Anyone who compares themselves to Bolt will come up short. Tyreek Hill is a freak athlete, but Bolt was an anomaly. No one comes close. Great analysis as always.
@@100percenthim Ummmmmm no. Tyreek Hill is one of the fastest guys in the NFL, but in a straight sprint against Bolt, not a chance. Maybe if Usain Bolt has been slipping in his retirement, but if you compare world record setting Bolt from his prime against Hill in his prime, there's no contest. Hill probably wouldn't even make the cut at the Olympics.
As of now, here are the Top 3 fastest Sprinters in the *60m split* in the 100m Dash: 1. Su Bingtian: *6.29* + 3.54 = 9.83 (Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games) 2. Usain Bolt: *6.31* + 3.27 = 9.58 WR (Berlin 2009 World Championships) 3. Christian Coleman: *6.32* + 3.44 = 9.76 (Doha 2019 World Championships) And Tyreek Hill’s 60m PB: 6.64 (2014). Okay.
@@aodoemelaAsafa Powell’s 6.32 split. Is that in his 9.72 PB? Or is it in one of his Fastest 100m races? And for Maurice Greene’s 6.32. Is that in his 9.79 PB? Or is it in one of his Fastest 100m races?
Bolt's camera time for the 60m split in Berlin was 6.29s as well. It more accurate than LAVEG because LAVEG moves around and is focused on different parts of the body. Bolt's 40m time is the fastest ever recorded with the exception of a guy called Michael Greene in the 90's who was 0.01s faster.
He's fast yes, but STOP misrepresenting real track numbers. He ran a 10.19 WIIND-AIDED which is why that number was not an OFFICIAL time. It was actually calculated closer to 10.3. Huge difference. So everyone, he did not run an official 10.19 due to wind assistance. This is standard talk and this [track channel] knows it. The creator wants to wow you so he leaves out the fine print. That way next time you argue with your buddies you end up looking foolish.
Wouldn’t say destroyed. He was last, but if you watch the race it’s pretty clear he was in the running for 4th or 5th until the very end. The gap between him and the winner was hardly a quarter second. His time still has him as somewhere around the 400th fastest man in the world during that track season. Sure; not “Elite” for track, but for a nearly 250 lb dude? Insane
Only in a straight line. There was a study comparing soccer players to sprinters. Male soccer players ran about as fast as female sprinters in straight lines. But when they had them change direction as a they ran, the sprinters lost by far more than the soccer players did in a straight line. Track speed almost disappears in any position other than the track. Plus you have occurrences like when Willie Gault lost to Darrell Green in NFL fastest man events despite the latter's pedigree
Bro, people need to appreciate the legend Bolt is. There will be challengers but c'mon guys... the dude's name is Bolt. He made his name in track, but if you strip all that away, he is still - BOLT ⚡
While I agree that hill is delusional and would get SMOKED in race with bolt at any distance, At least tyreek isn’t some coach potato saying this stuff, he’s a world class athlete
Doesn't help that US Media like ESPN and many others failed to put into context just how slow the 6.70 he ran was in that 60m early this year. Completely failed to mention how slow it was not just in comparison to Pro Sprinters but to NCAA Track Athletes as well! Just kept talking about how he "dominated" running against nobodies. For context, that 6.70 placed him joint 218th fastest man over 60m with the joint 717th fastest time in 2023!
He was a monster in hs though. Probably couldve been a world class sprinter if that was his focus. I live very close to his high school and they just dont have a good track program. Very good football program though
@@dylandixon4058 That has absolutely nothing to do with how US Sports Media reacted like he was faster than Pro Track Athletes when he ran 6.70 which made him the joint 218th fastest man in the world over 60m in 2023!
@@AllInTheGame01 I mean... I didn't even really hear about it other than on youtube channels like this one. I don't think they media really hyped this at all... maybe a couple people made a comment on a slow news day.
@@AllInTheGame01 no reason not to hype it up. 218th fastest time in the world is insane considering he is a NFL player who definitely doesnt work solely on getting faster times
But in the present time 2023 . If bolt trained like 3 months at age . 37. How fast you think he’ll run 40 yards. Abs by how many meters. Will he smoke tyreek hill.
@@joeyvonfeldt1979that is also true, and does help, quite a fair bit. However, bit going when he decides, in his prime, would have been a 4.0X, or even sub 4. Coleman and Su B, the same imo.
