NOOOOOO!!!!.... you took a rusted but savable spanner & destroyed it... In electrolysis the +ve red terminal is the SACRIFICIAL ANODE that gets destroyed (hence the pock marks/ scabby cheese finish at the end). The -ve Black terminal is the one that gets the rust removed from it. You had things the wrong way around.. You rusted the spanner to hell then derusted it with the wire brush. Then heaven knows what is going to happen to the temper on the spanner after you uncontrolled heat & quenched it. This is one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long while & classes alongside the App to measure how high you could throw your i-phone.
