Hailing from Asansol and having lived across Dehradun, Delhi and then Mumbai, Rana pursued Actuaries and worked for some of the largest firms in the world. However, as he reflected on his career path, he realised that he wanted to diversify and learn more skills, and open up new career opportunities.
An MBA would help him achieve that goal.
However, Rana faced several challenges during this journey: an average GMAT score for Indian candidates (710), a demanding professional life, and a tier-two undergraduate university.
Faced with an ‘ocean of information’ to wade through, he reached out to Piyush who broke down the entire situation for him step-by-step, busted some misconceptions, and laid out his options in the open. Through the detailed 8-step application prep process, he brought structure to Rana’s MBA journey. Rana attests, “I found a mentor, cheerleader, friend, and a coach in Piyush!”
The results were incredible, and Rana made it to ISB and NUS! In a whirlwind turn of events, he wrote to NUS for a scholarship and was rewarded nearly one-fourth of his tuition fee as a waiver.
