Well... yet again people can't say there's no 35k model 3 lmao. Now we have a 360 mile+ model 3 with heated/vent seats along with everything included for 35k lmao.
Even before this, the inflation adjusted price of the most affordable Model 3 was below $35,000 in 2018 dollars, and now the price is way below the promised price point. Even before the tax credit.
I love the redesigned Model 3, the LR RWD is definitely going to be my next car. I also must be the only person on Earth who prefers the blinker buttons to the stalks, I always found Tesla stalks to be super confusing as they don’t click into place like other stalks do. Trying to turn off the blinker afterwards is super aggravating with the stalks in my experience. With the buttons you just press it, much simpler.
I like both ways just I wish they but each signal on different side of the wheel like right on the right side and left on left side so no feeling around just click
Haha, Drew, we actually just got back from an 1,800 mile Southwest road trip in our 2023 RWD Model 3, which we bought just over a year ago. That extra 90 miles of range would've been NICE. There were a couple of stretches where I got close to 400wh/mi, which means even 150 miles between stops is kind of pushing it. The temperature, the quality of pavement, the fact that I'm on all season tires, wind, it all adds up. Anyway, we got the best deal we could when we needed a car, so not really regretting it. It's good to see Tesla improving their vehicles over time, and responding to the tax credit rules.
Yep, that's why I'm waiting for Tesla to upgrade their lineup with 800v architecture and new battery chemistry. I'm guessing we hear something this year and production sometime 2025.
I know the feeling. I'm thinking about ordering this new spec M3 but then HW 5.0 may come out next year with front bumper cameras. At some point I'm sure that PowerShare will also be added to all vehicles not just Cybertruck. Oh well 🤷♂
I don't see how blinkers can be a deal breaker for folks. I'm a gamer and button mapping is a thing and you just get used to it. Unlike ole ICE vehicles at least you don't need blinker fluid ;-D ...jk
For folks who just have bought or will buy soon, don't watch videos about Teslas, just enjoy the car and ignore everything about them in social media, you can only get disappointed.
Amazing vehicle! I hope Tesla will introduce Model S with 500+ miles of range next! And also redesign Model X from scratch from Model Y to be able to compete with Rivian and Kia EV9 and get 500+ miles of range also ;)
Yup, Missing the hatch and factory hitch were the issues that moved me to the model Y. I really don't need a glass roof either if that would help lower the price.
I have the same car as drew, exact spec same colors and delivery within a month or so 50% depreciation but 12k miles 🥴🥴🥴. But 2% interest on my loan is keeping me from trading in anytime soon.
I was just looking at minivans and they only go down a less than 25% thousand after 2 years and 50k. Id take a second look at what's normal after 2 years and 50k
I test drove a single motor Model 3 and surprisingly the acceleration was preppy and the handling was refined and cushy. But I still love my 2024 Model 3 Performance. It is absolutely the best 4 door GT for the money, insane!!
How come nobody is talking about the discrepancy on the Tesla website. If you click more details for interior/sound system it says long range and performance come with 17 speakers. But rear wheel drive comes with 9. You see the problem here right? Long range rear wheel drive gets what?!?
Yea to keep cost down on the lfp and long range models it’s always been like that since a long long time. I personally go for the 17 just bc it sounds great in my m3p
But daily driving you'll get about 326 miles if you can only charge to 90%. Which should be good enough for most people. And then the full 363 miles for road trips.
I don't know, I think I still probably would have got the Prius I have at that price. I got the Prius for $32K and it gets me 50-60mpg so around 550 miles of range. For that price I could have gotten the Prime and then still be cheaper than this model. The Model 3 is faster, but not that much. I already get a 0-60 of 6.5 seconds, 4 seconds doesn't really change much, and my car is already nearly silent on the road, I only hear the motor when I hit it over the eco range. Gas is fairly competitively priced in my area at only just over $3.2 a gallon and I can't charge at home so it's not an amazing deal.
