The last scammer I talked to they told me they were going to send the cops to arrest me. I told them I have a neighbor that is a cop and I would get him and he could arrest me. Well that didn't go over well so I said ok they could make the call and I would wait for them to show up. That didn't work for them either I keep them on the phone for over an hour. I wish I had recorded it.
The funniest one I heard was from someone who already knew it was a scam, but they still played along and said they were contacting their lawyer for help. The scammer told them not to tell anyone, to just keep it between the two of them. Okay, so I'm in legal trouble but I am not to tell a lawyer? Gotcha.
I've heard them do that many times. Sometimes they'll say it's "highly confidential" & you can't tell anyone. If you tell your lawyer, then you must fight the case in the courthouse, or If you tell your wife, we would have to get her arrested, etc & so on. A scambaiter named "Pappamonkey" made a cool video. He called the IRS scammers & they wanted his lawyer's info, bla bal bla. Then he called the scammers back pretending to be a female lawyer (using voice changing software) who is representing Pappa. The IRS scammers told the lawyer that SHE owes taxes & there is a lawsuit against HER, too. @@eachandeverything9932 He might have been the one that used a computer program to blow up their phone. I just keep sending them faxes, because, since it's a voice line it won't go through.
I get these calls. They’re always finding my car in Texas full of drugs and money. I ask them, “So, you don’t care about the dismembered bodies in the trunk?” 🤪
I had one leave me a message and when I called back I was planning on wasting their time. But turned out to be uneventful. The scammer told me to call back tomorrow since he is going to bed.
Several raids had happened in India in various cities like Pune, Delhi, Noida. Unfortunately inspite of such raids, these scammers still operate their scummy business in different district in India. We hope the FBI extradite these scumbags to the US to be tried for fraud and impersonating a Federal agent.
I just found your videos this week and I am so glad! I have been showing them to my grandparents because they have gotten numerous calls just like this. It’s disgusting!! Thank you so much for bringing awareness! You’re awesome 👏🏼
Thank you for posting these videos. I wish there was a way that you could reach more people. My mom is 85.She was in the process of giving all of her information to a scammer who, told her that her grandson was in trouble and needed $10,000 or,he would die.Fortunately, one of her caregivers caught it in time. I gave the number to the local Sheriff with a explanation of what happened. I think I need to have her watch some of your videos to help her understand how they work.
I love Julie’s videos. Today was a super long tiring shift at my understaffed job and I am just recovering from a head cold and this just made my night, thank you!
Julie, your videos really are very helpful!! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to talk to us about this.. so glad you are here for us!!!
LOL it's funny how they keep switching to different operators whenever they encounter a question they can't legitimately answer, seen this in numerous other calls as well where they transfer you to their supervisors when they can't think of a clever way to respond.
I usually tell these scammers that I don't understand what they're saying because their accent is too thick. When I ask to speak with someone without an accent, they hang-up on me.
You are such a joy!!!! SO professional and patient. I sometimes lose it with them. I always tell them to just come arrest me and I'll put out snacks too. They don't like that.
Well … not only elderly … Even younger Just Became the Valuable Citizens of America … i , me , my Sister , we strive to make America a better Country ,We ❤America…. How can i we help to prevent the scam crime? … Thanks ❤
I’d like for someone to say they DID receive a letter from them,& see what they do at that point.Surely they’ve seen the 1,000’s of youtube videos of them being uncovered. They’re LAUGHABLE!!!
This is such a great channel! Critical thinking skills are such an important aspect missing in our education and I’m glad to see that people like you I hoping to pick up the pieces and teach adults how to better protect themselves against scams
There are many videos to be found make comedy capital of these scammers. However, there is NOTHING funny about them whatsoever. They are responsible for destroying the mental health of many many trusting elderly people who are forced by various forms of mental reactions to leave their homes and go into care. It is because they are so successful at doing so that these scammers continue to ply their trade. The whole matter should be a top intergovernmental priority. It is tantamount to social warfare
Please talk about this important issue More ❤❤… we have to protect our Elders and our future .. Me , i have time to help .. To investigate and catch and expose the scammers .Just teach me ❤, encourage .. We wish the best for our ANERCA …… we should live in peace and Love .. How can i serve ? 🙏🏻😜😁🌹💞
I'd like to see you expose a scammer who is allegedly giving away "FREE" home security system. I get this same moron calling me day after day. When will SHE take the hint?
They call my parent's with that same message every single day. It's already been paid for, you just need to claim it! lol. My mom is turning 65 this year so currently she's being absolutely bombarded with calls from Medicare scammers, 20 calls a day or more. I used the scam/robocall blocking feature offered by their cable company and that has reduced the volume slightly, but a lot of them still fall through the cracks.
That's a great idea! We would love to record that call. If you happen to have a phone number for the "free" home security system, could you please send it to us in a message? Thanks!
They will definitely contact you in the mail first. If they are not paid, you receive a letter stating if you don’t pay in 30days that there will be a warrant for your arrest.
I’ve had voicemails left on my brothers home phone number threatening to serve me when I have never lived there. These people are out of their minds. The one time they called and left a VM on my cell phone saying that they were going to serve me on Wednesday or something, whatever day it was wound up being Christmas Day lol.
Nice, I got one of these calls yesterday, they asked for an address, I gave them the address to a JAG office on a random military base, it took them a while, but I think they looked it up, and basically hung up on me
You should call the Student Loan forgiveness people or the car warranty people. I got a call trying to forgive student loans and I've never had student loans.
Thanks for watching Katrina! We would definitely love to call the car warranty scam, but those numbers are hard to find. You can see our student loan forgiveness scam call here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nWgGqxGELes.html
I watch other scambaiters on RU-vid that do this for a living. They have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and are very adept at handling these crooks. You're giving them a run for their money! Very entertaining and effective at wasting their time. Keep up the great work!
What I wonder is don't USA have the IRS info Online? Like in nz IRD has an online account and I can check all my letters and everything there. I would never get a surprise call from IRD, but people still fall for it even here. Heck I don't think I received an actual letter from IRD in ages. It's all online.
I have phone calls, but they leave messages, I don't answer until the third message. Usually they are yelling at me. I act dumb and stupid. Then I give in say I don't have a car. They hang up.
I can't talk right now because I'm dead. They're just lowering my coffin into the ground. Can you call back later when I'll have plenty of time to talk?
I've been hit up by these scammers before either offering me free money, IRS scams and Microsoft repairs. I love messing with them and giving the runaround, but you are my hero. Keep on rockin'
Also, another red flag is, it’s not easy to get in touch with a live agent. You will have to go through several different automation channels to talk to a live representative.
i got a call from the cra in canada here and asked him what a beaver is. he tried to evade the question so i asked him what a loon is and he hung up on me.
Love your videos, I get a lot of these “IRS” scam calls… I play along with them making sure I don’t give any personal information out and it always ends with them hanging up. The funniest thing about your videos is ALL of them, no matter the scam, had an accent. I also get the police scam that says they’re going to come and arrest me and they don’t even know my name, lol.
