Why are b&s trying to fade out flat heads and make animals and clones the new thing flat heads are so simple to build and fix and they are fast they should make flat heads and animals
I miss the flatheads also as they like you said are simple and fun. The LO206 however is head and shoulders above the flatheads in that they live longer and perform better at a much lower overall cost. Want to build a hotrod, they're good for that also probably at a much lower overall cost than doing the same with a flathead. In my opinion the LO206 is the only way to go and over the years we've owned and build many many flatheads.
Actually they are made in Milwaukee Wisconsin. And if they lied about them being forged or machined they would be taking a big risk of false advertising. So you are wrong, it is as simple as that.