No disrespect to Tyreek, but his most recent 60m time back in 2022 wouldn't even place him in the top 50 in the NCAA that same year. Nowadays he's fast for football, average for track
Y’all are judging off a 60 he doesn’t train that he didn’t say he would beat him in a 60 m he trains for 20 and 30 meters that’s what he would beat him in and that’s nowhere near average that’s above average
@@Messup7654 nobody cares about who’s faster in 30m. U know how incredibly irrelevant that is? There’s never a room of discussion about who runs the fastest in 30M. Maybe in American football but the world is far bigger than that. What’s there to gain beating Bolt in a 30m dash? 🤣
@@marlitoworld3925 I’m proving a point lol all your track freinds keep saying he’s unbeatable and at any distance so I had to put that to shame bolt can beat him in his perk but tyreek will beat him in his own park

Hey TRP, any chance pls of doing a video on 18yr old South Carolina Freshman JaMeesia Ford who just ran 35.83 in her season opener in the indoor 300m just 0.04s from breaking Abby Steiner's 35.80 NCAA Record? Crazy stuff!
@@bnsz8704 because it hasn’t been that long and no major advances have been made in sprint science. Give it 4 or 5 decades and many sprinters will touch bolt’s records. Never is crazy to say
Man raced retired athletes in master class division. If he's into that type of bs might as well challenge Gatlin or even Asafa lol. Out of the top 5 that are retired, they are the only ones in good shape.
I feel like a fun charity event during the NFL off season would be to see a “Pros vs NFL” meet I feel like March/April would be a good time since most Pros are getting their season openers and NFL players just came off from their peak performances
Tyreek is a respectable sprinter already. 60 time is legit. Not to mention he isn't specifically training to peek in sprinting alone. His training is specific to football. No doubt would be an even faster sprinter he dropped football and went all in on track and field (5 yrs ago). He would not beat bolt. He would not be top 10. But he'd be really good. Maybe 4X1 Olympic team.
Tyreek is just fronting to build his legend. There is no way he could beat Bolt or even any 100m Olympic finalists. He is a great football player but don’t believe the hype.
@@bnsz8704Yep. Su Bingtian did actually ran a 6.29 in his 60m split in his Semifinal race in the 100m in Tokyo 2021. A lot of analysts had him clock at 6.29 in his 9.83 PB.
The 60M world record title belongs to Christian Coleman. There is NO such thing as 60m split recored. Su Bingtian doesnt own any Olympic titles or world records at all.
@@tyreek.6815 Actually Hill falls on purpose or steps out of bounds alot to avoid hits. This isn't really a knock though, as it's just smart business sense to try and avoid big hits and collisions, as those will end up costing you a lot of money in the long run. Injuries can hamper an athlete in making said money.
He means they at least are active sprinters. It’s like if Kyle Pitts wanted to challenge Michael Jordan to a basketball game, when there are plenty of current nba stars in their prime or still a part of the league now to test your prowess against.
Noah Lyle's seems pretty big on defending the sport and building it up. He could/would do it. Probably injury concerns on both sides means it would never happen
Lets assume Tyreek meant that he (right now) can beat Bolt (right now) in a 40. If thats what hes claiming, then hes not far off. i mean, he will probably still lose, but its not that much of a stretch to say "i can take him" since tyreek is still in his prime and Bolt has been retired for 7 years. HOWEVER, if hes claiming that he can beat Bolt at Bolts peak, he's f*cking delusional.
@@bjf5027 he’s the fastest recorded person alive the humans has been around for 2000 years your saying their wasn’t one person with insane genetics except bolt? I mean so insane they their faster without modern training
Tyreek is faster than average in pads on grass. He’s not track star speed in spikes though. Bolt would probably still beat him out of retirement. The fastest speed reached in the NFL this year was like 22mph. Bolt ran like what, 27? Not even close.