I have a Model 3 LFP that is one year old with 6,000 miles. When I charge to 100% the displayed mileage is now 263 miles. Is that about normal? Does this represent battery degradation? What does your LFP car show for 100% range?
I traded my 21 MYP for a 24 MYP. Very happy with the deal. Cost me under 50¢ a mile for a pretty nice upgrade Look into trading. If you make sure to keep your rear all seasons fresh, rwd teslas are great in snow.
There’s so many variables it’s impossible to have a perfectly accurate range number. Driver speed effects a lot, but the EPA estimate is closer than any other standard
Tesla has put together the most compelling EV for the most people available today. This is it. If Tesla can build this car and make money on this car for this price, I see why Tesla is reducing priority on a Model 2. The used market provides for the Model 2 buyer. This RWD long range Model 3 is the best entry EV on the market. Now if they could dislodge the megalomaniac and stop him from removing ridiculous amounts of resources from the company, they could support the workers and engineers responsible for these fantastic products. We can hope. Without that gouging, I would probably buy one.
@@Kimbrough87 True, or drive it downhill a lot. I was thinking about a XL range one with a 100kWh pack. If they are not going to make new models then max-out the potential with the existing ones.
Depreciation is just for haters. Everything depreciates including your life. Get over the whole “how much has it depreciated” mentality. I’ve made money on some things and lost on many others. Cars, houses, stocks, etc.
Depreciation is for the rich that get new cars every 3 or 4 years. I will have my Tesla for over 10 years and by then it should have 200k to 250k miles on it.
There is a reason why the new model 3 isnt selling in Germany… There are 7 roundabouts in the Very small City I live next to, and today while driving home from work I passed through 6 roundabouts without even TRYING… I know for a fact that the City I was in had 5 other roundabouts, and that means there PROBABLY are more that I am unaware of. America has 1.118 roundabouts… Germany has 13.000 … if its Annoying to drive into a Roundabout in AMERICA with the new model 3, Then try that in germany where you will drive into 5 during a 2 minute Timespan.
I have a Honda Fit, it gets 360 miles of range, I paid $7,000 for it and I've been driving it for 10 years. At 35-40mpg and $4 as the average cost of gas (real average is lower over the past 10 years, so being conservative), with 150,000 miles I put on it, it probably has cost me $17,000 to drive it. Insurance is way less than a Tesla, put no more than a $1,000 in maintenance (tires, oil changes, air filters). So I have driven a used ICE car with more utility and better reliability and the total cost of ownership over 10 years is still less than the cheapest long range Tesla. Nevermind that it's also more eco friendly because the carbon and pollutants required to make it was produced over 10 years ago and far less than what's required to make new Tesla and the car will most likely last another 10 years with basic maintenance assuming no accident. I just see all Tesla's as luxury smart phone cars with economy car trim and build quality, and average car prices. Nothing about them excites me at this point. Aptera is the only EV that I see with the potential to really beat ICE cars as daily commuters and long trip vehicles for people who actually care about maximizing the utility of their vehicles and lowering their cost of daily driving. Buying a new car, even an EV, is not how you save money in the long run. But hey, we live in the land of trucks. So not like Americans really buy anything for practical reasons, so more power to all the Tesla fan Bois who keep buying new Teslas.
I can’t in good faith support Telsa products, Elon has come out as a full on radical and endorsed Trump. I don’t know where his customer base lies politically but I imagine if you are concerned enough about the climate to purchase an expensive EV you might be liberal or a Democrat or just left of center… For those folks, there are other EVs out there. Elon just leaning way too hard into politics in my humble opinion, it’s super difficult as a convicted person of conscious to ignore that or support a company supporting him. 🤷♂️
@@TailosiveEV I'm sure they do. considering Elon literally stated he won't be donating to either candidate in may and that he supposedly doesn't lean either way, just shows that he's a very deceiving and cannot be trusted let alone that supporting trump contradicts with wanting EVs to be the future. I've had enough as a fan and an investor.
