This is Eve Online - Gameplay Trailer 

It's been more than four years since this trailer was released, and I still get goosebumps when I watch it. Every. Single. Time. To date I have not heard better, more spine tingling music than I have in this video. CCP, we need another one of these.

Funny enough, it wasn’t the massive starfights that intrigued me the most in this trailer, but instead the little segment at 1:34 with the fleeing merchant. It’s just momentary, but I love how you can FEEL the fear and tension this guy’s experiencing when he mentions his cargo is many times more valuable than the ship carrying it. Not to mention that he’s been hunted by pirates across multiple systems. Very tense, and a brilliant addition to this trailer.

I wish more game trailers are like this. This is heartwarming and totally awesome, really showed that the social element matters. Shame it won't work with BF/CoD though.

That was pretty exciting to watch even though i had now idea what was happening.

Seven and a half years ago this trailer was released. And it's still my favorite. This is my go-to video when I want to explain to people what Eve Online is.

it's a game where you can find yourself flung into the craziest situations and story lines based on the acts of a community, I started just a simple security ship watching miners I get drafted into a covert punishment squad to go kill a thief in our own corp, when he is killed we return to find our group was sold out bye our CEO and kicked out of the alliance so we rally our little force and rebel striking back and dismantling an alliance 10 times our size. this kinda epic shit doesn't happen in wow!

I cry a little every time i watch this, best memories a game can give

I've been playing EvE on and off since release.. moreso in the last 3 or 4. I was one of the many beta testers. So much has changed since 2004 but after playing in excess of 20 MMO's in the last 15 years... not one has been as close as EvE to giving me a heart attack through sheer adrenaline. However you decide to play it... slowly learning it or in a rush.... its worth it. Keep at it. The reward outweighs the effort put in.

I don't know about you guys, boasting about flying in fleet within 2 months and people complaining this game is boring and it would take a year to participate in this. I've been playing Eve for about close to a month, i had a trial account years back. Since i'm a working adult now, i decided to sign up for 1 year. Just doing tutorials learning skills. Flying in space doing security missions. I actually enjoy the game alot, and i believe after some time ill get into a decent corp and participate in fleet battles. This game is relaxing to me, well of course there are parts which i don't understand and it kinda frustrates me. But ultimately it is a game where i could just spin my Camera around, zoom in and out, feel lost in space, kill some NPC pirate/ships. I'm not even rushing into anything, just happy with the little achievements i get. I could even Queue the skills i want. I can have a life while my Character trains. I can go for my Judo trainings, hang out with my GF watch a movie, log in 1-3 days later... Viola! Now my Algos can dispatch 5 drones and destroy a target 40km away. I think this game requires patience, having an open mind and also having a love for spaceships. I believe rushing into things would make this game less enjoyable. Usually i'll play the game for about 1-2 hours. There's not much grinding. That's the beauty of this game.

Being new to Eve, I absolutely adore this trailer. It's probably the main reason I started playing the game. I really think CCP should do more stuff like this

Revisiting this in 2018. I stopped playing many years ago but this is still the most epic game trailer I've ever seen..

This is single-handedly the best trailer for a video game ever made. I came across this last night when it appeared as a youtube ad. I watched it start to finish which is a first for me. At multiple times I got goosebumps. There has been only two other times that games gave me that feeling. 1 is the Assassins Creed II intro and 2 is the Deus Ex: Human Revolution intro cinematic. The mind boggling thing is that the trailer is 5 years old and it's still awe inspiring! Amazing.

Probably one of the coolest game ads I have ever seen.

I first saw this during the Game Awards 2014 and I was so impressed by the music, the animation, the players' commentaries and the gameplay. It was so epic.

i'd love to play this sometime, but reading stories about it sound like reading stories of real empires going to war with each other and a universe of player ran politics and economy, and with such an old game I can't help but feel a little intimidated

EVE has been a part of my life 17+ years and counting... there is no other game like it!

i feel like a child looking at something amazing not knowing whats going on, telling myself that the time will come that this will be the best thing ever available for me and my future pc... until i grow up and realise that this game is not only about epic adventures and raiding and teamwork.... but also tons of tons of work and playhours and frustration and basically everything bad a mmo brings with itself. this looks like a space world of warcraft with immense graphics.. it looks faszinating, but i dislike world of warcraft for a reason and that is one thing all these games have in common: G R I N D I N G .

I come back and watch this trailer once in a while to get inspired. Best game trailer. Hands down.

I got pretty emotional watching this, though it's been years since I quit. Though actually playing it is the equivalent of Valium for a lot of people - it might be because all they do is run NPC missions in highsec :P.

For some reason, "this is where we fight" fills me with a feeling of awe and reverence. And the monologue of that one guy going solo in the "unknown region" was amusing.

Just watched this in 2020 and thought damn that was a well done trailer. Had to come find it and was surprised it is from 2014.

Best ADULT game ever.

A great trailer, a perfect example of how to displaying your game, by showing how the game actually is.

There is so much freaking hud clutter in this game I don't understand why they even render ships.

From what I've heard and and seen of EVE, this is less than half of the game for many players, most of it is grinding and spreadsheets. Not to say that that doesn't interest people, the game certainly has a substantial player base who engage in all of those activities, but this ad feels as if it's misleading people to the extent that the spreadsheets and grinding aren't shown.

As epic as the trailer is I can't find anything like this on RU-vid, which is sad. When I looks up 'epic Eve online battle' I just get a bunch of nerds hanging outside a amazing looking fight and going "oh the 2-11 is down, get ready for a warp, how much Isk was that blah blah blah". It just makes it look so boring and just something for nerds to hang out around and calculate stock prices during cool battles instead of risking it all and having FUN by stopping being a chicken and fighting with everyone. Even if you wouldn't last very long it would be a lot more fun than hanging outside and squealing over random numbers, sheesh

i came back to this video after seeing BF2042 trailer. the vibes for EVE still hold true, just as BF

The thing about this game is it feels like this massive virtual universe UNTIL you realize all you're doing is manipulating spreadsheet data and clicking around different menus, then it lost it's magic and became a chore to play.

I know it makes me a sad nerd...but this gives me chills every time.

since the company shut down World of Darkness online, I refused to give them any support.

@Marion Gamer the game is highly optimized, plus the first 30 days are free.

Shame it will take years of tedious bullshit before you can even try and do anything like that.
