There should be a Medical Facility and a small ship pad at each Race Track in the PU. This would make it so it's not such a pain when you crash during a race. Just make it so each race track has a small facility next to it with race related shops, a medical facility and a couple of small ship spawning pads. This would solve all the issues with crashing during races and stay within what you'd expect to see at a professional race track. EDIT: It could even have a large viewing area with betting windows like at Grim Hex. It would make the Race Tracks more than just a one off thing you do once in a while it would make them another great meeting and gathering place for players in the verse.
You can build your own mini-version of that with a Carrack or 890j - set your respawn to the medbed and load up the ship with replacement racing vehicles. Hopefully we can see some more options for this "racing team"-style gameplay with engineering/repair, refueling and other support tasks.
The Star Runner's always looked like that. It's been my favorite ship since it was released. Hoping for a new entry and less doors sometime in the future!
I personally don't want another entry, from a defensive stand point. that creates 1 more area that i'd have to defend. the main current entry can be a kill box if done right, and if it fails then i have no qualms about being pirated at that time. I just wish the current doors open just a bit earlier than they currently do
@@ledgefisher8498 Sorry but they should design the ships from a functional ship standpoint and that is it. Designing ships for FPS combat is what lead to the abomination that is the Misc Starfarer interior... I never want them to consider FPS combat when designing ship interiors again. It lead to absolutely horrible ship designs.
the problem with the pu racing is that by the time you get to the track it may be dark. What i would ask of CIG is to add really well lit lights that come on when it dark and when your at the track with the racing mission. after you've completed the mission or if you have left, there will be a 1 minute timer before the lights shut off or just when the sun is rising

So in the world of SC they have perfected gravity technology for space flight meaning they can modify the gravity to 1G, so why haven't they made anti G force technology for flying fast without blacking out, it's surely the same technology, they could also justify only including it racing ships because it could be so power hungry (it would take more power to fluctuate the cockpit plus and minus G's compared to keeping a ship at a constant 1G). So glad to see you back on SC 😊
i enjoyed having an MSR, but after it while it wears off on you. got tired of walking through 6 doors just to get outside lol. theres less doors to go through in a carrack ffs lol
This ship doesn't "slide" around corners as nicely as some of the other racing ships. You point the nose in a direction and you're almost immediately going in that direction, so you don't "skid" sideways through a corner, and you have to time your turns quite sharply. I've also found that this ship is really hard to fly with GSAF off. You black out in pretty much every turn lol
That's a sweeeet Fury and paintwork! Gotta leave out warp drive and weapons to keep it maneuverable on the track. Would be nice if you can deploy wings straight away
Good times around the first track, considering you didn't depoly the wings after blowing up and respawning. I agree the default spawn state in AC should be deployed wings else plenty of people will forget to deploy on respawn.
instead of redesigning ships that are already flying can we work on ships that have been sold for 11 years now and still not in development? i couldn't care less if your MSR interior drives you nuts or not.
You can hold tab to see all laps, including fastest btw Also, for anyone interested in racing: 1. Turn off speed limiter. Its a bad habit to have it on. Learn to control the speed yourself 2. CONSIDER racing in decoupled mode. 3. Turn on the direction thingy (cant remember name), but the one you see in ollis video that shows where hes headed, the two triangle-ish things pointing at each other. (This is also why you might want decoupled mode, or to switch to decoupled mid flight, because you already know youve got the tightest corner and the perfect speed and you dont want the ship to ruin it. In atmosphere, gravity can make this a bit hard tho. 4. Consider getting a hotas. Even a super cheap one. It can really be helpful, but first go for a super cheap one, in case you find out you dont like it. 5. P72 is best for atmosphere, and great otherwise. Its also cheap to buy ingame if you want to try it in the universe. No QT tho, keep that in mind. 6. Press F6 to turn full power to flight. You dont need shields, you dont need guns. You will have to do this every respawn. Same goes for extending wings, which olli forgot. No need for P72 tho. 7. Before racing, remove guns, shields etc etc in the loadout manager. Weight does have an impact in the game. Not equally in every patch, but it does play a role, and you dont need them anyways. 8. Watch a guide made by someone youve seen is good at racing. The one made by Legacy Instructional Series is pretty good, and for youtubers who race, BlackMaze is my personal favorite.
If Star Citizen models vertical differently than longitudinal acceleration, then whip around at least into the final direction you want to exit the turn and boost. The Mirai should offer fabulous pilot support for insane longitudinal acceleration, terrible support for vertical. Isn’t there a racing g-suit that’s available that increases your tolerance to vertical acceleration?
