Wish we got arms deal 2 as a 10 years CS:GO anniversary update :D imagine a case full of old Valve designs such as Case Hardened, Fade, Ultraviolet etc + the old knives (bayonets, karambit) but in some new finishes.. would be cool.

I never really played CS:GO but I remember you could just download skins from a passionate community that made them for free and copy paste the files into your game. What a time to be alive....
Hah! Hell yeah, I remember those days. My most popular video on my old RU-vid account, was my 11 year old self showing how to install skins on CS:S (With a video tape camera, I then converted digitally). Got like 200k views and that was HUGE back then.
Online FPS games would never be the same, and not for the better. To be fair, Team Fortress 2 sort of started it. Skins, hats, crates, trading. I remember people were less concerned about playing the game, and would just chat about trading cosmetics. It felt weird. Like the purity of the game had died. However, CSGO took that to a whole other level. The gambling addiction and get rich quick scams are tales of online legend now.
When they cared about improving monetisation and profit more like it. If they cared, they wouldn't have asked a shit tier dev studio to make the game. They care more now though

El momento en que arruinaron un juego shooter clasico , haciendo asi un negocio enorme , y esta es una de las trabas por las cuales el juego no se actualiza finalmente por que tiene mas peso en skins y dinero como base de datos , que como juego en si.. Increible que los jugadores historicos hallan sido complices de esto , la verdad lo que es el dinero , como siempre mueve todo , aparte de darle skins , les habran pagado por esto mismo , en ese dia era un apuesta un ver que pasa , hoy es un negocio gigante la tienda del cs go. Because they turned a mod for Half Life into a franchise and created the most popular version of Counter Strike and whether you want to believe it or not, if not skins, CSGO would have been forgotten about probably around 2015-2016 and now the game is going to be 10 years old on 21st of August 2022 and it's doing better and better. every. single. year. Also you're confusing Loot Boxes with Cosmetic Skins, predatory "Loot Boxes" drop *undisclosed* items which may or may not offer an advantage to a player. CSGO's cases clearly display the skins that the case contains. Only way CSGO's cases would be in any REAL legal danger is if the case for example would drop a AK47 skin with +20 extra damage which it would literally make that a predatory microtransaction and give an unfair advantage to players that decide to spend real money. NIP were given the opportunity to release the Arms Deals update to CSGO. By pressing that button it forced everyone to update. This update brought skins and cases to the game.
