Thats a really clean vehicle. I can appreciate the effort to preserve it. I wish my father cared more about his mustang. He took such horrible care of it. My dream is to restore it because i could totally afford it but i lack the time, workspace and tools.

Impressive numbers. I fall into the category of driving these cars and putting some miles on them. That's what Ford built these cars for to be driven and enjoyed. Just my opinion though.

@Carbine Element I like seeing that to every once in a while. The lowest mileage car I've ever seen was an 85 LX 5.0 coupe that had only 181 miles. The center caps were never installed, still in the bag they came in from the factory.

You can’t begin to compare your mileage against my 2013 Boss…. 127,000 miles and growing, BABY!!! Who are you leaving those miles for?? Yeah… your car will be worth $20k more than mine when you die, but I’ll have 200,000 more miles worth of kickass fun when I die… what’s better, 20k more in your estate for your heirs to liquidate, or years of enjoying your car???

That "red" trackey has NOT been activated on that Boss. The display on the video shows mileage, when using a active trackey, the display does not show any mileage. If the trackey was active, the display would have shown "Trackey Active" and "For Track Use Only" alternately every 5 seconds. As for power increase, Edmunds dynoed a Boss with Trackey activated, they then displayed the dyno sheet at the end of the video which showed 416 hp to the wheels.
@latemodelrestoration
@latemodelrestoration Год назад
James - Thanks for the comment. You can click the "reset" button on the 2012 cars which will clear the message center of the TracKey notification. Also, every dyno and car is different. I see variances like this quite often when comparing dyno runs. -Landan

#LS302 here. Red key provides no lift shifting? Is that true? I never heard that before. I can’t even imagine no lift shifting in a boss. Trans can’t handle gentle shifting. Mine trans blew up at 1500 miles. Best thing about the boss is ford covered the drive train warranty on the track. Drag or road course.

Exactly! I did this with my 13 Boss at a dyno day a local shop. Back to back pulls, silver key, then TracKey. We let it run for the 2 min minimum on the red key then made a pull. Picked up 10hp. Ford claimed it wasn’t any more power though.

Those wheels do nothing for the car, sometimes the Retro throwback design doesn't pan out and Ford should put more thought into it. At least they didn't have the wheels pinned in, riding on Pizza Cutters, so their Mustang looks like a fat lady walking on spindled legs and feet - looking back to the SN95 Mustangs, especially the New Edge's will conjure up nightmare images of this feature! 🤮

@Lil' Ike most people actually don't. But yes you're right on the travels miles, I miss interpreted it, as I was listening not watching. When someone says it's got xxx amount of distance on the car they usually abbreviate the overall travel distance as just the first 3 numbers in my country, bit of a lazy habit.
