Mr. Douglas! Yes, I thought the same while watching "Revolution." His get-up is very "200X," similar to the Horde Wraiths. I've kitbashed a few Masterverse figures into 200X figures to fill in the gaps that are missing from our 200X MOTU Classics shelves. The Four Horsemen were ahead of their time given that Mattel and Netflix have been taking note of their cues. This is a brilliant representation of Hordak. A brand new look for Hordak while not contradicting our nostalgia because this "feels" so much like Hordak in our collective memories. He's definitely one H-E-Doublehockeysticks of a figure. 🔥🦇🙌
The kitbashing is a great idea! Do you think Mattel will give us Masterverse versions of the 200X line? I was surprised to see the CGI show figures in this line. I still like to think about how maybe one day the Cartoon Collection will show up in the 7" line since we got some of those in the Classics line via Club Grayskull.
@toyboxnostalgia I sure hope so! At least 200x He-Man and Skeletor. Filmation figures in the Masterverse scale would also be cool but it seems they are already doing it with the Princess of Power Masterverse figures. Classics is nothing short of an amazing toyline, but there are some glaring omissions on our Classics shelves with 200X and Club Grayskull. Masterverse continues to get better and better with sculpt and paint deco, so I get excited when I see an opportunity to buy an extra to kitbash and pose with my Classics collection. A lot of the armor and boot designs from Masterverse lends itself so easily to 200X, especially New Eternia. Not sure if that's by design or just coincidental given that the Horsemen were inspired by the details of the vintage artwork and concept art as they were redesigning in the early 2000s. My favorite and most effective kitbash is Mer-Man. If you look at the shin guards and Loincloth of the 1st Revelation Mer-Man, it is almost identical in color and sculpt to the 200X figure. Swap the head with L.O.P. Origins Mer-Man, and swap the armor with the dark gold Mer-Man armor given to us in the Classics Weapons Pak... and boom, instant 7-inch 200X Mer-Man. 😃
@@pop_motu_75 That's awesome! 😎 I've never kitbashed a Masterverse Action Figure before and never took one apart (aside from the intended head/hands swapping). Is it difficult to get them apart? That Mer-Man setup sounds awesome. Do you have pics online?
JA!! I agree with you on that! 🐇 I like the staff a lot, esp the paint color that looks like steel, but longer would've been much better. It's pretty rigid. So, if it /were/ longer it wouldn't curve or curl like the staffs for the Horde Wraiths from Classics.
