The cruise excursion I took in Iceland literally stunk! It's another day on my Norwegian Prima cruise and today we visit Akureyri, the second most populous city in Iceland. My Norwegian Prima cruise took us to multiple Iceland ports, but I think this one was my favorite. We left Akureyri on a bus and ventured out to see geothermal vents, lava fields, and amazing waterfalls. The beauty of Iceland was so evident in Akureyri. Sailing with Norwegian Cruise Line to Iceland was an amazing experience. After I was back onboard Norwegian Prima I dined at Palomar, one of the specialty restaurants onboard Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.

I love the handpan music you used in this video, goes beautifully with the austere and epic scenery of Iceland. It's really impressive that people have been living on that unforgiving island for over 1,000 years.

I took this tour last year and found it so fascinating. Unfortunately, when we went the geothermal area and lava rock park had tons of little flying gnats everywhere. Thankfully, I had seen a video warning about this and had brought a net head covering. I may have looked stupid, but so thankful I had that! Thanks for posting this so I could re-live this tour.

Zach, I'm booked on a similar/reverse itinerary next summer (also on the Prima), so I'm paying close attention to your vlogs - I love your choice of excursions! I was wondering if the sulfur smell stayed in your outerwear when you returned to the ship. I'm thinking that I may want to bring something which I can quickly rinse when I return to the ship (or send to the laundry). Thanks!!!

Hey Zach, your video work is exceptional! Thanks for resisting becoming a "talking head". We used to go to Banff a lot when we lived in Calgary and to be honest, we're not fans of hot springs sulphur smells. Keep up the great work! Will you be on Celebrity again soon?

Thanks for always presenting your travels with such great information about each location. You do that so well. We took a tour that visited the same stops that yours did, and I didn't learn nearly the amount you did on the first two stops. Yup, that geothermal area was stinky as all get-out! Pretty cool, and since you enjoyed the tour, I HAVE TO encourage you to PLEASE take a trip to Yellowstone (and maybe Grand Teton). I really think you'd love that place as well. Great video, and I look forward to the Norway ones!
