Did you first adjust the chain at the tight spot? If not, you stretched it and you need to replace it.

I did yes correct! I found the tightest spot in the chain and adjusted it. I even had a buddy sit on the bike and adjust it that manner but no dice. I think the new sag at this angle and height will be slightly more than OEM harley spec. Thank you for watching!

@@John_shepard It depends on the rider and the purpose of why. Initially I wanted chain for mainly aesthetics. I truly enjoy how they look over belt and dont mind the added maintenance every so often to keep it in pristine working conditions. I am starting to explore track days on my cruiser and chain will be a lot easier to fix in the event I snap the chain at the track and can be out for 1-2 sessions and back out after new chain vs having to cancel the rest of the day with the belt. hahaha right?! In the end I told him where I would be and I truly hope he does come out so he can see the difference in pushing the limits vs at the track. A smart rider is always learning. You stop being smart when you think you already know everything. Much appreciate the insight and thank you for your comment Pat! Im looking forward to the cruiser track day! Hopefully we can get the right number of riders on cruisers to get the cruiser only class!

How do I you think mine would do sticking with a belt? Same issues? I’m about to order this custom shock once they send me the invoice tomorrow.

Howdy Andrew! It would probably have some similar features like perhaps appearing to sag a little more so just keep an eye on it. Some sag over spec is better than being too tight. Just remember to have a buddy help so they can sit on the bike your measure when you do so that will help get you a better idea of the sag when youre actually riding the motorcycle! Cheers brutha! If you readjust it enough with that setup, can you get another whole chain out of it? Perpetual chain?

sorta. I still have some room to play with with this chain so it can stretch for some more miles, but have to keep an eye on it since i have this entirely new angle. I plan on buying another chain soon to just have on standby and try setting it up with that slack from the get go with the new chain and keep an eye on it to see if the behavior persists

Does the taller shock put you higher above the fairing?

Yes because the rear of the bike has been lifted so now the fairing sits more level just below my chin! When it was lower it was just below my bottom lip Thank you for watching!

I like your extreme what if situations l hahaha “honey you drove over Connor FXDB” lol bro I had hater on my videos too. I really want to go to chain but I had a brand new chain snap on me on an old bike I had and I walked the bike home on the side walk I had no money for a tow at the time. Idk I have mixed feelings on chain .