Actually the term World Series was never meant to convey the winner would be world champion. THE WORLD SERIES was the name of the newspaper that sponsered the league championship final when it was first played more than an century ago. The name of the trophy is the THE WORLD SERIES trophy and it was never changed even after the newspaper ceased to exist. But most people don't know that so the name has achieved it's problematic state
@@scottrobb651 _"For many years, it was believed that the name came from the fact that the original series was sponsored by the New York World Telegram newspaper, thus becoming known as the ‘World’s Series’. However, popular as this explanation may be, it’s not actually true and although the newspaper did report the results of the games, it had nothing to do with the naming of the competition._ _The real reason behind the name is thanks to Barney Dreyfuss who was the owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1903, he wrote to the owner of the Boston Red Sox challenging them to a ‘World’s Championship Series’. The Pirates were the best team in the National League and the Red Sox were the best in the American League._ _The games went ahead and Boston won the series five games to three. Over time, the 'World’s Championship Series' name has been shortened to the World Series and has been played every year apart from 1904 and 1994."_
In tyreek’s defense he didn’t say he could beat a prime bolt in the 60, only the 40 yard dash, an event bolt never trained before, I still think bolt wins in a landslide though, Bolt is a freak of nature who was created in a lab for sprinting, even at shorter distances athletes in other sports stand NO CHANCE
Tyreek Hill is smoking a blunt. His fastest time is a 10.19 an (9.98 due to a 5.0 tailwind does not stand) Usain Bolt times (9.58 /09) (9.69 /09) (9.96 /12) 9.72 /08 and he was Cruising 😂😂😂😂😂
5'8" at 135lbs? That's not that far off for the average pro male sprinter (could add 20-30lbs tho). Sprinters need to be light and toned, and the tall ones are usually in the longer distances or doing field events.
@@TheHuskyK9 There's not a single 135lbs pro sprinter at 5'8 or above, nonetheless it being the "average". Even someone like Su Bingtian comes in at 154lbs
It's like people thinking they could've beat Mike Tyson in his prime till they got punched in the mouth... Hill or any other NFL won't have a chance. Bolt was Profesional sprinter and that's All he did so yah haha
Tyreke and sprinting casuals are so delusional. At any given moment there is a highschooler faster than tyreke. Nobody has ever been as fast as usain ever in the history of the world
NFL have men malfunctioning 😂 Tyreek need to relax he getting smoked all around from the top 150 men he beating a prime bolt 😂 I mean he can always train for next years USA Olympic trial and get smoked
I think it’s worth noting that bolt’s 40 yard split was on the track, and NFL combine 40 yard splits are on turf. Not sure how that would affect speed, but I can’t imagine they are equally fast surfaces
Bolt ran a 40 yard in 4.22s a year after he retired. And he did it in sneakers and jeans lol to show you that there would be no comparison if he was to try it in his prime
People with simple track knowledge know that you can’t compare yourself to extreme peak Bolt (2008-2009), Tyreek is just lack of this kinda knowledge, well at least he knows his top speed is nowhere near Bolt’s. But it’s reasonable that he thinks he is faster in the 40m given that he is in the nfl and always race with that distance (40 yard), and given that it is widely considered that Bolt had a slow start because of his big status, which is a common misconception. Bolt is dusting Tyreek in the 40m, 60m, 100m and 200m. I don’t think we need prime Bolt is proof it cuz it’s not even worth it, just take any sprinters who has completed in this world championship.
Ocho Cinco/Chad Johnson said he could beat Phelps at swimming... 😂 Ocho since MP is retired you can have a go at Cody Simpson. This is worse than Lebron saying he can beat Warholm in 400H. Ocho
Tyreek on paper is a better 200m runner than at 60m/100m. In 2012 at 18, He was the 5th fastest U20 200m athlete ever (tied 9th fastest timing) at 20.14 (.21 off bolt). Which looks like nothing now, but was the fastest American time in almost 30 years.
One thing about the nfl 40 is that there are no starting blocks and the surface is not near as fast as a track with sprinting shoes. So I think the fastest nfl 40 would have been closer to Bolts best time in the 40. (I said closer not fast) who knows.
Tell him his best time is run by 16-17 year old sprinters. Let the 60 meter world champion in the 16-17 age category choose his opponent. It's funny how he challenged Usain Bolt.
For us to even be entertaining this conversation from a football player is just stupid. lol asafa Powell couldn’t even beat bolt in 60 and that’s probably one of if not the greatest starter of all time. Track people run straight for a living they don’t waste time doing agility drills and catching balls in between so how can tyreek hill compete
I believe Tyreek Hill. Tyreek did not say he could beat Usain Bolt's peak times, but rather he could beat him TODAY. If a 60 year old Michael Jordan were to play basketball against a 39 year old LeBron, there's no way Jordan would win. As a today Tyreek is 29 and Bolt is 37, and Tyreek is still a pro athlete and in peak condition. I have no idea what condition Bolt is in today, but this video is comparing Tyreek today with Usain's past. That's not what a race would be like today. Can Tyreek get Bolt in a 40? I think so, given the slower starts that Bolt gets. Can Tyreek get him in a 60? Probably. Can a 29 year old Tyreek get a 37 year old Bolt in a 100 meter race? I don't think so and I draw the line there. Bolt being retired for the past 6 years is a huge factor.
