I think she played and wrote the percussion, including the marimba, herself. She has other videos where she talks about the marimba and also shows her playing keys & guitar and my sense is she's not quite advanced enough on guitar to write those parts. Thus, I suspect she didn't write the guitar, but if I found out she did I wouldn't be shocked. I love Portnoy too, but I suspect Yoyoka will eclipse him soon.
She wrote this so her local sports teams could have a theme song. There's a video (I think it's on her family's channel) where she goes to the arena & they have a ceremony, & play it for the first time. Thanks for reacting!
Yoyoka has a lot of creativity and creative energy. Just imagine if she did not have to deal with going to school. Look how much she has been able to do while being in school. Can't wait to see what is in store for her future.
Thanks for reacting to this-it’s such an amazing piece. I hear Rush as well as Dream Theater like you mention, but it also makes me think of the amazing Japanese band Lovebites at times. Rush would be proud of this song I think, anyone would. Also Yoyoka is from Japan, not China actually. Keep up the good work!
Glad Vand3rhorst that you present us another incredible video of Yoyoka. A rock-alternative-prog piece she wrote in collaboration with guitarist Yukihide YT Takiyama, really I'm speechless and all that at only 12 years old. Ouffffff what will be next. Keep up the good work I like your channel.
She recently sat in to play Good Times, Bad Times with Paulie Z’s band at the Whiskey A GoGo and got his regular drummer “fired”: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6h0eiKga_oU.html 😎👍
Although Yoyoka has two kick pedals, she does every bit of this with just her right foot. She made a tutorial video on how to do it when she was about 6!
Original video says it’s written by guitarist Yukihide YT Takiyama and YOYOKA. Yes, Dreamtheater, but some parts are flirting with the 70’s in this almost, rhapsody of rock styles.
Questo brano è stupendo, eseguito alla grande da tutti i musicisti.Molto bello anche il video, toccante e suggestivo.La partitura di questo brano mi ricorda molto la band di Bruford con Berlin, Holdsworth e Stewart
@@vand3rhorst Also, the bass player on this track is Rhonda Smith who was with Prince for about 13 years, and has collaborated with others like Jeff Beck. Yoyoka is running with pros that have been around for a long time. She just gets better and better. I have been following her for years now, and just love watching her. What a gift she has!!!!
HI VCAN CHECK HER LATEST VID FROM THE WISKEY AGOGO CLUB IN YOUR COUNTRY, SHE IS NOW UNDOUGHTEDLY ONE OF THE BEST DRUMMERS AROUND THE GLOBE , PS CO RIGHT.