Character movement has massively improved, no more momentum. There was definitely a lighting and shading pass as well. All of my interiors have improved visuals. Tons of small changes that are really great.
except its not. the gforce blackout nerf completely destroys light fighters ability to close the gap and get close to turreted ships. until this change is reverted flying a light fighter is a death sentence to literally anyone. best pvp pilot or not against even mediocre multicrewed turreted ships. DOA
I pledged for a Fury and I was flying under the tram bridge on microtech. I had so much, but I think a lot of that is because I just got TrackIR5. Flight sticks arrive on Thursday, immersion will be through the roof when I get a better pc build.
The steering horn was broken for quite a ehile and stuck in its receeded position which made the position of the horn and the hands a bit awkward, but this was how the ship looked from the get go and how it was intended to look.
I've backed this game from the very begining, but unfortunately, my life didn't match the need to play. System is what one would consider to be a potato. lol. Anyway, looks great, hope you're having fun with it. Can't believe Port Olisar has gone. It'll be a completely different game by the time I get to play it next.
i dont want a quantum drive for the fury, and love the fact it doesnt add weight nor extra em and ir levels, ontop of when equipped with stealth items on the fury xd which is next to release. i love this craft! and as you said it fits into a cutter and msr or even on the back of a nova. there's plenty of carry options even if you dont have a big cargo or carrier. shoot i even fit 2 with ease on a tarus.
@@radarphaser sorry said as he said. when the cutter was an 8scu grid floor yes, as current with 6scu grid nay. as why the change... /shruge? it barely holds muel, stv, or pair of nox as current. maybe in future the cutter will be fixed with +2scu to the 6scu grid floor to be the 8floor as 16scu it was suppose to have. as lots are upset about the space on the cutter with its box creation on it and having to move every box fill ect being frustrating to manage and use as a single piolet ship. so as current, it does not fit a fury my knowledge on a cutter and on the back of a nomad currently is the cheapest hauler for it. but if the cutter were fixed, it would fit again.
Measurement. Length. 7.0m. Beam. 5.4m. Height. 2.6m. is the star ctizien wiki specs. but that is without its park mode when the wing mass isnt extended. as it grows 1.2m tall and shrinks 1.2m wide when goes into park. so 7m long x 4.2m wide x 3.8m tall is its park specs. and you need 1.5m+ for mobility while parking in park mode. so space required is 7m x 4.2m x 5.3m tall... just incase you were wondering for its size and to what it actually fits into
every 2scu box of storage is suppose to be 2m x 2m x 2m. as i know it only lets you store 2x2, but on a grid of 6 is suppose to be 3x2 2x2 for 6m long and 4m wide. so you can see the cutter is 1m short long, and .2m short wide. even before height or door become issues. where 2 box tall and half a box air space is 5.24m internal height so its right at the edge of safe for moving in and parking if the cutter went to an 8scu base grid making it 1 box longer in the cargo haul which everyone has been asking for 3x2 production line. it could also effectively hold the fury, mule or lynx. then the cutter would be a really great little ship for what it is and as it was intended to be.

Yeah, the MSR needs a bit of a clean up of the interior I think. Less doors, maybe fuse rooms together. It takes so long to traverse small distances through the ship and it's convoluted. It's also a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none. Which is fine, but it's quite expensive for a ship like that.
I cant wait to have car "Ship" meets ingame when there is alot of cool fast ships to choose from and you can open all the components for everyone to see like the fury can
IMO the Star Runner is one of the best ships in the game, even though it's true purpose isn't in the game yet. It flies amazingly well and is very useful for anything a Cutlass Black is used for.
The Spirit's gonna be interesting. It's got far inferior turret coverage to both the Cutlass and the MSR, any turreteer will not have a good time. It'll be tougher than the Cutlass, as fast and agile as the MSR, about in the middle with how fast you can get into and out of it... Either way I'm gonna want the Spirit because as a daily driver it's a tougher Cutlass with worse turret play.
Instead of using the inner thought prompt just press k or bind it to an easily accessible button on your sticks to deploy the wings, its the same with the Corsair, hull series and scorpius.
You probably hit 'c' on your keyboard by accident and put yourself in Decoupled Mode. This shuts off all computer assist on your thrusters so you have to make all those inputs yourself. This means your thrusters on the bottom of your ship that normally are under computer control keeping you in the air are under your control so if you don't fire them... you fall like a rock. When it happens just hit 'c' to turn the assist back on.
I fly my MSR all the time, but haven't been able to play 3.20 this week. I will play tonight though and find out if they change it. Yours looks differently than what I remember of mine, but I have played since last week, so I honestly can't remember. I don't remember the center console being quite that dark in color. But then, I play on a 3070ti, so I am lagging behind on the graphics front.
Port Olisar was really cool because it was the only station where you could see a bunch of player ships all landed in one place. It just felt like a special and unique station. And now it's just a copy paste of every other station really.