Not where everything as they stand now no Tyreek Hill would not beat Usain bolt but...... Hill would have placed 4th in bolts record setting 200.....WITH HIS HIGHSCHOOL score!!! Let that sink in. On top of that bolt is like 6 ft 4 in slim with really long legs, the total opposite of Tyreek Hill, who is 5'9" 200bs WITH SHORT LEGS 😂😂 his body type is not supposed to be among the fastest people on earth, but yet he is! Usain bolt in a race today or 5 years ago no!! But if he didn't take the NFL route and decided to become a track and field star I believe it's possible he could have been faster than bolt ⚡ Hill is a freak of nature!!! You go through all the top sprinters in history and none of them are as short as he is! Is body type is not that of a runner or a sprinter! His height and leg-length alone is a hindrance to being fast! His anatomy just makes no sense bring him to be as fast as he is, on top of that he is really muscular, so if he dropped 30 lb even 40 he'd still be in his proper BMI. Now you can't tell me a Tyreek Hill 30 lbs lighter would not be faster than he is now! But then you take into account that he is strong as an ox, (I'm a 39-year-old Chiefs fan I mean I'm a day one to spend the days of Brodie croyle, Tyler thigpen, Tyler Palko, Brady Quinn, Damon huard yes these were our quarterbacks prior to Patrick mahomes so I'm not a only became a fan when we got Pat) and I said all that to say I watched Hill when everyone was mad that we drafted him because of his off the field allegations But this dude was breaking tackles, people getting hurt trying to tackle him, he was built like a running back kinda well in the sproles/Warwick Dunn kinda way And I always knew he was different because he had track speed on the football field. But so did darrius Heyward-Bey And Mecole hardman. But I saw that Tyreek Hill was just a football player a small fast guy that can actually go across the middle! So I honestly believe that if he would have channeled all of his energy into just track he could have possibly been to the fastest man in the world 🤷🏾♂️ And he knows it that's why he feels that way because I'm pretty sure he's never lost a race
A perfect time for a "there are levels to this game, son". Track speed is unmatched in the sports world. In loads of sports you have extremely fast athletes who also perform insanely well in their sport, partly due to their speed. But being an extremely fast or even fastest ever baseball, football, soccer, etc athlete isn't the same as being in the same league as the top of the sprinting world. Track is where THE fastest people on the planet throw down. Quick personal example, we had a running back at my high school who was probably the fastest player on the field in every game he played in. I was the fastest sprinter in our school. He challenged me to a race and it wasn't even close, I ran the last 20-25m backwards and still won by 10m. The main difference in his ability and mine...he could run almost exactly the same speed with all those pads on and the ball in his hands and there's no way I'd have been able to do so. I was also much lighter than him, I was also much shorter which he assumed meant slower...and in the top levels of sprinting he'd have been right, but he wasn't a trained to run track and we were neither of us at the top level. So just to reiterate, there ARE levels to this game. Track speed is different than field speed. You may find a few athletes in other sports that might be able to beat a track star who's well past their prime (think boxing and youtubers fighting non boxers who left their primes behind them a decade or more ago)...but it's extremely unlikely you'll find a field athlete who can even give the track guys a real challenge. DK is super quick, especially given his size, and while he absolutely didn't embarrass himself he definitely was never in danger of winning either.
Cool story that nobody believes, because its BS. Lets do some math on this; I assume you to be about a 10.5-11s 100m sprinter in HS. Assume you did run 1/4 of the race backwards and that your backwards running speed is 1/2 your normal sprinting speed; you would've run that race in ~14-15 seconds, and you won by 10m, so tack on an extra 1s or even more for him to finish. Sorry, but your story is bullshit. No "fastest player on the field in every game he played in" running back is running a 16s+ 100m dash; thats like an LB running the 100m. Fastest player on the field examples like Lamar Jackson in HS, he was running 11.45 in the 100m; Tyreek Hill ran a 10.19 in the 100m in HS; Devon Achane posted a 10.53 100m. Maybe you did race the running back and probably won by a couple steps, but you didn't race 1/4 of it backwards and still win by a longshot; stupid hyperbole that actually ruined a good point you were making... There are levels to speed... and reality is, some NFL players could've gone to track route if they wanted to but chose football to make more money.
