchup happens. You might get us next year. Keeping your OC was major. He's a offensive genius. And now your young players have post season exp. 49ers fans respect the game the lions played. See you next year.
I'm a 9ers fan and I gotta say I felt the pain that came from your reaction. We have had games ripped from us but it's what keeps us going. Lions are hot and will stay near the top. Chin up bro
Was at this great game and Niner faithful for years. The Lions fans from Michigan are good fans, and decent and likeable people. I hope you guys win it all but not at our expense. Peace out.
Dude, loved your video. These aren't the same 'ol Lions. You guys are here to stay as contenders and winning the NFC north year after year. Packers may be your biggest threat.
The agony of defeat sucks. As a back in the day John Brody fan (you may be too young to know him) this team has been a big part of my heart. Having said that I’ve cheered on the Lions throughout this past season and it was great to see that team finally come together. I would have routed them on to win the Super Bowl if that was their fate. They’ll still be a strong contender next season. Keep the faith!
Niner Fan here. Absolutely, thought the Lions did a fantastic job this season. If we didn't make it I would have definitely rooted the Lions to victory Superbowl 58.
9er fan, UCLA fan (basketball vs Gonzaga) and an Angels fan and man do I ever relate to this video. Haven’t had a championship since HS and I’m 40 now. Stay faithful stay strong. Lions are good for years to come. You handled it better than I have. Going to be a fun battle for years to come. But I do agree with you take kick the FG and make it a 3 score game.
As a Niners fan I can tell you I felt every single one of your emotions and in the same game too. That first half was brutal for us, saw an entire season completely slip in the worse way. The passion you showed and shared with us all on this video is the reason why we love the sport.
I'm also a life long Niner fan since 1981 season and the catch in NFC championship game Jan '82 I feel your frustration, we've been there the 10 plus years going back to Harbaugh Superbowl and then just more recently losing to the Chiefs in SB after being up, and then last year losing to the Eagles and Rams before that. I agree the Lions are good and will be competitive for years to come. I loved watching Barry Sanders run the ball, pure excitement and entertainment, and one of my all-time favorite players. Dan Campbell is doing a great job in Detroit, Niner fans like him a lot, no hatred towards Lions at all, and we're rooting for his success. Thank you for sharing your video experience and best to you. I look forward to seeing the Lions in Superbowl one day soon.
I feel for you, my oldest brother is a lions fan, he lives in Michigan, but I am so happy my 49ERS are going to the super bowl. Time to pull the plug on KANSAS CITY. Lions will be contenders for many years, they are a young team with good talent.
Niners fan, this was a hell of a game. Detroit played their hearts out, much respect to them. We’ve dealt with this kind of loss, it stings like a mf. Just know that your Lions are set up for a good run in the coming years, stay strong and know victory awaits. If they had won, I would be flying Lions in the Super Bowl. Respect
Lifelong Niner fan here it’s tough to watch your team go down, especially after the performance you put on in the first half, but these are the brakes you guys got a hell of a squad and I would not be surprised if I see you in the playoffs next year