Easy to black out in a Fury LX , also the ship has a propensity to 'drift' on turns, it's a very responsive vessel. You know, you should ask CGI to make a racing ship carrier, to hold your racing ship of choice.
I think they mentioned the Starliner being used as a garage for storing and tuning racing ships as part of its original concept, it's supposed to be super modular so you can use it for a lot of things. It's been awhile since we've gotten an update on it though.
Every single SC ship ever sold has a unique serial number, they can also be sold to other players, although cig does not support the "grey market" they allow it to exist but accept no responsibility for purchases not made through the official store. There are some browser addon that show this info. I have been saying for years SC are pretty much nfts. Lol. It doesn't change anything for me. I just find it funny.
if you want to reset your lap time you can just passthrough the start/finish again and it will restart the time. no need to run through the whole thing.
The star runner hasn’t changed, I’ve always kinda liked it, bought it and melted it a million times. It just doesn’t have its game loop yet, so kinda pointless as a ship right now. But cool sounding and good looking.
The change from C to alt+C for cruise control got me destroyed because it put me into decoupled.. I was 90 degrees going straight out of atmos and I didn’t realise as I got up and spent time to sort inventory or at least try if it would load but by the time I realised the ship wasn’t actually flying I crashed 😂
@@JoshSweetvale Really? I always use cruise control for the long rides out to space but rarely do I decouple, I haven’t even gotten close to being any good at dog fighting yet and I’m still using my starter ship, for me the change was unnecessary.
Hello, I want to get this game so bad, but I need to get a PC, can anyone suggest a build that is able to run this game decently and hopefully doesn't cost 50k?
Ill let somebody else cover what would be a decent build to for SC - ill just cover the PC i used when i started SC and was Shocked by how playable it was, when i was expecting it not to work, at all. I had a i7 6700 processor / GTX 1660 Super GPU / 32GB of ram at the stock 2133 MHZ because my motherboard didnt support XMP or making the RAM faster, even though i had bought faster RAM. / 1TB SSD. The cities were a bit choppy at times but Never unplayble and the biggest thing i could say back then that was noticable to me was, if i took a elevator down to lobby from a hangar, i would notice the ASOP terminals popping in as i got off elevator. If you have a PC anywhere near the level of that potato i had, i say Download and play SC, while you wait for your new rig to arrive - that way you will have a headstart on setting up some keybinds to your liking, and getting familiar with the menus, procedures in calling ships, flying, landing..etc
These are two different notions. Controlling gravity requires a simpler setup. Gravity doesn't change very fast, and it's way weaker. The most you'd expect ships to be able to handle is 2G of gravity
@@nathanixslade That's not the difference I told you about. The difference is in Gs and variation. Gravity "rotates" relative to the speed of the ship at the same speed than the G-force, but the change in the pressured applied by the G-force is way stronger. On Earth for example, gravity is about 1G, and the highest change that can happen is going from straight up to upside down, that's 2G of variation. Meanwhile, a highest G-force of 10 would require the system to be able to handle not only 10G, but also a variation or 20G, or 20G (going from 10 to -10). Notwithstanding the fact a system that can barely handle the max is no good. You'd expect its limit to be 10 times that, so 200G. Taking the similar conditions, you'd expect the current anti-gravity systems to break at 20G.
@@nathanixslade Also the system needs to handle a change in both the Gs it deals with and the target Gs to counter it in an instant (microseconds to not feel tremors). Current anti-gravity tech's requirement is a matter of minutes, because gravity doesn't change that fast, only the direction does relative to the ship.

Nope. Every time you crash your ship, or "loose" it, you get to the ASOP terminals (the terminal used to call for your ship to be transfered to a hangar for you) and pay a small fee of the ingame currency. And you get your ship back (but as for now, you loose all the cargo and the stuff that was contained in your ship). Also, you can buy ALL the ships ingame, with the ingame currency. Hope it helps.
When you lose a ship in game you can respawn it with in game money with an insurance claim. The only time you really lose ships bought with in game money is during a wipe. Real money ships persist after a wipe
You only have to pay the in-game insurance fee if want it rushed, too, unless they changed it recently. If you wait the timer out, then there's no in-game cost.
Guys running around area 18 dosing people into an overdose state while they pull up their ships and stealing all their gear and ships...what a time to be alive!
I think I can do better if only I could get my hands of this game and that machine, then practicing it would suffice and faster since I've handled some planes agile as this one
Streamers must play on exclusive servers, it always look cool and beautiful, while the really is crashes and bugs all the time. Still dont know how they pushed that messed 3.20 PTU patch to live, and the "fix" of today looks even worse rn.
