WOW this is a bad launch for Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection. No Invert servers are wonky game is bugging out..Streamer mode does not work. Not a good Start. What do you think?

My 2 sons and I are extremely enjoying it. It's great to have them enjoy one of my favourite games in my childhood (BF2) only problem we experienced so far was the game crashed on the ps5 during galactic conquest.

Well this is unfortunate. These were the battlefront games we grew up with and in this poor state right now is not a good sign. Hopefully these problems will get patched immediately but until then I'll pass for the moment for these.

Ooof... This kind of shit makes it more and more clear why Aspyr had the KOTOR remake taken from them. Sounds like a pretty incompetently run studio. Also the 60 GB of storage? That is just baffling for two PS2-era games. That sounds like some really bad optimization or total lack of compression of assets. Seriously, why does Aspyr keep getting hired for anything? Nepotism is the only thing that I feel can explain it. Whoever runs Aspyr must be related or is the spouse or really good friends or whatever of someone in the Embracer leadership.

That menu was what we had on PS2 and XBOX, much better than the boring PC menu. From what I’ve played, BF1 is much smoother and ready to play while BF2 has had more technical problems. Jedi Academy felt ready at launch which is unfortunate nobody plays online on console anymore.

The XL mode impressed me. The amount of bots onscreen do turn any session into the large-scale, chaotic, all-out wars that you can't even experience on the newer Battlefronts!

This is absurd! Inverting controls is literally the first thing I do when I play a new game. Earlier today they have this option and after the patch they don’t? I can’t play like this!

I knew this was a cash grab especially being on Pc and owning these already on Xbox and Steam. I just hope they do not remove the actual classics from stores.

What about singleplayer campaigns and instant action? When i played BF 2 back then all i ever played was single player and i was hoping they at least did that some justice.

I played some of the Campaign and it played fine of course but Most people will get this for 64 player Multiplayer

There's been a widespread problem of the post-mission cutscenes in BF2's campaign not playing for most people (me included). I've seen some comments saying that they worked for them, so I don't know if the issue is only happenjng on certain systems and not others, or if it's just an overall YMMV situation.

Got this on PS5, and there is no option in the menus to invert the Y axis. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but for me, I can't play it with the default settings. Really a bummer.

Boy, oh boy. Am I happy, that I still have the original physical editions of both games here... just need to mod the heck outta them to make them work these days, I'm afraid (yes, I know I could just buy the classic versions from Steam, but why bother, when you have the OG's?).

What’s weird is the infantry is standard up and down, but the starfighter controls in BF1 is inverted. And makes no sense.

This is the biggest post all over the internet right now that the invert setting is not available on the classic collection for this game. It's very odd that the option is not there for inverted players maybe it will be added in at a later stage via a patch Look good though graphically BUT... Not a good start upon release bit of a let down there.

Of course! We all get this but this is 2024 and the game is a remaster not a remake or a new game this should not happen. PERIOD we have to stop letting these types of things happen without raising up and saying something

Where is the option to have inverted controls, cause I can’t find it and can’t play without inverted controls. I shouldn’t have to buy a programmable controller to have inverted controls.

So when people say they’re an inverted player, I assume that means the camera is reversed?? Very strange that they’ve removed the option though. So do you prefer moving the right stick up and the camera goes down? Also, do you play all games with inverted controls, where explicable?? I think the jak and daxter games are inverted locked and I just can’t get on with it, it’s too jarring.

Every Game I play right stick Up = down. Except, Telltale Games I do normal because its a cursor like a mouse and not based on camera movement

seems to be only this PC base thats complaining after complaining, im having such a great time with this game on PS5 and its a cracking nostalgia trip im having 0 faults or issues with it, it is ready for launch as its the same game just a port, hopefully for the people who like inverted they can add in that option.

Console version is a mess too, sound bugs, camera bugs and MP lags. Even the iconic BF1 loading sound is wrong.

Can't invert Y-axis on mouse or controller (originals you can), No crossplay (was advertised, but that advertisement has now been removed), split-screen is limited to 2-player, where originals are 4-player (was 4-player on OG Xbox and via Multi-tap adapter for PS2). Aim-assist is also in original console versions (original PC versions did not have aim-assist, or native controller support). Textures, while sharp, are lazily AI upscaled

Crossplay would have required Aspyr to invest millions into a 3rd party server and account hosting system when they went to the bargaining table with EA and Disney. Crossplay was never advertised for this game only grossgen which is ps4-ps5, PC, XB3-XB4. The port was probably made by 6-8 people in 6-8 months.

It's unbelievable to me that such a simple option has been removed. Got to be honest, your footage is the first gameplay I've seen and it was very underwhelming. Hopefully some timely updates will fix the issues.

Saying 30-40% of players are inverted is a straight up lie lol. I’ve never met a single person that plays that way. You should have that option, sure, but 99% if players won’t notice

@@PrimedSnake The coding is garbage it runs like crap in multi-player the controls are super floaty, the aiming is off compared to the original there are texture issues some cuteness are removed the heros are more op than the original overall this is a cash grab lazy port. For me my game wouldn't let me get past the title screen.

"What a disaster" is not the case. You're just complaining about no inverted controls, which the inverted community is so small, I would NOT say "I don't recommend this". 95% of players are going to disagree with you

I didn't buy it yet, what exactly does it not have? Do people use infantry with inverted controls, and it's not an option? Or is it for vehicles? I only use inverted for flying.

Inverted controls are totally missing from both 1 & 2. This is unacceptable for a game that old and it’s 2024. Unfortunately devs don’t give a crap about the players or they would include this from the start, but I’m finding more and more that do a half ass job on control options and that’s sad.

Oh no my friend, it is most definitely a disaster. Multiplayer is what made people excited about this game. Multiplayer is unplayable. So what do we have? We have a 20 year old game that used to have a great gameplay experience but dated graphics. Now we have unplayable gameplay with better graphics. Be real. One of the worst launches in history and if they don't fix it soon it will be remembered this way forever.

Without inversion this game is Dead on arrival, no cross play, no party system. All things that were in the original game 😂 you guys at aspyre had one job that game is already made just clean it up and sell it 😂
