@Normal it's metaphorical and literal. Vergil is only vergil at the beginning of the game and the end of the game. Therefore he is literal an alpha and omega character
Glad you guys liked this track The whole song is an homage to Vergil’s life story. He lost family, honor and sense of self. If you plan to play the game I won’t spoil it! Plenty of non-stop action with a story to match it!
"This sounds like boss music" That's because it is homie and you're the boss. Vergil is a tragic character behind all that collected demeanor. It's lyrics do a good job capturing his feelings and life. One of the sickest things he has in 5 is that went you max out his Concentration gauge from standing still, he can AUTO PARRY almost everything.
Vergil isn’t evil. He’s just misguided and lost. As a child he was nearly killed by demons and didn’t know his mother tried to save him but she didn’t get there in time and she died making him believe that she favored Dante over him. After that he was tortured and twisted by Mundus (Ruler of Hell) who made him into Nelo Angelo. Dante fought Vergil a multitude of times to stop him from merging our world with the demon world. This theme represents his life, from being “left behind” to his redemption when Dante and Vergil cut down the tree. You have to play the game to actually see a little bit of him. However if you want the full lore you’ll have to play all the games in order to get the story
The song is basically about Vergil making the choice to cast his humanity aside in his never ending quest for strength even though he knows it'll mean a life of loneliness and solitude. He was almost killed by demons as a child and spent years in hell being tortured by Mundus (the ruler of hell) so he swore to never be weak enough to allow himself to be in a situation like that again.
This song is like a loveletter to vergil, it has so much power, the lyrics fits him so well. And a fun fact, is that at the climax part, they used the same 3 chords from Vergil Battle 2 from DMC3. The climax part is so good but after realizing that, it's just hits different.
DMC5 special edition you get to play as Virgil. This is his theme that plays during battle. It's dynamic the closer you get to SSS the harder the tune gets!
Well. He himself isn't really much a villain. He doesn't actually go out of his way to kill humans. He just wants to kill Dante via being jealous and thinking his mother abandoned him. When in reality she died while looking for him to save him. Only she didn't know Vergil was dragged away by demons. And was raised/abused growing up with the demons. Vergil loved his family. But thought Dante was the favorite and so was super jealous. Dante's room was closer to his mom which was why she was able to find him so quickly. While Vergil's was a bit further away which was why she couldn't make it to him in time. Vergil just wanted more power to not see those he cares about being killed. Only he went further and further into lust for power that he lost sight of himself. But Nero helps him. Which is why he thanked Nero in game.
Bro, for absolute real it sounds like 2007 anime amv, vegeta or sasuke. And you nail it when you say it sounds like danger and power. The guy is super OP to play with, really fun stuff.
Sorry random stranger on the interwebs advice lol - Guys, pause it when you want to say something about it, I know some people cry about pauses but its better than speaking over the song, was interested what you were saying and enjoying the song, couldn't hear a word you said.
