Anurag, those straps of bag pack is called "Fittah/pat-tih/bandh" in hindi..It's not called "Tahnih" (which mean stem not strap in english).

So glad to see you’ve taught Hindi to your children. Some of my family members who’ve gone out of India, haven’t taught Hindi to their children, even though both husband and wife are Indian. I feel saddened and sick at the same time that they’re ashamed of their own language. You’ve made us all proud.🙂
