This video shows off the Cirrus SR20 N128FA on a flight from Block Island (KBID) to Fitchburg (KFIT). I hope that you find it helpful - I tried to explain as much of the systems in the aircraft as I could!
I hope you enjoy the video! Leave me a comment about it, and be sure to subscribe. If you have any ideas for flying videos then leave them in the comments or message me directly.
Thanks for watching!

It's a great ride, and comfortable too. I've flown our club's SR20 multiple times to Florida from NY. It really is a traveling pilot's airplane. #Aviation #Cirrus

Clarky Av, keep those Cirrus vids coming! I've not been able to locate any around my area, but I can find some used ones at decent prices for fairly new planes. Just not at that stage in my life yet...

Naeem Siddiqui Thanks buddy! The watch is just a Casio watch - it was a balance between cost and having something that receives the atomic clock signal. :-) The Cirrus controls are pretty good. It's nice having the stick out of the way of your knees, although the travel on the stick is pretty small so it makes fine control a bit more difficult. But it's all pretty intuitive!

It will hold an altitude with the bug. You have to put in your desired climb rate and altitude then hold down the VS and ALT at the same time and it will capture the altitude when it gets there.

Nice video with good commentary. What type of watch are you using in this video ? How did you find the change from Yoke setup to Stick controls ?

You probably know this by now, but here it is for the sake of the readers. As far as the Cirrus S-TEC 55X autopilot NAV is concerned, there are two functions. One is NAV and the other is GPSS in NAV mode. If you fly with NAV only, AP will receive navigation data from the Primary Flight Display HSI. NAV selected with GPSS (GPS Steer), navigates with data from the Garmin GNS430 which is much more accurate. It's good to use GPSS when in NAV mode for 2 reasons. PFD HSI data isn't as accurate as drawing nav data through the GNS430. If you lose power from PFD, you'll be able to NAV through the Garmin unit. If you NAV to a VOR, you'll be in VLOC mode, not GPS. #Aviation #Navigation #GPS