Su Bingtian doesn't have any Olympic titles LOL!!! Christian Coleman owns the 60M world record title. There is no Olympic sport for 60M split. You might as well time the middle portion of Usain bolts 100M and use that. LOL!
How could a Podcast about running falsley misrepresent track times? INCLUDE THAT THE 10.19 WAS WIND AIDED!! IT WASN'T AN OFFICIAL TIME. REPORT ACCURATE INFORMATION. YOUR CHANNEL IS ABOUT RUNNING!?!!???GET IT RIGHT .
Same thing gave Noah "COVID" when it mattered most despite the grand entrance to the race which showed a healthy athlete. Focus on your NFL career and leave Usain Bolt and his record for now bro!
The thing that would make Usain Bolt's 40 yard dash time EVEN FASTER is that there is no reaction time factor in the 40 yard dash, the runner goes whenever he wants and the timer starts when he goes.
Hate it wen ppl try to minimalize how great Bolt was...Bolt was ALWAYS there with the best starters in the WORLD..he gave ntn up at the start..a peak BOLT CAN NEVER BE BEAT...HE GAVE NTN AWAY AT THE START>>>
Track guys (Sans very very top guys Bolt, etc) could make MUCH MUCH MUCH more money playing WR in NFL, but they don't have any talent other than straight track speed.
embarrassing? :D haha you compare the Running-GOAT with somebody who plays a totally different sport. Is it embarrassing what T. HIll is saying or is it embarrassing for the other athletes in this sport that a comparison with Hill would be completely legit? It would be more interesting, whats the difference between T.Hill and the last place in a finals race (Olympia, World Cups,...). Do you think guys like Metcalf or Hill could qualify for a big race event, if they would train running for 1 year instead of playing football?
This is a very good conversation... tyreek is probably the fastest NFL player currently..but im surprised that no one has mention 2 people who i think could beat tyreek and would do very well against Usain..but bolt is bolt and he would win...but my two are.. Darryl Green from washington back in the day he was the fast dude in the NFL...but the all time fastest..at least if you go by combine 40 times.. the legend himself..Bo Jakson.. he did a 40 yrd dash at i think it was 4.12 or 4.11..but i beleive its stil the fastes ever..Bo was a trip...power and speed. Had he not gotten hurt.. we would be saying..Barry who? and Emmit..who??
It’s funny people fail to account the different body types of nfl players and track athletes. Nfl players have over 100 lbs of muscle on them compared to track athletes. Take DK for example. He finished last in the olympic trials or whatever but he still ran a 10.2 as a jacked 230 lb guy. If he lost his muscle mass and trained specifically for track it would be a completely dif story. Tyreek hill ran a 6.7 with minimal to no training for the event. But we’re also forgetting that he ran in the 20s for the 200 literally back in high school, when he didn’t have the muscle mass that he has now. Obviously if he were to run the 200 today he prolly wouldn’t be close to that. But if he trained and dedicated himself to the sport and lost the weight he 100% could be an elite level sprinter. And usain isn’t known for his first 40 meters he’s know for his top end speed between 50-80 meters. If tyreek dedicated himself to training for the 60 meters I could see him giving usain a run for his money. Especially considering tyreeks explosiveness and acceleration and his low center of gravity with his height being so short. It’s why athletes like Micah Williams in D1 track do so well in the 60 meters. Who was once a football player. But now specifically trains for track
Listen, everyone might trip because he's saying this BUT as a Jamaican let me just say that while he probably couldn't beat pro sprinters you still have to give it to football athletes. I honestly think most football athletes could make GREAT SPRINTERS. Convince me otherwise
I gotta correct this cause it's bugging me. Tyreek doesn't have an official combine 40 on record because he wasn't invited to participate. He was hand timed at his pro day at 4.21, but that's hand timing, not electronic timing, so you generally have an error of about a tenth of a second in either direction. Though comparing it to Ross's 4.22, it's clear Hill's was faster, so it's likely closer to the 4.17ish range
you are not considering one important thing, when you compare coleman and usain bolts time for a 40m sprint. Coleman could decide when he start and doesn't have to rely on a start signal like in the 100m sprint, this costs about 0,2 second to react
