This Invincible Arcstrider Build DESTROYS Endgame [Destiny 2 Arc Hunter Build] 

The first version of this build was what launched my channel last year, so this build will always be extra special to me. It seems that I've been known more as the Stasis guy recently, but those of you who have been here from the beginning know that this is where it all started. Hope you enjoy the Lightfall-evolved version of the build!

Your original arc hunter build changed the way I played destiny, thought about builds and hunter, and made me fall back in love with the game. Thanks for all you do man, there is no one more excited than me when you post new builds.

Was low-key waiting for this. Used your old arc strider build and your guides last season to solo flawless Pit of Heresy, Shattered Throne and Prophecy. Solo'ed Duality as well, but I died to Caiatl once, so have to try that one this season again, as well as getting the others done.

You made this build the first time, around the time I was getting into Destiny. I was mostly a solo player and still kind of am but, thanks to you I’ve solo flawlessed every dungeon and a few master nightfalls. I would consider you my “Destiny Mentor”. You taught me how to excel in this game when I was brand new and now I teach new lights in my clan and I’ll always appreciate you for that. Keep up the great work my man.

Huh, I've been waiting for your take on the updated build. You are the singular reason I have ever considered building out my Hunter, with how little use I found for them in PvE before that. As a Titan at heart who misses his melee centric approaches, this build more than tides me over the recent synthoglaive nerf.

Since arc 2.0 I’ve been using a similar build. Made this Warlock main really enjoy the Hunter class. It’s also very satisfying to run around punching stuff and getting your energy right back 😩

Yes! I was hoping for a lightfall update for this build. I needed some help with my mod setup. Still my go-to for my hunter!

Ever since season of Plunder and your original Arcstrider video I’ve been subbed, and I’ve also run a personalized variant of it ever since. Day one Lightfall I scrambled to reconstruct the build and found it only got stronger. However… thing I’d like to point out is that Spark of Haste grants a bonus of THIRTY to the upper three stats for just sprinting. So, if you find yourself short on stats, Haste could be a good flex slot fragment.

a variation to this is to ignore your grenade and use spark of haste to increase all three of your top stats by 30 and run both amplitude and feedback.

Thanks for the update build. I loved the original one and had some success with it, but with changes to resilience and mod system, I found doing solo dungeons with the new one more difficult. Unfortunately now you have to play better and more careful, because the build won't do it for you, that sucks :P

In the grand scheme of things I dont really know how optimal it is but I feel that I must say that Conditional Finality, the RoN exotic shotgun, slots in really well here. You're trading melee damage from one-two punch for pretty great utitlity in the form of strong cc from being able to freeze and shatter any threatening target that isnt a boss level enemy to then being able to ignite them for some decent damage and killing nearby trash. Both Shattering and Ignitions stun unstoppable champions as well. Using this shotgun alongside a crafted ikelos smg with voltshot with this build has felt like an absolute dream. I also use a crafted commemoration with repulsor brace and volatile flow from the artifact as LMGs are really good this season and the void overshield is nice for suvivability. Put simply, not only would you have access to 4/5 sublclass verbs at your command: Freeze,Ignite,Jolt,Volatile. But you'd also have all 3 champion types covered: Shotgun stuns with ignite and shatter, Jolt on its own stuns overload champs alongside an smg. and a void lmg can deal with barrier champions with volatile rounds and in the same breath, you've got both close range and long range engagements covered. Sorry this got to be so long but I cannot help but gush over how this combination has felt for me especially with the build provided in the video. Truly the first setup that has clicked with me on such a level that I had to just share. Regardless, I wish nothing but goodluck to all those chasing the raid shotgun!

I love the arcstrider, I'm going to try this build as I already have close to 100 resilience and the equipment to make it work

Ah, I've used this build since before I subscribed. As for an exotic, I recommend using Wish Ender! Infinite ammo + intrinsic Antibarrier makes you an all-around Champion slayer. + It's a long-range weapon. For my heavy, I just use Hothead but tbh you could also use linears or whatever else you want.

Did all Day1 encounters and every content with that build, still working fine. Just switching for Heavy Finder/Scout +Head-On on helmet Surge on boots if needed with Dilation on cap. For champions, specially unstoppable using Leviathian breath is a good option since everything else is easy to cover and still good weapon to dps boss.

I never played shadow keep (I'm a new player) and never wanted to, but I've been running this build without the assassin's cowl and it's still pretty OP. This vid may have given me just a bit of nudge to finish that campaign to get it.

try using Heartshadow sword with this so that you can use the heavy attack while invisible on bosses or something big to weaken them and stay invisible also giving you a speed buff when invisible and wielding the sword ( though it doesnt stack with amplified )

As someone who uses to love the Liar’s Handshake build it’s really sad that it doesn’t work anymore.

When lightfall dropped, i personally updated your old arc build focussing more on survivability and not grenades. I barely use nades with this build. Hence, I use Better Already leg armor mod, which has saved me a couple of times and I use finisher mods in my class item to fully restore HP when we're in a dicy situation. Other than that, I also focus on heavy weapons, as those are very important for dealing with bosses. So, I use heavy ammo finder mods and weapon surge mods, which can also help boost one-two punch just a lil bit more. Also, are you sure 2x Heavy Handed has any benefit? I've noticed with just 1, you can still keep making orbs with every powered melee punch.

Holy crap, 25k now. I found the OG when you were at a couple hundred. I of course built the original when it debuded and really never took it off until post LF campaign (it took me through the entire story). I'm having fun with hanging stuff up rn and Arc is out of pocket until S21 but still this is very strong. Looking forward to your take on both the Grapple and Suspend Hunter. That's coming, right...

I personally did not like hunter before but now It’s so much more fun and I even completed my first solo lost sectors on hunter with it and my warlock sits in the corner now and cries 🤣 One question I have is, what is the exact gameloop for dealing with champions ? Clearing the adds besides them first and then dodge shotty punch punch ? I have some trouble with barrier champions

You can use same build with Liar's Handshake for more dps but without invisibility, it's perfect for gambit (last time more than 50k dps to boss), same dungeons etc is really cool :)

i went in a tried to remake my assassin's cowl build from last season, and it just felt so...lacking? it essentially does the same thing still, but less effectively since, like you stated, the charged with light and well mods that supported melee abilities are now gone :( that and the seasonal artifact just doesn't promote using arc sub-classes at all. i'll probably come back and revisit the assassin's cowl builds later on, hopefully when they bring back the melee focused mods. until then i'm probably vaulting this exotic, which is sad because i really loved these builds.

Do you really need so much mobility or would it be better to put those points into another stat? I know recovery isn't very useful for his build as well, but I've had assassin cowl fail to proc so many times that it may be a bit more useful.

Is the damage comparison vs liars still accurate with the 12 punch nerf?

I never took off liars handshake pre-lightfall. This is a great build for uber end game stuff, but I think for the every day mundane activity liars is still better. As long as I keep hitting punches I can out heal any boss

There's no -15 cap on Legendary Exotic quest, just like lost sectors. So if you were 1820, that's -10 below the content light level. (Not a massive difference, but worth mentioning). I'm seeing tons of people confused and not understanding that the -15/-20/-25 modifiers only applies to certain type of content like NFs.

Man, great to see non-titans succeeding so well with end-game-viable punch builds. Maybe someday my punchman will shine again without instantly getting nerfed or having to solely rely on throwing hammers. Seriously though, this hunter build slaps.
